TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Stack # Out of Range
|

I need the help of someone more awesome than me.
I keep getting "stack number out of range" errors. They happen mostly when I click or hover the pointer over a sim.
99% of my mods are Awesome and I have all EPs (none of the SPs).

I was having this error whenever a certain sim tried to get in their car to go to work. So I checked that all my hacks were up to date and petsp0-jobfixes was the one I needed to update. Initially, this seemed to fix the problem, but a couple of sim days later it's happening again.
anyway, I'll attach the log just in case.

I'm getting errors every time a dog pees on the floor. Removing noteleportpuddle seems to fix this. It might be related to what dizzy has posted about above... Here's the error log, anyway. Edit: Soz, it seems this error has already been posted on two other areas of the site......it's hard to keep up. [attachment deleted by admin]

- several threads have noted problems with jewelry not showing up...not so concerned about jewelry, but makes me wonder about Crammyboy's "jewels" and whether that awesome accessory has been effected
Crammyboy's "jewels" are showing up. Though, I've not yet tried clicking on them to see whether they're "functioning" properly.

I'm also having the the same problems described above.
Also, I'm seem to be getting the olde phone attack spam. Incessant phone calls for 2-4 hours a day. (Everytime you put the phone down it rings again).
I only have your Pets approved stuff in my downloads. (and TwoJeffs approved mods).

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: School data resets for kids and teens

I've run across a bug I can't fix or find the source of. Everything works fine while I am playing. However, when I save and quit and then resume the next day, I find that one or more of my school age sims have had their data reset. By this I mean that they have a grade of C and are in public school, even when all their siblings are in private school and still have an A+. They still have memories of getting into private school, but the flags have been reset. It seems to happen whenever a school age sim interacts with someone else while they are not controllable. Example: A child in family A brings home a friend from school, and it happens to be a child from family B. The next time I play family B, I find that the child who visited the neighbors has had her data reset. It also happens to EVERY school age sim in the family if I move them to another house.
Are you using a no-CD crack? Because I was and I had the exact same problem, as well as a broken grade meter for all my YA's. I fixed it by getting rid of my no-CD crack and Daemon Tools, which I was using to mount an mini-image. Now I'm using Game Jackel (free version) and not having the same problems (though, it's only been a week).

I only play pleasantview, so, I just delete the sims 2 file from My Documents. Is this ok or should I follow your instructions but delete N001 instead?
Usually N001 is Pleasantview. If that's what you want to delete.... LOL. I know N001 is usually Pleasantview. I was just wondering if just deleting my sims 2 folder was a *safe* way to reset my neighbourhood(Pleasantview)?

Delete the current strangehood (ususally N002) folder from your My Documents\EA Games folder first, then copy the template from program files as stated in the thread. Deleting first will ensure that nothing of the old version of the hood will remain behind.

Have you read the RTFM for the Kitten Killer? I think that, for sims that are close to the end stage of teen, they are 'graduated' from high school while they are on the verge of either becoming an adult or going to Uni. I'm fairly certain this is a feature of InTeen.
When they 'dropping out' do they end up in public school or are they not in school at all? If they are not in school at all... then it is probably InTeen. I think there is a flavorpak to change this.
They drop back into public school, and their grade is ruduced to a C. Also, I do have that flavor pak installed. I think it's called No Adult Teens. However... if you find that your sims are 'dropping out' and end up in public school, this might be due to Pescado's private school bill fix, or whatever it's called. It makes private school more expensive, and if you can't afford it, then your sim gets booted.
I don't use Pescasdo's private school bill fix 'cos it conflicts with something (inteen?) . I spent a few hours yesterday trying to find a link as to why it's happening, anyway, here's a scenario (bare with me, I'm useless at explaining things): I Enter Uncle Leo's lot. Leo's brother, Clive has 3 children Tom(teen), Dick(child) and Harry(child) in private school. Leo calls Harry on the phone and invites him over. Once there Leo feeds him some delicious mac&cheese and then says bye-bye. Leo then calls Tom on the phone, to chat for an hour or so. Now I exit Uncle Leo lot and enter Clive' lot. Harry and Tom have both dropped into public school and dropped to a C grade, while Dick, who doesn't care for Uncle Leo and has had no contact with him is still in private school. Also, It doesn't seem to matter if the sim, a child/teen interacts with is a relative. I should also add, as my neighbourhood is new and pretty puny in size it's hard to test this extensively, as I only have about 10 children or teens in private school. But the ones who are, seemingly drop down whenever they are called or invited over by an adult (only if I'm playing the adults lot). I hope that makes some sense

I seem to be having a problem with this mod (which I love btw)
I have all EPs and I'm patched up to date (also, Christmas/Holiday Pack).
I'm getting random teens and children dropping out of private school (seems to be teens more often than children). The said children or teens always have the option to re-enroll on the phone, so it's not a massive problem, but their grade always drops to a C.
The only vague link I can make (amongst the teens) is romantically interacting with adults, but even that's probably coincidental. Also, this only happens when I re-enter a lot.
I play with *testingCheatsEnabled* and I'm getting no error logs.
Most of the hacks I use are Awesome. The other hacks that COULD be a problem (but are probably not): Kitten Killer, Insim and Moniques homeworkfasterfun.

This also happens to me, but it happens with every sim that goes to uni, even the maxis made sims.
It's not that big a deal for me, as Jack said above, just use College Rampage and switch off. Anyway, for me, it sorta makes uni slightly more interesting not knowing what level their grade is at.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Good reason for *not* getting FFS (Family Fun Stuff)

I don't think I am buying anymore packs. From: musique0214 Subject: Re: Family Fun Pack Problems
Okay, I have the Sims 2 and all the Eps and have never had a problem. I had never even needed to download a patch before. So I get Family Fun Stuff. First question, why did the specs change for a bunch of objects and clothing any way? The specs did not change for Open for Business and it actually included lots of new game play. Well my computer's graphic card did not meet the new specs. I did not even dream that they would change the specs for a bunch of objects so I installed the game. I got flashing walls and a three day stay in the hospital due to seizure I had because I have epilepsy. Well, my dad ordered me a new graphic card since he felt bad for me but I don't think I want this game anymore anyway. I can download much nicer objects that do not mess up my game (read the above and learned of all the new glitches). My second question is why does Maxis continue to release games with such major bugs? I realize that it would be hard to catch all the small bugs as ever! yone's computers are different and with cc and all. Are they trying to go out of business by releasing games that only a few can play without major problems? I am not usually one to complain but it is getting ridicules! Am I the only one who is questioning why a person who has epileptic seizures was playing a video game that is prone to flash? When is the game prone to flash? I've never had the game "flash", why would a person who has epileptic seizures be wary of playing? I've not had any problems with the FFP (apart from regretting purchasing it) but why should someone with epilepsy be wary?
