1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 August 30, 17:23:13
Let me introduce you to my Cole family:

This is Dolores - great kisser, schmoozer, charismatic, light sleeper, ambitious business woman who is also the mother of two teenagers. Dolores likes latin music, enjoys sushi and favors color grey. Here she is posing very professionally looking as always.

And here's Dan, who is a workaholic, heavy sleeper, snob, charismatic, ambitious head of the Cole family. Dan doesn't like latin music as much as his wife, but instead he's more into classical. He also has a fine taste when it comes to food; his favourite is lobster thermidor. Poor Dan just has waaay much of cooking to do until he can prepare his own lobster. Like his wife, he also likes grey.

Now to the younger generation. Here's the flirty, party animal, hopeless romantic, charismatic princess of the whole family - Melissa. Having rich parents results in her getting whatever she wants and whenever she wants. Melissa enjoys the mainstream pop music and sticks in autumn salad when it comes to eating. Here she is gussying up for a date with VJ Alvi.

Last but not least we'll meet Jesse. He's the official virtuoso, party animal, daredevil rocker of the family who's also equipped with a good sense of humor. Jesse can't stand listening to pop like her sister, he values Sunset Valley's indie artists more and hopes to be one himself in the future. Jesse is nothing like his politician father, and rather than munching gourmet foods, he likes to sink his teeth into a juicy hamburger. And of course like a true rocker, he always wears black. Seems like Jesse's really getting his groove on in the picture under!

So now you've met the Cole family. More pics about the family and their home here:

2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Objects I miss on: 2009 August 23, 17:13:21
Yesss, Monique's hack was just the one I meant, should've attached the thread link from MTS2. I would SO love that for TS3! I wouldn't want to cheat on the aging process, and I actually like my families getting new babies and going through that teach-to-talk-teach-to-walk-process all over again. Just playing a family where the father's dream is to raise 5 children from baby to teen. Three of them are teens now, but there are still two toddlers to go and the parents are getting old. Let's see what happens.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Objects I miss on: 2009 August 19, 11:37:02
Just reading this topic from the start and yes - I miss the stages, weather, cheap furniture, more build mode stuff and options for customizing them...

And I really wish that some talented modder would create the individual aging mod for Sims 3, it would be so handy!

One thing I'm also looking forward to is that modders and creators would modify some clothes, furniture and hair from Sims 2 to 3. I've seen a couple of hairs, but that's about it.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Why aren't my mods working? on: 2009 August 02, 14:28:03
Yup, my resource.cfg is directly in the Sims 3 folder, not in a subfolder or somewhere in my documents..

All mods are package-files, of course.

Attached is the resource.cfg as a txt-file.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Why aren't my mods working? on: 2009 August 01, 16:59:30
I took my mods out from the subfolder "Hacks" which was created by Install Monkey, and put them to the packages-folder, not working. Yes, I deleted the cache-files also. My resource.cfg is from MTS, created by Delphy, and haven't replaced it with anyone else's. Should I try to replace it though? All tips are appreciated!
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Why aren't my mods working? on: 2009 July 31, 13:43:34
Yeah, I reinstalled it after reinstalling the game.

Thanks for trying to help anyways.

Ooops! Sorry for posting in wrong section, I noticed it just now..  Embarrassed

I just reinstalled Helper Monkey today, no avail. Any other suggestions?
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Why aren't my mods working? on: 2009 July 31, 13:02:18
The topic subject sounds like a n00b question, but I'm beginning to be puzzled here..

I have all the necessary files, I've installed Delphy's Install Helper Monkey, everything's in the right place, I've checked and double checked but I can't get my mods to work in Sims 3. What puzzles me the most is that every other type of custom content is working just fine, but not mods. I even resorted to clean install, because I wanted make sure that nothing's borked in the gamefiles. So, if someone more experienced than me could shed some light into this, I'd be eternally grateful!
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Questions, questions.. on: 2008 May 06, 10:31:55
This isn't really a "where-can-i-find-this-and-that-cc-post", so don't move it to the CC-thread. Smiley

I'm just asking, has anyone made.. ?

- A mod, that disables romance-interactions between same-sex sims
(Or is that even possible? I want my sims to be perfectly straight, nothing else.)

- A mod, that prevents sims constantly busting to play SSX 3 when left unoccupied
(That's just bugging the heck out of me! Not all sims are computer-freaks!)

- A mod, that prevents sims from autonomusly stopping the "Chat With.."-interaction
(Again, sims stop that and start to play SSX 3.... GRRR!)

- A mod, that enables romance-interactions between young adults -> teens, teens -> adults and young adults -> adults
(Hey, people in real life have older/younger girlfriends/boyfriends, so why not sims!)

Well, these are the critical ones. If I suddenly remember something else, I'll post it here. Smiley
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims won't accept makeovers, except for free! on: 2008 April 09, 11:58:37
JM, where can I get antiprank and nopedostalkers? Can't find them.  Undecided
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims won't accept makeovers, except for free! on: 2008 April 09, 10:37:25
Someone should definitely make a mod for this, if it's possible!

I only use the makeup-chair for "townie-prettyfication/handsomizing".  Cheesy
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Sims won't accept makeovers, except for free! on: 2008 April 09, 09:18:15
This is really, REALLY starting to annoy me!  Angry

Here's the deal:
Every time I try to offer sim a makeover, he/she won't accept it - no matter the price, which is now being the ridiculous amount of 5 simoleans.
This happens with all ages and both sexes. But when I offer free makeover to someone, they always accept it! What's with that?

It's nice owning a beauty salon, when your customers have balloon fights most of the time they're on the lot and they only accept your offers if you're willing to give away your goods for free!
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Wedding question.. on: 2008 March 31, 22:37:21
Yup, I have all the expansions and stuffpacks.

I once tried to plan their outfits before the wedding, but for some reason they just changed into default wedding outfits under the arch.  Huh

I think I'm gonna try TwoJeffs' hack, but thanks for all the tips you gave me!
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Wedding question.. on: 2008 March 31, 14:53:36
Tried searching a thread about this but didn't find any, so here's my latest dilemma:

Is there any possible way to make sims marry under the wedding arch without them having to put on that lame Maxian wedding dress?

Yes, I know I could use the "Propose"-command and they would get married in whatever clothing they have on, but it's not as romantic as under the arch! It would be like:

"Wanna get married, honey?"
"Sure, and can I have some fries with that too?"

And the "lovely" wedding dress, that all brides from Pleasantview to Veronaville recycle in their weddings -- B00000ring!
And what about goth-brides? Or Pleasantview's own Dina Caliente, who wants some real glam in her wedding?

You know, I'm really getting frustrated with this, so please HELP ME if you can!

THANK YOU!

16  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Wardrobe cleaner on: 2008 March 26, 11:39:13
Hmmmmmm...

What an odd thing to happen, copied the DLL to the Plugins-folder, opened Wizards Of Simpe but the plugin won't work..  Huh

Just some error pops to my screen.

It worked the last time when I had SimPE installed..
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Game crashing when trying to change appearance through mirror on: 2007 November 11, 13:49:38
I think we may have a winner!

I suspect that I have a corrupted file somewhere in my folders, because bodyshop crashes too.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Game crashing when trying to change appearance through mirror on: 2007 November 11, 11:40:55
I have always thought that BS only deletes files from the BS catalog, not from the game or downloads folder.
Or the other option is that my BS is not working correctly, because when I delete something using BS, those deleted items are still on the CAS-catalog and they are working correctly.

Weird, I say..
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Game crashing when trying to change appearance through mirror on: 2007 November 10, 21:40:13
Bodyshop is quite decent, but it only deletes files from Bodyshop catalog, not from the entire game.
It really doesn't serve my needs.

I've tried Clean Installer too, but you can't delete all files by only looking their texture images - it's a bit tricky to guess what you're deleting when all you see is an image filled with grey color.  Wink For example some accessories have that kind of texture image.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Game crashing when trying to change appearance through mirror on: 2007 November 10, 21:24:13
Thank you all for so many good advices!  Smiley

Well, I have subfolders in my downloads, but not that testing folder.
Gotta start using that too!

I sure hope that someone could scrape up a little program, which allows you to view bodyshop-content and delete the files you don't want to keep.
Because, whenever I would want to delete something, it's not deletable in CAS or I can't find it amongst all my files because almost all creators name their packages like "34346434djl688564fldf_eyes". Very descriptive naming, D'OH!
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Game crashing when trying to change appearance through mirror on: 2007 November 10, 13:35:51
Well, I just never seem to get the chance to play without crashes..  Cry

Okay, so my game is crashing whenever I try to change sim's appearance through mirror.
First it loads and loads forever, but then it crashes.

There's no specific reason in the error-box that appears on the screen, it just simply states that there's been an error and the program will shut down.

Could this all just be due to the amount of my appearance-related custom content or could it be something else? What are the odds?
Has anyone had the same problem and what did you do? Just started to eliminate files from the downloads-folder?

And finally, the last question;
IF the only solution to my problem is to reduce the file amount of make-up and hair etc., does anyone know a good technique to do that? I mean, of course we have Bodyshop, but it doesn't delete files from the game, and some items are not deletable in CAS, so... Awwww, my head is such a mess with this!
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / How can I empty the family wardrobes? on: 2007 November 08, 10:53:41
Here again, with a new question - as you can see from the title.  Wink

So, here goes - how can I empty my sim-family wardrobes from all that junk that's there by default?

Thanks for helping me again!
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The safest way to delete a sim from game? on: 2007 November 08, 10:42:17
BTW, just crossed my mind - can I use the non-compatible SimPE in the process of deleting the sim?

I happen to have BV and as far as I know, the latest SimPE isn't compatible with BV, am I right?
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Question about clothing racks.. on: 2007 October 28, 23:09:21
Though I deeply resist those gorilla suits, I agree with ZephyrZodiac.

Of course Maxis had to develope a game that would satisfy both genders and all age groups - including little ones.  Smiley
Still I think it wouldn't be a bad thing at all, if someone talented (not me either) could make alternatives for those who want them.

And I'm sorry about having hard time to understand players who want to include fantasy characters in their game.
Not that it is a crime - I'm just over-realistic.  Cheesy

P.S -> I have thought about the bridal-store-thingy too and I think it would be great idea!
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Question about clothing racks.. on: 2007 October 28, 16:52:32
That's right!

Some talented creator should take that to his/her next project. (Like Tiggerypum from MTS2)

Instead, many newbies are making awful recolors of them, and the worst of all things is that their recolors are in all bright shades of rainbow!  Shocked

And preferrably all colours are in the same outfit.
