1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: "N001_User307.1"...? WTF? on: 2008 July 14, 14:02:15
This whole discussion prompted me to check my own folders and found several .bak files of users.  Is that normal, is that ok?
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / package.package.package??? What does this mean? on: 2008 June 27, 13:55:56
I wonder if anyone knows... Why do some packages have two or more .package extensions on the end of their file name?  Is this a problem?  should I change their names to have only one?  Or should I ignore them?
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: WOW EA admits to a cock up on: 2008 April 10, 14:37:26
All I can say is thank God I didn't buy this EP.  I was waiting to see how fucked up it was and now I am glad I didn't do it!  I'm stopping at BV and EA be damned!
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Overriding Business-related wants on a Home Lot--Possible? on: 2008 April 07, 17:37:53
I think its a problem with hacks.  I have many home businesses and don't get that problem.  Occaisionaly one of the kids gets a "hire someone" want but it goes away pretty quickly.  But i never get that many.  i think you should remove the hacks and try again...  Hope that helps a little.

for what it's worth, I haven't installed FT yet.  After reading through all the fuckups, I'm never installing it.  It sounds like the benefits are far out-weighed by the problems.   I have everything up to BV, and have had so many problems since bv that I can't go through it again.

gee, sounds just like RL, the feds got it... probably for back taxes.
I have a hack, mikes transfer vase or something like that, and I think you can transfer all the old boy's things with it to a younger sim before he croaks.  Might head off the problem in the future.  The name of the file is Mike_1102_TransferInventoryVase.package - I think I got it at MTS2.  (Not 100% sure)  Good luck

7  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Crashing Family on: 2008 March 25, 13:27:34
I have the same problem.... it started with one family, they kept crashing at the same action everytime I loaded the lot.  Each time the lot loaded fine then when I sent the male to do an action, it crashed.."application has crashed will now terminate" I tried the same family and the same action several times and always the same thing.  I checked the error logs and found that it was an access violation.  Got tired of it and tried moving them to a different lot and was able to play them fine for hours...  great, problem solved... NOPE.  It started happening with a different family.  Today, if I get time, I'm taking all custom content out and trying the family again.  I think its a corrupt file too.  Will keep you updated.  Good luck and let me know if you find the bad file too.

I think I saw some neat western wear at All about Style http://www.all-about-style.com/themes_prairie.html Give it a shot!

I'm getting a real kick out of the idea of medieval sims dressed in wild west wear.

"Dayum, Marshall.  Thet thar knight varmint done stole mah, cows!"
"Well, ol' timer, ah guess we'll have to give 'im a fair trial, followed by a first class hangin'.  Ain't bin nothin' like that in merrie old England since the prince killed Dangerous Dalton."

All about Style does have medieval wear as well.

I meant for the western theme... Wink

So far I've been through MTS2 and All About Style in search for period clothing - and some of the stuff I've picked up is stretching it a bit. Can anybody else think of places for appropriate clothing - especially male elders and children. Appropriate excercise wear would be a help too. At the moment I've got them all jogging in their bathers (which is marginly preferable to jogging in your undies, but only just).
