Update: I removed AM to see if that was causing the issue of no partner, and still none spawned, so it's not AM. Also, my firefighter met coworkers on his first day, but since then, the firehouse is ALWAYS empty. No one else ever shows up there. Is this expected behavior?
Are you sure you have story progression on, within the game? It's got to be on in the first place for the AM story stuff to work, AM SP makes sims actually do things not just in pop ups. Ah, nope. Story progression was turned off in the game, as I thought AM took over that function.

Better handling of umbrellas? My Firefighter was trying to put out a fire, but kept getting out his damn umbrella because it was raining. He looks like a retard running around with an umbrella when he should be putting out fires.

Have latest AM, latest patch. I searched and the most recent report of this problem is 2010. I have a brand new game. AM is the only mod. Most EPs and SPs. New sim, law enforcement career, whenever I select "Get to know partner" from her work menu, I'm notified that she needs to meet one first. It looks like this used to be an issue that was nerfed a long time ago, so I probably missed something simple.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released

I reinstalled my games. Both sims 3 and Wa are from torrents. Fresh installed patched game. No hacks or anything. My game crashes when it is loading up the neighborhood. I tried both sunset valley and Riverview. Can anyone tell me how to get my neighborhood to load?
I had the exact same issue with clean game, with and without AM, NO custom content. I do have a BRAND NEW laptop with an "unsupported video card". The game works fine with the previous version. Add in this patch and I get CTD at loading the neighborhood. I THINK it's a video card/patch issue. I'm not going to have time to try the patch again until after the holidays.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Fixing lag caused by a bad .package
|

Shouldn't deleting the offending packages and cache files do it?
I d/l and installed HPs skins and face detail. Placed them in D:/Program Files/EA/TS3WA/Mods/Packages/Skins. Deleted simcompositorcache and scriptcache. Turned on game. UNBEARABLE LAG. Deleted package files, deleted caches again, restarted game. No change in lag. Is there a way to get the speed back? What step am I missing?

Well, uninstalling and reinstalling fixed my CTD issues. I"m running awesomemod and the no-intro mod and all the Sims Store stuff with no issues. I have not yet replaced any custom hairs or clothes that are not from the store. So hopefully I can add my stuff in bit by bit without starting the crashes again.

Running "slow" has two possible causes: 1. Everything in your computer has been forced into swapspace by TS3's RAM-eating, and as a result, the computer disk-thrashes. 2. Your computer is overheating, and modern computers will downclock themselves in response to heat buildup to avoid a fire, and thus will run slowly.
Based on the claim that restarting instantly fixes it, case 1 seems more likely, meaning your crashes are caused by TS3's memory leaks eating all your RAMs, finally running out, and crashing.
I'm quite certain MOAR RAMS is not my answer. I have 4 GB plus 1 GB on the dedicated card. I'll try rebooting though. For me, it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME I put the game in high speed. ETA: I also forced vsync on my card and it made no difference. The only thing that may be of note is that when I was installing, it did tell me my video card was not on the list of supported cards. It is an nVidia GeForce GT 220M 1 GB

Thanks for the tip. I will look at that for sure! It is still happening at high speed now that my sims have returned from vacation, when they go to sleep and the speed changes to 3, I have just a few seconds before it crashes.
EDIT: After reading more about the fpslimiter, I think that may be the issue, d/l now. I have a fancy new laptop with a 1 gb dedicated video card that is probably turning into molten plastic as I try to play.
Another edit: fpslimiter did not help. They slept at speed 3 for a little longer, then, CTD just like has been happening.

I'm having random CTDs also. My laptop is not even warm. I am in a tomb, and my sims bladder is about to asplode. I can play about 30-45 seconds right now without a crash. Only mods I have in are Awesomemod and the body sliders, which have not been used yet. I do not get error messages. I have 2.2.8 WA with a purchased copy of TS3.
CC is mostly store stuff, with a few clothes and hair from TSR.
UPDATE: It seems to be consistently happening at speed 3 or 4.

Is this a sort of rip-off mod? It doesn't work. What's more I had a look at ur packages. In the gameplay package you made no changes that make elder & teen romance possible or anything else. That's why it doesn't work. Explain yoself. Y did u waste my time with this? R u tryin to virus us?

Some place to do a public woohoo! If they visit the theater you get the option "woohoo backstage" it's the only one I found so far though, maybe there are more places but i'm not sure. I read in a post that every rabbit hole you can visit has a woohoo option. It definitely works for the city hall. Choose tour with so-in-so then click on the building. Is this an intended pun?

I miss actual BABIES! I had pics of all my sims giving their babies their first bath. It was really cute. I know that Pescado is going to stomp me for saying this, but I liked it.
And it's not an object, but I miss sit down/family meals. Everything else they do SO SLOW, but eating they snarf in moments before their family can even make it to the table to sit down and eat.
