Its not a  question of being lazy, I have a mac and no access to a PC. I would gladly do it myself if i could.

Wrong. This has been covered numerous times. You are being lazy. Learn how to search and stop expecting the rest of the world to cater to you.

Oh dear, I thought the world would stop turning and help me, but I guess I only managed to get peoples kitties in an up roar.

Ik this is always asked, but is there any place to get the decrapified sets for September?

Decrapify them yourself. It's been said over and over that we're not supposed to share decrapified files since they could cause issues. Stop being so fucking lazy and do it yourself.

The Mac bald head issue now seems to be linked to certain accessories that are in package form not showing on sims.
Great faulty Ambitions took the hair bug and made it worse  Cry

Sorry for being a noob, but where would a mac user place this new Mods folder?

from Finder: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 Huh

Never mind I found out how.

My game also seems to be experiencing the bald custom hair thing a lot more frequently now in addition to my accessories not appearing on sims and my inability to change households.

Out of nowhere today some of my accessories failed to show up on sims like daluved1's long nails and all of Tamo's earrings. Strangely all accessories for feet (socks, nails) showed up fine.

10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: EA store stuff in *.dbc format - a torrent on: 2010 February 05, 22:41:47
whats the new decrapification method? Its not merging single packages into a big one?
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: EA store stuff in *.dbc format - a torrent on: 2010 February 04, 22:56:14
Anyone going to make a .dbc of the more recent sets (i.e. I Heart The 50's and BahHaus)?

most likely but not right away.

graycurse could you put it in a rar and split it up into 100 mb files and put it on hotfile?
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! (Manually creating .dbc archives) on: 2010 January 10, 19:21:11
Can some one make new dcb files for the new store updates for those of us with mac? It would be much appreciated.

Coconnor, any chance you can upload your cache files and they will work for me??
I PM'd you and was trying to upload the file, but it's too large for 4-Shared.  I then tried to zip just the file ending in .dbc and upload that ~ also too large.  I'm not sure if it would have worked anyway.  Tomorrow, I'll try another source when I get a chance.  I'm on the Board of my Homeowner's Association, am the webmaster, created the website and have an FTP server with that, so I'll try that and if I can make that work, I'll send you a link to the file.

If you have the link i would love your cache files too. My TS3 base game is all they way back at my college and im here for a month. So it is not just laziness haha. I would reinstall if i could.

I hope ea fixes the launcher soon! I can't play the game with a half stocked catalog of furniture and clothes.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released on: 2009 December 23, 22:33:39

Try cutting all your package conversion files to your desktop and then starting your game to see what difference it makes.

The only files that worked were the modern minimalist. Im about to cave and buy the sets i really miss Sad

coconnor, unfortunately I didn't back them up Sad
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released on: 2009 December 23, 01:28:11
I hope some better solution to this situation will appear. The conversion of store files into package files lags my game so much it won't start.

**Edit
My game will not start with package conversions expect the modern minimalist set. Could this be because it is newer than the others?

thanks coconnor
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released on: 2009 December 22, 02:37:50
is there any way we can compress our Sims 3 packaged content , like we did to Sims 2 packages?

Aldo where at MTS can I find this Process Monitor?
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released on: 2009 December 21, 18:34:47
I don't think there is a list out yet. However some people reported that certain files they had downloaded for Sims 3 in actuality were sims 2 files. Obviously the game can't run them so they attempted to load in a loop causing longer load times. Its really best if you get it and run it yourself, though it is a somewhat long process. Its very much worth it if you are suffering grossly large load times.

I can't run it. I have a mac.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released on: 2009 December 20, 19:59:54
Thank you Coconner!!  This works.  I have deleted the offending files and the load time is down from 45 mins to 3-4.  Thanks for the tip.  Now all I need is to get me sims3pack files back.

do you have a list of these bad files?
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released on: 2009 December 20, 00:27:59
Has anyone else converted all their simpacks to package files? I have, and now my game takes foooooooooooooooorever to load.
