Sending your sims to someone else's game would be fun if it were for assassinations rather than gigs.

This expansion pack will apparently allow audiences to throw items ranging from garbage to roses at performing Sims.  Perhaps there may be a way to mod grenades and Molotov cocktails into that mix?

Since SimCity: Societies was a glaring disappointment, a lot of SimCity 4 players have been hanging their hopes on Cities XL, a game currently in development by Monte Cristo, the same company who produced City Life.

Had EA made a Superstar expansion pack for The Sims 2, the only reason I'd get it would be for the joy of clicking "Smite {annoying celebrity}" on the batbox.

The L&P for OFB stated that playable Sims would only spend 10% of available family funds, so as not to bankrupt themselves. It was also stated that purchased items could be deleted from inventories for a full refund (a myth which has been debunked). With a ticket machine, there is no physical product to return, which may be EA's rationale for not actually charging playables. It could be worse: imagine a scenario where Sims did stay in a ticket machine venue, spending 10% of available funds for each session. After several sessions with ticket machine lots, one could end up visiting a playable lot where the family funds had dropped to nine Simoleons (nine being the first integer not wholly divisible by ten or easily rounded in the game).

This is what I get for not paying attention to what site uses what terms for it.  Tongue

This site uses the accurate term for it, which is what should be used at every site, no matter what the so-called "community consensus" is on how to name it. Just because a majority may believe it, does not mean it becomes accurate, true or correct.

7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Teen Prom -- what hacks can make this happen? on: 2007 December 01, 01:35:46
Surely there is a way to hack out formal and swim parties? When one throws a wedding party, the guests show up in formal wear, so would it really be a stretch to hack the pie menu to throw a party which will make them show up in swimwear (or even their underwear - a sexy party)? The problem though, would still be with making the little pixels behave appropriately. The locked doors from OFB were great, as I could make the kitchen off-limits from the thieving, fridge-raiding little bastards. I, for one, have never been to a party where it was deemed appropriate to go into the host's kitchen and help myself to the contents of his or her refridgerator.  Still, unplayable Sims on free will act like...well, unfocused imbeciles.  Roll Eyes

I find it interesting that even after such a fiasco, the CEO's still don't care enough to investigate themselves, but still keep 'relying' on others to inform them. Surely a PR disaster such as this one deserves a little more attention. I guess they are too (self) important to bother with the 'little' people, such as their paying customers.

An interesting thing happens once one's salary reaches a certain level: one can afford not to care anymore.  Roll Eyes
