1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Into The Future Thread of Joy and Woe. on: 2013 October 27, 16:14:18
My game is playing smoothly. One thing I do not like is that the game does not fast forward when only the bots are awake in the house. I wish the sims would use their cars unless we tell them to use the jetpacks or boards. I have one sim that boards all over town instead of using her car. I have a few glitches but overall it plays well, so far.

I think the world is quite beautiful, and much more than I expected.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TSR now a free site on: 2013 October 25, 04:40:05
I just downloaded a few sets I have wanted and had no problems. I went straight to the artist's things and was able to download them right away.

Good news. I think they really had no choice if they wanted to survive, and I think as you said Inge, it was needed to mend fences with EA a bit.

I cannot place the register from the sellers collection. I keep getting an error that the counter has no slots.

I just checked that site and there is a lot of cool stuff there. It seems like he would be the person to work with in a project like this, if he is willing to do so.

I think it is a cool idea but that it is not something that can be done. We can only build on the ground and floors and it would be an object. And if it covers the barge it will block access for sims so it could never be used and never be moved by them. Someone would have to design a whole new lot type and I don't think that will happen.

Your B redo is looking great.

I thought of Fresh Prince also but do not know if he does requests. I think your other best chance is to request this at MTS. You can try TSR but probably will not have luck there as the forums there are about dead.

One issue is that if you place this object over the hull the game will probably consider as an object and not a floor, so you will not be able to build on it. Also, there is the issue of how sims would access it.

7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Movie Stuff Pack Available on: 2013 September 23, 05:46:58
I am not getting it for this reason. I like some of the items but do not want them showing up all over my towns. I do not want Western showing up in IP, superhero in my goth world and so on. I really like the horror items, but will not get it just to get them.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: OFB coming to TS3 - Midnight Hollow on: 2013 September 23, 05:44:05
I am glad to be getting what we will be getting. Something is better than nothing. I wish we could sell Sim done paintings and so on, but no. But that is OK. I am looking forward to it. And the town and items look good to me.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Deleting the buggers on: 2013 July 25, 03:10:32
I deleted an individual sim or two a few years ago and will not do it again. I had problems with stuck sims, sims dropped partially down into the floor, and invisible sims. My advice is not to do it, per my experience. I did it in 2 but will not in 3. I evict sims and let them die on the clipboard all the time with no issues.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Piss and Moan about IP thread on: 2013 July 25, 02:53:09
I have objects all over the house that become unusable. Dressers, beds, chairs and so on. All of the sudden they are blocked and if you try to move them in buy mode it shows red areas that were not before. I checked in the living room trying to place a kid toy and there were blocked spots all over the place that should not be.

I also have sims try to use things and cannot and go to the front of the lot to complain. A sim will not be able to use an object on the third floor and walk all the down to the front of the house to stomp and complain. I had pretty much zero of this before IP.

So irritating!
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.55 on: 2013 June 25, 10:16:09
I kinda jumped the gun and started playing with new patch, supplanting AM with some Nraas goodies. My impatience is costing me dearly however. One of the more annoying bugs i'm experiencing is that NPC Mixologists at bars and clubs just go dancing and playing darts, and any attempt at ordering from the bar kinda resets the sim ordering to a neutral spot nearby. Strangely though it does not affect the Mixologist For Hire over the phone.

Sims resetting from the professional bars is a reported bug, and I have that too. If you/we replace the bars it fixes the issue supposedly.

I have to ask, how do we set the priority level of a folder? I have Windows 7. I have looked and even googled for an answer and so far cannot find any option to set a priority level for folders.

I have the latest cc merged from post 1 and the DV dragon fix and the eggs still are not hatching.

Your framework, from here or MTS, should have come with an overrides folder and a resource.cfg file, that's what sets the priority. The one I have has different priorities for different folders in your mod folder, like a test, probation, or an overrides folder. I just checked mine and it hatched, if you hover over the egg it should have a countdown.

I get the countdowns and the notice that it is time to hatch, and then the count goes to zero and nothing happens.
I have my Mods folder, with the packages folder and overrides folder and the resource file inside it. I put the DV dragon fix in the overrides. I have tried the cc merged in both the dc backup and in the packages. So far, no hatching.

You all are doing some wonderful builds, and it is fun that they vary so much. There should be a challenge for houseboats when IP comes out.   Smiley
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Uni Life Thread on: 2013 March 11, 21:26:40
I like the world and like that EA did not make way too much of it unroutable as usually done. I have already placed about 10 more lots including nuking the drive in screen and building, and placing a festival lot in that area. The straight roads made it easy to place lots along the water which I like as they will have a good view. I can build some bars, have added a salon already, and a consignment shop, the theatre, and plan to build quite a few new places for the sims to go while there.

17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Uni Life Thread on: 2013 March 11, 02:54:22
It sounds like we need to send a sim with high handiness skill and get things upgraded to unbreakable once and for all. And can we place a Bonehilda in dorms? That would be funny to see. From what I have heard changes made in the dorms are staying that way when other sims arrive later.  One person has even left cars there. And others have found that paintings done are staying there.

I like the toddler items too but my sims are putting toddlers in that crib all the time and leaving them there. IMO EA has the attraction coding on it a bit too high. I had a sim perform at a nightclub and some other sims in the household there to watch. When they finally came home at about 4 in the morning, there was the toddler, outside in the crib, in the pouring rain. Nobody had fed her, nobody had changed her, and nobody had put her to bed. Even Bonehilda did not get her. I really am having to watch to see that it is not overused.

Thank you for the replies about the grill. I am pretty sick now, but when feeling better will play with this a bit more and see if something will work.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 02.21.2013) on: 2013 February 26, 08:04:31
If you want to read this, here is an example of a thread with reports that the grill was not working. The solution that worked for some of us was to use the ccmerged file provided by Nona. That is why I thought that if the grill were included in the ccmerged file here that it might work again.

http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/605535.page

It is not a game deal-breaker by any means, but if it is possible to include it in the ccmerged file here when next updated it might help. Thanks.

Edit: Someone was kind enough to give me a heads up that Nona has updated her ccmerged file.  I will get that and see if it makes a difference.

Edit: The sims still reset and cannot use the grill to cook.
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 02.21.2013) on: 2013 February 26, 02:24:14
I and other people have been unable to do anything but the tricks and if we select to make something the sim resets. When it first came out we were able to use a ccmerged by Nona and that solved the problem. Now that I am using a newer ccmerged, the grill no longer works again. That is why I was hoping it could be included in the ccmerged here.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 02.21.2013) on: 2013 February 25, 03:31:08
I just downloaded and installed your newest ccmerged and the balloon problems I had are gone. Thank you. I still have a teppanyaki grill that does not work and resets sims. It worked for a while with a ccmerged from Nona, but does not work with the newer ccmerged packages. I see that it is not one of the items listed as fixed in the ccmerged information. If possible, when you have a chance are you able to fix it and add to the ccmerged? It would be appreciated.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Crashes when Saving- DEP not working. on: 2013 February 24, 03:06:42
It probably needs a fix. It is a compressorized package.

Edit 2-24: I now have the newest ccmerged from KT and the game now saves with no crashes. Hooray.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: More Featured Than You on: 2013 February 23, 01:34:32
I look mostly for build objects and MTS has a whole 6 items last August to now. And Buy is just about as bad. I guess so little is being submitted that they need to feature some things that are clearly not deserving of it. And I agree about the lots. There are lots there that are nothing special whatsoever. I read the submissions requirements once and thought they were way overboard.

And don't even get me started about TSR.

I think it is a combination of many good creators who no longer want to deal with some of the major CC sites, and the sites driving them away.  It is a shame as I like CC, and there is less and less to be found that is quality stuff.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2013 February 22, 23:59:11
Placing the balloon on a lot is causing my game to crash when saving. I have placed it in a new AS and also in the world I am playing with my legacy family, and it causes a crash for both. Otherwise, my game saves with no problems, but place the balloon, and CTD on the save attempt.
