Where in my original message was the word "help" mentioned, and where did I mention that I didn't use that fancy dancy new fangled "search box" magicmabob?

Assuming things is naughty.

I said I can't read through 16 pages of posts because it's hard on my eyes.

Eye strain != laziness..

Tsk.. tsk..

I'm merely saying.. "hey.. this bed of leaves thing.. it no worky.. worky with TJ's Smart Beds as far as I can tell.. you may want to avoid it"..

Because as far as the search results indicated, no one has said that in this thread yet.

2  Awesomeware / Playsets & Toys / Re: Salvaged Stories Crap on: 2010 July 14, 06:02:25
I used your so called "search" box and didn't find any hits on "smart Beds" in this specific thread.

But thanks for bringing this new fangled message board option to my attention, never heard of it before.
3  Awesomeware / Playsets & Toys / Re: Salvaged Stories Crap on: 2010 July 14, 04:03:17
Someone may have noticed this potential conflict, but trying to read through 16 pages of posts started heading in the direction in which I'd need to pop some excedrin.

The Leaf Pile Bed seems to conflict with TJ's Smart Bed mod.

I say "seems to" because I tested it with the the mod and it caused a "too many iteration" error, and tried it without the mod and the issue went away.

Seems 100% to me but well.. yeah..

I hope there is a way.  I mean I realize the plant, vampire, and werewolf skins are just overlays, but the zombie one isn't.. so it should be possible.. somehow.
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Werewolf Conversion Type Thingamabob.. on: 2009 October 07, 19:40:46
So like, Chris Hatch over at Back Alley took some really cool lycan skin and made it shower proof..

http://www.backalleysims.com/adult_forums/showthread.php?t=2909

But it's just a skin, it isn't the Maxis werewolf.

But here's what I'm curious about is if it would possible to have the werewolves in the Sims 2 use the skin above when they turn into werewolves, rather than the one they use currently?  I'm not looking for anyone to do it for me, but if anyone has an idea if it can be done and give me a hint or two, that would rock. Nah..

Its everytime you download inteen, god kills a fetus..

Which is really for the best..

Thanks to Madcat, I was able to fix the mod.

I changed the check age thing from a 1 to a 0, as Madcat recommended.

The hack works flawlessly now, the adults can savage the teens without an issue.

I didn't try teen to adult, but it should be fine.

Anywho the zip is attached to this post.

This lovely mod seems to not work with Inteen for AL.

There's just no "savage" when an adult werewolf tries to hunt down a teen, and I tried a number of things.  I tried loading it before and after inteen, no go.  I also tried alternate relationship levels to see if that would bring it up, no such luck.  There are no errors to report because the option just isn't there.  I informed Madcat on Simbology, since he's the one who updated Inteen.

I'm assuming its inteen causing the vanishing menu item, the mod seemed to work prior to inteen.  Inteen, ACR, and Attack of the Zombies are the only global mods that I'm using.

Ok.. correction..

I posted about this on Simbology and someone said the age check part of the mod is incomplete.  I was told the age check function should pass a literal zero, instead of a literal 1, as the third parameter should enable the function both ways for all sims between teen and elder.

The male sims seem a bit more keen on being naked since FT, for some reason the issue doesn't seem to effect the female sims.

I haven't experienced the fitness issue, all of the sims appear to still be able to gain fitness enthusiasm regardless of what tool they use in order to obtain the enthusiasm..

Capone: A man becomes preeminent, he's expected to have enthusiasms. Enthusiams... What are mine? What draws my admiration? What is that which gives me joy? Baseball! .

Anywho..

Thanks for working on getting this to work on ft, blackwiddow...

Your sims can screw wherever. In the middle of the kitchen, on the floor, different positions. That one is the only one I've found that does that. The creator of it is bad about not listing ep compatibility. It was his couch or something that was causing my BV hammocks to error.

I talked to the dude or dudette behind the mods before, he or she claimed they work on ever ep, this was up until FT.  So he or she does not list ep compatbility because in his or her mind, the mods work regardless of the ep.  They released two updates for the woohoo pack.  One update adds a popup that asks if you want your sim to do it clothed or naked, the other update disallows family members to screw.  As far as I can tell from testing them, neither update resolves the rooting issue some have.  However, it is the only mod at this time that does what it does.  So even if it is buggy at times, if you get a kick out of your sims bending over anyone they want.. its worth it.  Besides, the adult sims will do what you tell them to do, they just become less independant, so they kind of turn into those who vote republican Smiley.

Here's the link to the package if you wanna get it..

Good. Survival of the fittest. That's what you get for not leaving food out.

If you don't leave it out, I'll just steal it from ya Wink...

Anywho..

I took out thefightclub..

Replaced perfectgardens with the new one..

Left in Crammy's Nudie due to the fact that I'm 90% sure it isn't causing the teen/birdwatch issue.

As for xxxsims2 woohoo, that damn thing has had issues prior to FT.  I think it may be nocd crack related since it isn't a conflict with another mod and it was fine prior to using a no cd crack, at least on my end.  The others with the issue who've messaged me or created threads elsewhere haven't mentioned if they are using a no cd crack or not.  I just figured I'd point that out just in case anyone happens across this thread and thinks the issue is FT related.

As for careers, I need to take a few of those out but the problem is, clean installer doesn't break them down to their own category as far as I can tell.

Pfft.. not sure who told you that you're not here to serve me but.. whatever...

The people on the internets are here to entertain and serve me..

Now go get me a soda pop.. wench Wink...

Personal responsibility is sooo 1965..

And thanks jsalemi..

I just went to aestudios and found his new free time director's cut thingee.

So now I just need to hope someone will update crammy's nudie thing.. or not.. it isn't that important of a hack.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 March 03, 13:38:06
You could have easily found out yourself by doing what Kyna suggested, but as I can't find my pointy stick right now:

And you could have easily just mentioned which two hacks in your first response.  Wink

Besides it isn't easy find the sites where each hack came from originally.

The wise gamer plays the game and has fun...

But he should start keeping notes I guess Wink...

13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 March 03, 11:05:06
Which two?

I removed the sofa hack, I wasn't using it anyways.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 March 03, 08:53:09
I installed free time tonight..

I didn't take out all of my hacks though because I'm mental.

I took out inteeniator because I know that one stops working each time a new expansion comes out.

I left in...

Antiredundancy
no-jealousy2
Perfect Gardens
Thomas Riordan's Naked Massage
Crammyboys naked thingee.. I got the one that was updated for BV..
XXXsims2 woohoo
sofa-hack1h

Do I need antiredundancy still?  I left it in after I installed the BV patch, the patch supposedly fixed that issue didn't it?

I tested the game for about an hour, so I have awhile to go before I can say I totally tested it.

So far one bug I found is kind of odd..

Adults can birdwatch, they get out their ol binoculars and they go do their thing.  The teens on the other hand, they go off to birdwatch but then they never bust out their binoculars, they just stand there like idiots.  I maxed out their motives.. still no go.. boosted their aspiration.. still no go.  The hacks I did leave aren't teen specific, so one would think if it was one of the hacks it would affect the adults as well.  So I can't figure this one out, they are on a vacation lot though.  I'll see if the bug sticks with them when they return home.

The other bug, which may not be a bug, the sewing machine.  One of the teens has like 3 or 4 dots filled out on her arts and crafts thing from sewing, but she can still only sew pot holders.  Is that the only thing they can sew?  Or is something screwed up there as well?  Well she can rebuild a car fine.. so thats cool.

16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2007 October 12, 08:04:17
I spell it like 5 different ways, I have no idea why, I just do.

And the kitten killer?

My mind is making me think that's because it either kills the pets in the game or has some kind of deviant meaning..

And someone, maybe you, earlier said it was made fun of here.  Why is it made fun of?  I always found it to be a rather complex hack that does quite a bit.  For one, it adds a very nice level of realism to the game.  And it's the best solution that I know of to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy in the game.  The old days, I used to use the tombstone to speed up the pregnancy, then I aged the sim.. then I killed the sim.  But with Inteen.. "abort.. abort"..
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2007 October 12, 07:33:09
I have no idea where I read that at, I just remember reading something about not supporting nocd cracks since they're not legit.

But it's good to know Inteeniator won't need the patch.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2007 October 12, 06:47:34
If you downloaded Bon Voyage from a torrent site and followed the torrent instructions, chances are you don't have securom on your system.  If you downloaded Bon Voyage from EA, I believe they use a different form of protection, but don't quote me on that.  However, if you bought the game from the store and installed it, and played it from the cd.. you should have securom on your system.

I'm trying to create a faq about securom 7, how it affects the game.. and the newer securom 7.

I went over to a few other sims sites.. far to many are downloading the patch..

Not good..
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2007 October 12, 06:20:14
I had this old tandy thing, I won't call it a computer even though Radio Shack called it one.

It was like a keyboard that hooked up to the tv and I could write programs on but in order to back anything up, I had to use casstte tapes.  So I got the hookups for my cassette recorder, supposedly that's all I needed and this tandy thing supposedly stored the data on tapes.  Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.  I also had one game cartidge for it, some mud like game.. sigh..

I don't miss that thing..

But at the very least it was what helped me learn how to type.

Apple IIE was what I played Oregon's Trail on when I was in 5th grade I think.. I swore it was IIC, there was a IIC right?

Oregon's Trail.. that was one fine ass game...

Oh the topic.. hrmm..

I see why Securom 7 is an issue for sim addicts and not those who play Tomb Raiders newest release..

Anniversary uses an earlier version of 7, I don't believe the earlier version installed uaservice7.exe, if it did I'd have that on my system and I don't. I think the newer version came out around time bioshock did, and 2k went all out to try and prevent that game from being pirated.

So unless you lil addicts can really put maxis on the defensive, the next Sims expansion which is due out in Febuary will be hell since Securom most likely will step things up, I just have a bad feeling they're following in Starforces footsteps.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cleaning up Characters? on: 2007 October 12, 06:04:11
Ok, so killing them is the fastest way to go without an issue then.  The reason I went with delete was because it was less time consuming than spawning rodneys death creator and just offing them that way.  Besides, the solution suggested would mean one would have to take the sims from the sims bin and put them back on a lot in order to access that menu, so it would be less time consuming just to kill them off right away then move them to the bin then move them back and delete them and then open simpe and play with numbers.

As for deleting default neighborhoods..

That shouldn't affect newly created ones, correct?

21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2007 October 12, 06:02:46
Well I'm glad to see others here who are 30+.

Now I know I'm not the only social retard Wink..

I got into the Sims for all the wrong reasons..

I went to go buy Alice I think and my girlfriend at the time saw the Sims on the shelf.  She had to have it and well, I encourage girls to be gamers.. there's nothing hotter than a cute girl who loves games.  So eventually I got into it myself.. not that I'm a hot gaming chick, but maybe one day.. well probably not.. I like my boy bits.

I never played Sim City though, I watched someone play once.  I was to into fighting games a that point.

So ok, judging by this age thing, I see why there's no kiddie gloves being used on this board.

So ok.. nothing is taken to seriously here and quite a few are older..

Good.. good.. very good..

Oh and I'm 34..

And I'll check out the faq..
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cleaning up Characters? on: 2007 October 12, 05:37:29
And that's exactly what happened the last time I moved familes to a new neighborhood.  In the past every time I reformatted the pc, which I used to do seasonly just to clean things up, I didn't back up my saved games.  Because I went that route I never ran into any issues because they didn't have time to pop up.  But lately since I'm using a bigger drive and it takes forever to reformat, I've been playing the same neighborhood for a few months.  So when I moved them this time, I had the issue.

So that all makes sense.

What doesn't make sense is this sims bin thing..

Now so far with this new neighborhood, the only sims I deleted were the ones that were in the bin by default.  Those sims hadn't met my newly created sims yet so there should be no memories.  However, in the old days to get rid of a sim I'd move them out and then delete them from the bin.  So this is a no no?  So the only way to get rid of a sim without dealing a possible bfbvfs is to kill them?

23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2007 October 12, 05:22:00
Was that you in Wargames?

Cool.. I always wanted to know.. why did you marry Sarah Jessica Parker?  I mean that chicks got a nose on her.. I mean christ... I think skate off that thing.

I think anyone who even remembers windows 3.1 is literate in my book.  But with the being said, you of all people should know that this wonderful world that Al Gore created... is loaded with newbs who still think shutting off their monitor is the same thing as rebooting.  It has only gotten worse since Myspace, Myspace has really pulled the newbs into world of the net.  I cater to them only because a lot of them are cute Wink.  Ok, seriously.. I care.. sniff.. not sure why but I do.  So I like to lay things out as very basic as possible regardless if they can google and find the info somewhere else.  I like making things easy for people, well not to easy unless they're really cute..  but that's besides the point.

So Pescado is the resident geek?

Curious.. I'll have to check out this Bowels thing..

Yup.. total geek.  Anyone who can sit there and pick apart every issue with Simpe is a geek.

Maybe that's why there's not a new one yet, maybe Pescado made them cry.

Anywho, not only have you proved your literacy.. hoorah.. hoorah.. you got a few years on me.  I was an apple boy because the school only had apples at that point and my parents figured home computers would be obsolete in a few years.  So when I finally got my pc, they were up to a whopping 300 megs and windows 3.1.  I stuck to dos primarily because I was into bbs's and Telemate was my favorite program.

So whys an old fart like you playing the Sims?  My excuse is that I'm troubled and have a lot of inner demons that prevent from being well.. normal.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2007 October 12, 04:21:36
Oh I don't expect people to be nice, I was merely explaining to you why I posted the words "bad advice".

This is how you offer help..

http://www.deviancy.ookiespookie.com/doom/

Same thing really.. just has a small disclaimer..

And we'll see about the extremely experienced literate thing..

I'm still new on this lovely board, so we'll see about that.  So far I just see a lot of simmers who know their way around the game.  That isn't exactly a pc guru, it's just a sim addict.  But it would be nice to finally find a Sims community where the members didn't come off like they were formerly on ABC's the View or born with autism.  So I'm feeling somewhat optimistic Smiley.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cleaning up Characters? on: 2007 October 12, 02:56:16
In earlier expansions of the sims it was possible to move families to a new neighborhood, I always ran the game with the developer mode on (boolprop) and I never had an error.  However, after I installed Bon Voyage, I started getting issues doing that, data missing types of issues, which resulted in one huge dead neighborhood.  So it is an issue,  which is lame but well, it's maxis and just because the game allows you to do it, doesn't mean you can do it heh.

As for the sims bin..

Ever since got the Sims 2.. I've deleted all three default neighborhoods and created my own neighborhood.  I just prefer going that route, I don't like using any of the default sims or the houses for that matter.  So yeah, I delete most of the familes from the sims bin as well, no issues there.  But after reading this thread, I don't think I'll do that anymore.

I'm still moody about the corrupted neighborhood.. but it's always nice to do a little spring cleaning.. right?
