1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2014 November 02, 17:52:22
I'm also still looking for the Sandy Shoals Sea Shanty lot, I've googled to no avail.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Testing the waters: What do you want in a 'hood? on: 2011 May 12, 15:24:31
I really love this idea. I agree with most of what has been said. If I were to ever build a hood (unlikely as I'm not a builder - I just download!) I would take real life examples into account.

For instance, most cities/towns have commercial zoning - so most of the stores/public places/community lots would be grouped near to each other (thus eliminating as some people mentioned, the need to run ALL the way across the hood to skill.) Some community lots, like the school, library, stadium, should be closer to residential, as in real life. A downtown, with a few skyscrapers, clubs, bars, fast food joints, would be welcome in their own little area. Agree with the rural need - I want some space for a few farms /cabins. So there needs to be some woodsy (a maybe hilly with a pond) area (for just a couple cabins for the family camping trips /hermit sims) that is route-able, and some set-aside flat land for farms (deco or sim-tended) - these would be at least a few street-widths distance from the rest of the residential.

Things I'd like in a world:

- A good number of starter homes (I'd be starting fresh!)
- Smaller number of mid-range houses
- Only a few (maybe 3) mansions (and not HUGE ones with so much space that you can't play them)
- One or two 'older' homes - if the neighborhood is 'well-established' meaning maybe the old Victorian on the hill, or the historical governors home
- Straight flat roads, lots etc closer to the roads (who wants to walk across 100 ft of grass to get inside?) (Unless for a reason like the one or two historial houses)
- Fishing, gardening, and cooking help lots (easy access, near to roads and close enough to the residents) with all the plants available (who wants to travel all the way to the other countries JUST to pick up recipes and fruit?)
- Room for expansion for future EP's/neighborhood growth. That said - I personally want at least one of each of the community lot types available. (IE - laundromat, dump, bar, club, firestation, police station, etc- there needs to be room for all of them in one hood - unlike Twinbrook and Sunset Valley)

I'll keep an eye on this, hope to see it progress!

Hmm...well I haven't been running a noCD since I have the digital downloaded version. I have awesomeMod installed as well. Will check further.
4  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: 3Booter, the Incooperative Game Kicker on: 2010 February 12, 07:47:45
I'm having problems with this setup myself. Downloaded the booter and fplimiter tonight and tried them in both the WA root, and the HELS root. Either way gives me a securom error. Anyway around this?
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 20, 02:55:36
Just a head's up, HP has new hair up on ModtheSims.
6  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Fig Leaves (How to remove them?) on: 2008 October 21, 23:09:56
When I get home I'm going to look into it further and see for sure. As far as I remember, it only has shown up on player-controlled sims, not townies/npcs.
7  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Fig Leaves (How to remove them?) on: 2008 October 21, 21:27:49
Thanks for all the insight. What made me think it was something more than just the Ecological outfit was the fact it only showed up in cases where the sim would otherwise be naked. I've never seen it elsewise. Mostly with outgoing sims who walk around naked after showers/woohoo/hottubs. I'll see if I can find a way to hide it further or remove it from categories so I never have to see it on them.
8  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Fig Leaves (How to remove them?) on: 2008 October 21, 20:33:10
I'll double check it, I was going to just do a clean installer search w/ pictures and see if I can nail them if they are somehow there. I know they aren't default replacement skins, because all the townies/dormies/npcs have the default skin replacements and I've seen them streak and or shower with no problems.

My elder male has relaxed in bed and shown them, and then yesterday one of my college sims walked out of the shower and downstairs to eat with the leaves. Other sims don't get shocked when they have the leaves, as opposed to being naked. Makes me believe it's some form of undies/clothing.
9  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Fig Leaves (How to remove them?) on: 2008 October 21, 20:02:36
Yeah, uninvited. They seem to only wear it however when normal naked events occur. I have no censor patch, not sure if any other nudist hacks (if there is one is DC) that may prevent it completely. Having to change them everytime is a pain.
10  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Fig Leaves (How to remove them?) on: 2008 October 21, 18:58:12
I've searched google, this site and MTS2 for answers to this. I have all expansions/stuff packs installed. MATY AL DC installed and the nocensor package. Only CC is default replacement skins/eyes, EAxis official dl's and a few recolors/hair/clothing conversions.

Some (not all) of my sims are getting the fig leaf covering. This has occurred prior to AL, I think it also was in my FT and BV installations as well. Is there a way (besides testingcheats) to remove this option?
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 April 30, 23:20:16
Did some google digging and found that JM had posted in regards to this and Macrotastics- which would continuously repeat despite the failure due to mood/motive. (Which was fixed to stop repeating) but I still don't know if the computer itself is borked due to EAxis or if there was another cause for this behavior. Maybe the sims fun score must be low and all others high to want to blog/browse web for their hobby.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 April 30, 20:17:58
Was there a fix (read whole thread here) for the hobby interactions not working on the computer even when all moods were in the green? Sim kept saying "I'm not in the mood!" - They suddenly started doing this and hadn't previously (even when fun was full). I have MATY hacks installed and no others.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasonal Age Project: RFC (Request For Comments) on: 2008 April 30, 17:52:32
This sounds interesting. I'm currently playing my first Legacy and noticed that it was a pain that the adults aged too fast (and as elders as well) because they would technically die (if no Elixir or cheats are used) before their children grew into adults (which isn't realistic). The hardest part was my founder wanted 10 Kids (which I fufilled, thanks to tons of Elixir). It would be nice to have the adults and elders live longer in order to see grandkids, but I agree with others that having babies/kids around that long would really get boring. Is this tweakable to custom tastes or are those values fairly set?
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No NPC Spawner options in Pie Menu on: 2007 November 04, 10:40:20
ah, I don't think I shift-clicked (just right clicked and so on) so I'll try that again to double check if it's working. Else the shrub. Thanks!
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No NPC Spawner options in Pie Menu on: 2007 November 03, 22:32:20
Thanks, I will try using the VC to ban and see if the game respawns em with the hack removed. Also, what did you mean by " clear them off with the teleporter? - I have the shrub, just teleport them away? (since you can't delete a sim w/o lovely sim pe which I've gotta download the BV work-in-progress).

Is there a way to unban them afterwards?
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No NPC Spawner options in Pie Menu on: 2007 November 03, 18:48:03
If I take those out, which I thought of doing will it super-populate with pets too? Cause I really don't want 50 strays or some such. Also, since I have a clean template, will the game actually generate more townies/downtownies if I take them out and load? (Cause then I'll just stick em back in so they will never reload for any reason unless the game has to have em)
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / No NPC Spawner options in Pie Menu on: 2007 November 03, 17:41:30
So, I used the clean templates etc and all went well. Yay. I currently have hacks installed- TwoJeffs BV Directors Cut and MATY's full BV zip as well. Took out anything that would conflict. Checked, scanned and rechecked. Nothing amiss. However, when using the testingcheats enabled, I still cannot get the option to spawn the NPC tree. Because the neighborhood is empty (Save my one townie Bella Goth (odd... I know)), my poor Legacy Sim has no one to meet. I need to spawn some townies to populate the neighborhood. Any ideas what might be amiss?
18  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2007 October 28, 00:32:46
Yes they are the cleaned and fixed. (At least the ones I have) You need to follow the instructions at page 1 of the thread for how to copy them over your orginal N001-3 files (after you back up the old ones or rename em with N001bak or something)
19  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2007 October 25, 08:20:05
Many thanks!
20  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2007 October 25, 07:41:58
Please delete this reply if necessary but edits to my post don't show up... so....

game will also add the 1 local / vacation hood

21  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2007 October 25, 07:31:55
Greetings and hi! I'm a non-awesome newb. After reading all of this (and many other posts here, much to my confusion) I think I finally have a plan of attack. What I'm going for is a Cleaned Up game. Not completely empty. Let me see if I got this right:

Installed game (I have all expansions/packs/patches) Sims thru BV.
Moved/backedup old stuff.
Empty EA Folder In My Documents.
Downloaded MATY hacks I will need (the whole pack actually)
Downloaded CAS/Face template replacements (to prevent EAxis fugliness)
Downloaded (this is optional) Custom Defaults for skintones/eyes (more fugliness prevention)
Downloaded cleaned/empty templates for Pleasantview, Veronaville, Strangetown, Downtown, Seasons (Riverblossom + Stealth), and BV (I will have to do Uni, Blue Water myself as the links are gone unless someone has them or I missed them)

backup all hoods

Need to: The Sims 2\TSData\Res\UserData\Neighborhoods
Rename N001 to N001-bak to disable it.

clean out uni/bluewater hoods per instructions here: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,5861.0.html

install all downloaded hoods (overwriting maxis ones)

Run game.

Game should:
-contain only maxis families/npcs/townies as left in the cleaned hoods (the ones I wanted to keep like Pleasant, Strange, Capulet, Kat, Travellers plus known friends/npcs )
-generate the 48 necessary tourists w/ replacement looks
-generate only 1 townie w/ replacement looks
-generate necessary npcs (and then after as necessary on a 1 per basis)

Be free of BFBVFS!

Ready to test and import more hacks/cc.

Did I get it?
