TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Seasons Impressions?

The soaked moodlet annoys me to no end as my sims constantly choose to do outside activities when it is raining (which as some have said above, happens 99% of the time), and then they are dripping water for hours after. I wish they were a bit smarter about the weather because the majority of the time they seem oblivious to it.

Ok I am enjoying it a bit more now that I am getting into other seasons. I put them down to three each and skipped summer because I had enough of that. However it started with three days left of summer anyway. I am in Fall now and the festival is cute. Weird thing happened though- my sim went into the haunted house and came out a fully floating ghost. I sent her back in and she stayed like that. A trip to the face painting tent fixed her though. No idea what that was about.
This is also my first full round playing Supernatural as well and I had about three zombies spawn at the side of my sim's house on the full moon night. Is that normal?

I was just playing it a few minutes ago when it froze and had my computer running like crazy. The game in general has my computer running harder and it takes awhile to load. I have a quad core and 8 gigs of ram so I am surprised at how hard it is hitting my system. As far as the actual game itself, I haven't really seen much difference since it starts with summer as the season and the day was sunny. I was just checking out the festival park when the game froze and it looked pretty cool set up for summer activities. I still feel like I am going to default to the Sims 2 though for some reason, this game is just missing something for me.

Question- is it ok that I just installed this patch over a 1.38 patch? I never did 1.39 and didn't realize that until the patching process was underway. The whole time the cancel button was grayed out and it seemed to update fine. Does it just install whatever I missed out on in 1.39? Because did that bring diving boards finally? That would suck a bit if I missed out on that should have been base game item.

About 80% of my time was patching and installing all the crap they keep putting out for this game. I turn the game on and play for about 20 minutes before I get annoyed with it and switch over to Sims 2. My damn sim kids won't go to bed now without someone reading them a story even if it means that they ask a complete stranger to do it. And I know it has been beaten to death, but the rabbit holes annoy me to no end. I love my little diners, bars, and other shops in Sims 2. Sims 3 makes you work too hard to do simple things.

I guess this is mainly an annoyance but an amusing one. I took my celebrity sim downtown to get a free drink and he was served by this: I am assuming the game randomly creates the service people, but I think both parts of this outfit should not be in the pool.

If you are going to use AM, I wouldn't use the crappy no-cd hacks. They make it a lot harder to successfully update your game and could cause unintended problems. AM has a no-cd hack which doesn't require replacing system files, so it is much better.
I'd also reinstall the entire game since you don't know what file got fucked up and is causing the problem. Simply reinstalling ambitions might fix it, but it is better to do it right than do it half ass and still have your problem.
Yeah, I might go back to just the regular game and not the no-dvd crack. I think I got it back in the day to hold me over until awesomemod was updated for a new patch or expansion pack. If it was me, I would do everything. You could just try AMB if you want, and check. Before you do, make sure you check your framework, either method, and remember how it goes, that way you don't forget and come back whining that you can't get the mods to work anymore.
Unfortunately, this is not my first go with having to uninstall and reinstall due to getting a new computer so I don't think I will be around here bothering you to help me with that. I have done it at least twice before and I don't really get why everyone thinks it is so hard. Thank you both for your help, between the patches and the store content, this game is really starting to become not worth my time! I feel like I spend more time prepping it then actually playing it!

I hardly think I was whining but whatever. I agreed that I thought it wasn't awesomemod because I searched those forums and saw nothing but I took it out anyway. I have no CC and no other mods to remove (I have a no-dvd crack but I can't take that out obviously or I can't even start the game. I did download a fresh one however), and I still have the issue. I am assuming that something got messed up at some point between the last time I played the game and this time. This isn't a huge deal as I barely play the game anymore, I just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue too but it seems like it is rare. It seems strange that I lost items that actually come with the game but oh well. I am off this week so I can just try doing a fresh install. Do you think I need to reinstall each game or just reinstall ambitions? The rest of them are working fine and as far as I can tell, the objects are all present in the game.

I noticed it in my only save and deleted that save because it wasn't that important to me. The picture I posted was from a new town and new game. I have not taken awesomemod out because once it is in, isn't it not supposed to be taken out?

That is true, I scoured the bug report thread and didn't see anything that seemed similar. I would assume it is not a patch installation error because after finding and replacing the file it was having trouble with, it went through just fine. The game is totally playable minus the objects missing but I don't know if it is just building up to a big disaster in the future.

Ok, that makes sense because I also installed the latest awesomemod before starting the game. Does your family info look like mine in the picture when you click on it? I also had trouble installing the ambitions patch. It was getting stuck on the tshost.dll file, but I just moved the fresh one from my torrent and then it worked. I hope it is just awesomemod then because that would be a lot easier then having to reinstall everything!

Ok, I don't have any idea what I did but, I went to play my saved game and the house I had built with a trampoline loaded, informed me that I am missing objects and they had to be replaced. I wasn't sure what the objects were until I saw my once blonde sim (now brown) standing in front of a telescope that I swear used to be a trampoline. I thought maybe the trampoline and the hair were store objects and that I fucked something up, but alas they should be part of the game. What do I do now? Reinstall everything all over again? Or is there an easier option? This is why I play the sims 2 more often--less work! Also, this is what all my family's info looks like in the game:

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / high end stuff keygen
|

I have searched everywhere for a keygen for High End Stuff and every website requires a membership. I have the whole torrent but the crack is missing and as I had to just reinstall everything due to one of the patches not working, I need a keygen. So if anyone is feeling a tad bit generous today, that would be greatly appreciated. I am just going to continue looking while I wait.

Thank you both for replying, I didn't know if anyone still kept up with this thread these days! Nalia, I did remember to patch, almost forgot and then remembered at the last minute! Ritaxis, this isn't my first go at getting rid of secuROM, I had done it on my old computer so I am aware of the steps I need to take. I downloaded secubegone from the first post here and that couldn't find anything, plus I searched the registry for all of the files that could possibly be connected and didn't find anything. I also have windows 7 if that makes any difference. I never used the launcher or the original .exe because after I finished installing them all, I just applied the crack and played it directly from there. I am keeping my eye out and checking my registry often, but I still haven't come by anything at all. I will try rebooting after checking show hidden files though and see what happens.
Edit: Still didn't find anything with hidden files shown and know extensions unchecked. The only thing that did was slow down my computer load time significantly.

Dumb question here, and I don't even know if anyone comes by here anymore but, I just got a new computer and reinstalled the Sims 2. I installed each ep and sp one right after another without playing the game first. I then got a no-cd crack for M&G stuff and loaded the game using that. I assumed I would have secuROM, but none of the searches are turning anything up. Is this because I didn't launch the game using the regular .exe? Or should I expect to be finding something? Thanks if anyone stumbles across this!

I have honestly almost given up on the Sims 3. It really is more work than play, especially for someone who won't pay for all of EA's shit. Whether it is reinstalling everything because the new patch jacks something up, or jumping through hoops over and over again to get custom content to work, I just don't feel like it anymore. EA seems paranoid and desperate now and it's getting old. When I get ready to play a game these days, which has been rare, it is usually the Sims 2. Much less work there.
I really might wait to deal with all of this after it has been out for years and everything is dealt with by the modders and whatnot. I don't feel like I am missing out on all that much anyways.

I know how many types of fish there are, the want only requires 13.
I actually just found the solution on the sims 3 forums. I don't even think to look there anymore, and the answer was there! I had put all of the fishbowls in the sim's inventory and apparently after I take them back out I have to scoop each one out and put it back in.

I searched for this issue and haven't come across anything so hopefully this hasn't been discussed. My sim has the perfect aquarium want, and I have gotten 14 different and perfect fish. When I put them all in fishbowls however, the want does not fulfill. Am I not doing something? Do the minnow and anchovy fish count? I am getting pretty annoyed so any help would be appreciated.
