To be fair, comparison to genitalia is not really sexist, as comparison to male genitalia does not produce a positive image either.

Isn't that nice?  Now how about going away and pretending to fix problems?  Fucking dickless wonder.

Is there a mod that allows for pleading with the Grim Reaper?
Keeping a death flower in the inventory....

Okay.  I'll be sure to have that happen next time.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2010 November 18, 20:50:45
In "The Sims 3" you can make the dead playable as "ghosts" and you can search for "ambrosia". Take the quotet terms and try a search engine, this one time not google! You need to broden your horizon:

http://www.exalead.com/search/

Your result, if you followed my hints should look like this:

http://www.exalead.com/search/web/results/?q=sims3+ambrosia+ghost

Try to find the answer to your question in pauls vault9 by reading.

Edit: or try it here...

Learn to read jackass!  I don't want the ghost to be playable, and I don't give a flying fuck about "ambrosia."  I want to know if there is something that will prevent my playable Sims from dying in the first place.

Is there a mod that allows for pleading with the Grim Reaper?  One of my Sims recently died in a fire (unfortunately his wife wasn't able to save him) and I wasn't ready for him to die yet.  Yes, I know, I shouldn't have saved when he died.  I checked over at MST and found nothing.  I checked here and nothing came up.  I just find it frustrating that I wasn't able to have his wife plead with the Reaper to bring him back.

Have you tried running the game with no CC whatsoever?
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 July 28, 23:11:36
Whenever you switch active families, all the current wants and wishes and whatnot of the current family are reset.  The game tells you this when you go to change families, and asks you if this is okay.  You then have to click the "YA THIS IS OKAY I WANT YOU TO RESET EVERYTHING" button before it'll change active families.

Fuck!  I was hoping it was another EAsshole problem.  Oh well.  I just didn't want to have to start over after all that time I spent getting even that far.  Damn!
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 July 28, 22:53:57
I haven't seen this posted yet so here I go:

The game isn't showing the correct number of cases solved for my Investigator Sim.  Just this morning, it showed 18/35 cases solved, which was correct at the time.  I fired up the game again this afternoon, this time choosing a completely different family to play for a while and give her a break.  When I switched back to the Investigator family, the number of cases solved was 0/35.  What has caused this?  Was it because I switched to another family and then back to the original one?  The game is showing the correct job level (10), but I haven't been able to figure out what the goddamn hell is going on.

FYI:  I have no mods whatsoever, or any custom content, including Store stuff so it's not a conflict.  Can this be fixed?

EDIT:  I just tried Google.  Absolutely nothing!
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Still planing with TS2 anyone ? on: 2010 June 07, 13:10:30
My tolerance level must be really high today.  So I'm going to make a confession.  I DID try TS3.  Once, a few months ago.  I arred it, used a no-CD crack (I didn't feel like using the so-called "Awesome Mod"), but it just turned out to be a complete waste of disk space.  I didn't like the plastic skin, the fact that I couldn't see in the "rabbitholes," and just didn't like the overall look.  So I uninstalled and deleted the whole file.  World Adventures and High-End Loft Stuff do not interest me at all.  And neither does Ambitions.  I just really don't understand the appeal.  I'm not a big PC gamer to begin with, so maybe it's just that.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Still planing with TS2 anyone ? on: 2010 June 05, 10:09:08
i think to TS3... I feel ... betrayed Sad

There's a fucking shift key on your keyboard for a reason jerkass!  Fucking use it!

But for the topic at hand, I have never, ever, ever, played Sims 3.  Never bought it, or arred it.  Don't want to, and never will.  The expansion packs are shit.  Everything about the game is shit.  It's just a gigantic, steaming pile of shit.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Apocalypse! How many are left? on: 2009 July 07, 23:09:43
I am definitely sticking with The Sims 2.  I have no desire whatsoever to have Sims 3. After reading all of the threads, there is no way in HELL I would EVER have that bloated piece of shit on my computer.  The gameplay looks horrible, all the Sims look like they need Midol to get rid of the bloating, and it just over all looks like shit.  Until there is a way to not have have those larded up, plastic surgery nightmares from fucking up my game, then, and only then, will I being considering it.  Right now, I'd rather be beating with a lead pipe.

EDIT: Is there any reason whatsoever I should even bother with The Sims 3?  I just need to know if it's remotely worth having since I need to download a separate mod just to fix the majority of the fuckups EAsshole always makes.  FYI, I do have several mods from MATY.  It's the only way I can play my Sims 2 game.
11  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / TSData/Sys folder corrupt for Mansion & Garden Stuff on: 2009 May 02, 19:21:54
I don't know how the hell this happened, but for some fucking reason, my Sys folder for Mansion and Garden Stuff is corrupt.  Every time I click on the icon to start the game (I don't use the launcher, by the way. I use the no-CD crack which I did replace to try to fix the problem), I get "I:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff\TSData\Sys is corrupt and unreadable" and the whole thing crashes.  When I move my mouse over the folder, it says that it's empty.  I can't access it all to see what the hell is going on.

This is an ARRRed copy.  Should I reinstall?  I know it's not my Downloads folder causing it.  I moved it to the desktop and still got the same message.  I tried searching on this site (got nothing) and even tried Google and got nowhere.  What the hell is going on and how do I fix it?

EDIT:  Apparently I had to do a completely uninstall and reinstall of everything, since just uninstalling Mansion and Garden Stuff did nothing to fix the problem.  So far, everything seems to be working fine.  Thanks a helluva lot EAsshole!!

Got it!
13  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Sim Won't Go to Work Unless There is a Nanny on: 2009 January 03, 00:59:56
Here is my problem:

Chester Gieke will not go to work unless there is a Nanny present to watch the kids; even though his wife is CLEARLY at home!!  His wife will be at home and in no danger of going to work at the same time as him or even doing that same day.  However, I keep getting the "I know I have other responsibilities" bullshit dialog box (or whatever the fuck you call it) every time he has to go to work.

How do I make this stop?  I am getting really fucking tired of having to hire a stupid Nanny just so Chester can go to work.  I have tried searching on this site.  Nothing came up.  I have tried MTS2 and have gotten nothing whatsoever.  I don't know how to fix this at all!

Please help me!

Dearie, dearie, me.

You do know, Laura/JerseyGirlBunchOfOs, that if he has a bunch of psycho exes it's because he;

a) Talks smack about exes, one of which you will be one day
b) Attracts/is attracted to that kind of woman/girl because he either is into that or like that himself, or both
c) All of the above

I don't think so pal.  And don't try that on me again.

17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: WOW EA admits to a cock up on: 2008 April 04, 23:19:31
Just seen on the official site under Freetime that EA have admitted to a cock up

If your sim has sewn the gold badge custom clothes it changes the skins file in game and the patch cannot install because of that and henceforth the message to uninstall and reinstall freetime when patching

Obviously they didnt test the patch installation but is this a first by them to admit fricking it up

I'm not shocked that the so-called "patch" fucked something up.  However, how many other things has that usless piece of crap screwed up?  (This is making me glad I didn't buy FreeTime).

18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: FreeTime Patch Released on: 2008 April 04, 23:16:48
I say it's time to take bets to see how long it will be before EAsshole has to release another patch to fix what that one breaks.
*Has* to release a patch?
Or actually *does*?

Those could be two different moments in time.

I'm going with "has to".  From what I've been reading, those jerks couldn't properly program a game of Solitaire!

I'm saying at least a month for now.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: EA/Maxis has found the Nvidia problem! on: 2008 March 15, 23:25:53
We all know the chances of that happening are slim to none!   Roll Eyes
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: EA/Maxis has found the Nvidia problem! on: 2008 March 15, 22:45:38
Holy crap!  Even if I did have this problem, turning my anti-virus off would be the very last thing I would ever do!  I feel so sorry for all of you who are experiencing this problem and I really hope you get an actual solution instead of the insane amount of bullshit that's been given to you from those EAssholes.  Turning off anti-virus programs is EAsshole's solution to very problem!  When are those jerkoffs going to realizse that it doesn't work and will actually do something about this memory leak?
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Installing on an external harddrive on: 2007 November 26, 22:56:01
I'm doing this just to save space on my regular computer.  But I won't be installing H&M.  I just can't take that risk.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Installing on an external harddrive on: 2007 November 25, 22:31:31
I am definitely skipping H&M Fashion Stuff.  I just can't take that risk.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Installing on an external harddrive on: 2007 November 25, 22:24:14
I'm talking about installing the whole game onto the external harddrive.  I am completely bypassing drive C.

Laura
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Installing on an external harddrive on: 2007 November 25, 19:52:57
I have some questions:

1.  Can you install The Sims 2 games on an external hard drive?
2.  If I install H&M Fashion Stuff, will I get SecuROM?  Is there a possibility it will leak to my standard hard drive?
3.  If I will get SecuROM, can I just run it using the crack and Y.A.S.U instead?

Thank you!

Laura
