TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Generations: What Sucks, What's Fucked, and What Did EA Get Right by Utter Luck

Memory feature is really wonky. Removed all the mods and cleared the caches to playtest with a random couple from Barnacle Bay to check the memory system: made the woman yell, fight and divorce and she was the only one who had the separation and divorce memories. He didn't have any, even though he was talking to his new ex wife. He then autonomously yelled at her and had a 'huge fight' memory and she didn't get any. Kid was miserable from their instant divorce but didn't get any memory at all. Some random sim called to ask to bring her kid to play with mine, the ex husband decided to forget his wife by playing ball then the game decided it was way too much bullshit and froze. Duh.
In short, a sim only get the memory if he initiated the action, which sucks since I hoped that memory sytem could be used to know what happened to a sim while you were away playing other famblies.
I think it's been suspected that the so-called memories are in fact only mere photographs in an album.

According to SimPrograms, the patch was pulled due to 'some major bug'
LOLWUT? Latest Patch RemovedJust a quick note to let you know that EA have noticed people have got the latest patch, and they have removed all the files from their servers. So, unless someone uploads it to a file sharing service, you can not update yet unless you have the game! We'll keep you updated. I suspect it's more like they don't want people to have the new features for the base game yet since the EP isn't officially out. I won't even mention the fact that the link above still works. Next time check your sources before spouting crap about "X says..." [snip] Well, sure would be nice of them to share that on their website proper instead of putting it on FACEBOOK. It's SimPrograms on FB, not EA themselves.

You people have forgotten SIMs 2 base game so quickly. Majority of the EPs were already in base game it is the expansions which activate them. Wrong assumption. The EPs included meshes and original colors. You could not do anything with the base game because meshes were missing. Not true that everything was already in a sack. My group have massively downloaded objects and meshes custom made by several of some dead sites. At every EP we were just confirming that custom contents that were put free for the users were just slightly made up and included in the EPs. So, they were not there, WE put them available, just that normal modders don't have immediate access to ass expensive tools/programs. The EP that finally included a comprehensive bunch of alternatives to make objects available in game, was Appartment Life. Before this EP you could do nothing with the base game, first because it was too primitive and remained primitive throughout Seasons, BV and all previous crap. Finally as everything was already doggone, they released the pseudo EP Mansions &... It included nothing that you could not find at MTS2. But it finally released all the coding so that people with a little patience could sew together all the EPs in one (I did, so any tard could do it). Could you elaborate on this "sewing of the EP's" together?

I downloaded from MistyK and compared her files to your torrented files. All files seem re-compressorized already. Thanks Motoki, jordi, and MistyK! Edited: Actually, I ran into the same problem Tomislaw did with the JetSetElders until I re-compressorized it (again?? since the file did not shrink at all). I'm no techie, but maybe something corrupted the file the first time it got re-compressorized. Edited 2: Mirrored all 5 files in 1 zip here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=T5Z6H4RX

I noticed that too. When they announced the game was no longer going to be released in February, but rather in June, all talk about releasing a tool to edit neighborhoods stopped.
If we don't get the tool in either World Adventures or by years end, I doubt we will get it at all. But with all the negative feeling towards World Adventures on the BBS, and all the people who want a tool to make/edit neighborhoods, watch EA put that in WA as a new feature just to get people to buy it.
Going off EA's previous record, I wouldn't even expect that. Instead, if you're lucky, you'll get a half-arsed neighbourhood terrain editor with most of the functionality removed and accessible only via a cheat code, a la FreeTime. That's what I think. At best, EA will do a half-assed job at making a neighborhood editor. They are either too "busy" making crap for the Store, grinding out increasingly buggy EP's, or rolling in the cash they made off us.

You better ramp up the hope.
For TS1, they promised us they would release Edith. They never released it.
For TS2, they promised us a custom mesh/new object editor. They never released it. Instead, the community could wait no longer and made their own.
For TS3, they promised us a neighborhood editor. They have not yet released such a tool.
The trend doesn't look good.

You know, I think that's what's been bugging me about the before, that I couldn't quite put my finger on. She looks too much like fake plastic celebrity pretty.
Yes, yes! Fake and plastic! I agree. I like the jaw of the "Before" more as well. The "Before" looks more natural, whereas the "After" looks like she had little tweaks done by a Korean plastic surgeon. I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.
Just so I know what kind of Tard you are, do you have a problem with Koreans, plastic surgeons, or just when a person is both at the same time? !! I didn't know if I shouild be offended by the whole Korean statement. My gut feeling was "yes", but "tard" may work depending on whether or not that's a politically correct statement by itself. Funnykid has the pictures confused, anyway. It's the first that has a plastic and stretched look about her. FYI, I'm Asian and one of my best friends is Korean. I certainly do not have a problem with Korean or plastic surgeons. I was referring to the fact that almost all Korean celebrities have had minor to extensive plastic surgery - some with great results, and some leaving much to be desired. I'm sorry if my comment offended you or anyone else.

Actually OpiumGirl, I think the "before" sim is prettier than the "after" sim. I like the longer distance from nose to mouth in the "before" sim, for instance, as I think it works better with the full lips. I'm definitely not seeing the fug that you're complaining about.

Thanks so much for the files! In the Mediafire link, Castle doesn't work (says it's been deleted) and Asian Fusion is missing. Could you please fix these? Again, I really appreciate your uploads.

And the moving wall hangings vertically thing...that was what AL or M&G? It was nice but really it's too recent to expect it to have made base TS3. Look at spiral stair cases. We didn't get them til Makin Magic for TS1 and it took til AL to get them in TS2. I get what people are saying about a new game needing to be better than it's predecessor is NOW but that just isn't EA's M.O.
Actually, spiral staircases came in UL. SS brought curved staircases.

Yes, new with AL, something like - 20,000 for the first adult, 5,000 for every additional adult, 3,000 per teen, 2,000 per child, 1,000 per toddler, 500 per pet.
How stupid! All the poverty challenges are around for a reason! Too much money. As if it wasn't bad enough already. I hope Pescado will come up with a noinstantrichsims-hack. Personally, I always thought it was stupid that multi-sim families got the same amount as single sims. This new system makes much more sense to me. To each her own. I agree.
