1  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Hack Directory - All Hacks on: 2008 October 28, 02:22:44
In that last yellowpee zip, the yellowpeeobject is not included.  Does that mean it's obsolete?
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Has the clothing tool changed, or is it AL?? on: 2008 September 19, 14:56:57
I like it the way it is now, the new way.  It's free, good for townies.  Why should my sims have to pay for townies' wardrobe?
3  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Hack Descriptions on: 2008 September 13, 22:41:10
What about descriptions for hacks in the Test folder.  Are they to be found anywhere at all?
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Zapped apartment townies stay gone forever! on: 2008 September 08, 17:32:08
If I could just clarify this please... So if I use Inge's teleporter, zapping the unplayables will delete them permanently from the game or is it simply that they don't come back to the lot during that game play?
5  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 September 05, 15:37:19
I'm not sure if this is an AL bork or a bork in my game -- I did a search on it, and didn't see it mentioned.

Belladonna hood -- I played the Cho/Riley building for the first time last night, and saw that no matter which one I played, the other's apartment was still lit, I could see activity in there, and the sims I were currently playing had full interaction menus with the sims in the other apartment. So the game was sort-of treating them like they were all in the same house together, even though only the current apartment's tenants were showing up as playable. I realized this when I had Riley (I played him second) try to call Cho, and she wouldn't show up in his phone book.  Also, I could click on controllers in the other apartment (i.e., lot debugger, TJ's ACR controller) and control the sims in the currently being played apartment.

Aaaccck, this drove me crazy last week!  I played these 2 families first and I thought this was the norm.  So when I finally moved in another family in the same building, I was stunned to see those two families' apartments being dark.  And I lost a lot of precious playing time testing and retesting this scenario until I came to the conclusion that Cho & Riley were special.  So, yeah, they're borked.  Although it's a nice bork -- I like seeing what the other inhabitants are up to.
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Urgh; AL townies breeding like rats! on: 2008 September 04, 15:35:20
Just put some of your other townies into one or more of the social group families.  I think 0.71.13 is probably ok for doing that.
I'm about to try this because I'm getting sick of defuglying these social townies.  Is it just a matter of adding sims (regular townies) in the right social family?  I came across Trif's family instance #s for the different social groups.  And then these refamilized townies will have the proper greetings and tell-stories and such?

My fertility bed shows the blue "bedding" (missing image) in the buy catalogue.  I'm assuming I'm the only one with this since no one seems to have reported it.  Any idea how I can fix this or what's causing it?
Also, is it the not-updated-to-FT custom instrument hack that's causing the error message when I buy the guitar?  My sims can't do anything with it once it's bought.

All you people are just too funny!  This is why those that are scared of MATY regulars should just take everything they say with a grain of salt, unless of course, they're saying something helpful.  Those nuggets of wisdom they dole out, those you can trust.  These are experts here after all.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: how do I update radios to free time on: 2008 April 14, 15:15:12

Currently I'm not bothering with either of them, it's not like there is no alternative way to gain Tinkering Enthusiasm.

Quite right, I'm with you on that one.  I'll just have to find another way to get my tinkering urges satisfied... Smiley
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: how do I update radios to free time on: 2008 March 28, 22:47:41
Well, I'll wait patiently for you to figure it out.   Grin  Thank you for all your input regarding FT updates.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: how do I update radios to free time on: 2008 March 27, 22:19:54
I tried this with one of my custom stereos.  All pie menu functions showed up except for "tinker".  Is that what I should expect?  How do I get the tinkering thingie to come up?   Cheesy

Dizzy over at The Laden Swallow has his own pregnancy-wear-any-outfit hack also.  I don't know how it does for teens so I don't make them pregnant in my game but it works great for adults.  I think you have to install 2 files, read his thread.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Abandonated Mods Needing Updates for Free Time on: 2008 March 10, 23:06:12

The ones I'm concerned about are:

MQ_Visitors_Stays_Longer

Dizzy has a nice alternative for this.  The kids leave normal time but he's modifying it to allow kids to stay till 9pm.  It'll be in his next spiral.  I like Dizzy's better than Monique's because when the party is over, the guests leave.

Wait, what's the difference between Argon_LS_pc and the LSRewardComputer?   Huh
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Stupid Question - be gentle on: 2008 February 29, 15:49:55
Forgive me for ambushing the topic but I have a similar question.  Does this mean that all Pescado FT-compatible hacks are updated so they don't interfere with new interactions?  I mean, I know these hacks won't break the game but will they also allow for new interactions?  For example, harderjob.  With the new hobby benefits, some sims can advance in their careers faster and can even plead for their job back if fired.  Will harderjob hack be okay with that?  Or noplagiarism.  With the new ways to make new novels, will noplagiarism allow for them?  And phone hack for that matter -- 3-way calling for popularity sims, is that available?

I hope so because I know JM is THAT awesome but I'm annoying enough that I have to ask.  Whack me with a stick now, JM.
16  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: FFS Lot Debugger is mutated into the small glass vase - DIY package on: 2008 February 04, 22:30:26
Just for the heck of it, I made a patcher so you can avoid having to use SimPE.

To use this, move ffsdebugger.package to wherever you unzip this, then double-click the patch.bat file.

See http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,6992.0.html <-- this thread if you need the source code for the tools.

Ok, so this patcher should work with new versions of ffsdebugger, right?  As long as I have your original patcher files, I can reuse it with a newer ffsdebugger file and my new vase ffsdebugger would carry over all the changes that Pescado made.  Coz, uh, we just got an updated ffsdebugger file from him.   Tongue
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV problems - anyone else noticed these? on: 2008 January 04, 01:48:49
I saw charlatans before I installed the antiredundancy hack, and after I took it out (when I patched), but never during all the weeks I had it installed. I asked El Presidente about it and he said it was coincidental and that it was just because the appearance of the charlatan was rare.  I don't know .... it still seems like an awfully big coincidence to me, but I don't know all the tech stuff.
It wasn't a coincidence on mine.  I always had the antiredundancy since it came out so I never got to see the charlatan... UNTIL I took out the hack.  Now he appears on other community lots, too, not just vacation ones.  The hack may not prevent the charlatan from appearing altogether but it sure makes it very, very difficult to see him.
18  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Fix for the Japanese Gardenlantern from Pets on: 2007 November 09, 01:37:58
I liked the Lantern but got annoyed by the black Glow. Put it in your latest EPs Override Folder. (In My Game its C:\Programme\EA GAMES\Die Sims 2 Gute Reise\TSData\Res\Overrides)

Does TS Stuffeths count?

2) the other reported bug, where using <Interaction> Many (i.e. Spray Many..., Harvest Many..., etc.) doesn't work properly.  I am not quite sure why this happens.  Theoretically, the skill bar should start and stop after completing the singular interaction on one object, and when the next interaction on another object starts, the skill bar should be started again.  Undecided  I will have to look further into this... but, if it isn't necessarily breaking anything (meaning, your sims don't have problems skilling on other objects later on), it will remain a low priority for me.

The Water Many does not work.  The sim stops after watering one plant.  The skill bar shows up fine and no error message was generated.  Fertilize Many and Plant Many were working fine.  Haven't tried Harvest or Spray Many.
20  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Anti-Redundancy *CRITICAL FOR BVp0* on: 2007 October 02, 03:16:07
Is it just me or are all these new posters with n00b questions really just mean people trying to make fun and/or rile up old timers?
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: family lost through the cracks in the game on: 2007 September 25, 21:14:49
I had the same thing happen.  Mine was because I deleted the vacation van while the whole family was getting in the van to go on vacation the second time after they just got back.  That famous bug, you know...  Lesson learned -- do not delete the van, it doesn't reset the lot like it does sims!

Anyway, I teleported each missing sim using another family, moved them in, and moved out to family bin.  The whole kit and kaboodle.  I had to also teleport the dog which got left behind.  After that, the hotel worked again.
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Begging a la Omri Chan on: 2007 September 24, 15:15:29
Woowee, Capt Swooptie to the rescue!!!  And despite what they all say, MATY folks are not all crotchety.  There are still sweet folks like Capt Swooptie.  And all I had to do was ask.  Thanks.  (That's it for the warm fuzzies, I swear.)

I guess my Omri-Chan impression was terrible, now that you pointed it out.  I should have said "Like, oy, OMGz1111101, give me some, give me some.  If you don't, I'll keep, like, whining."

23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Begging a la Omri Chan on: 2007 September 24, 13:57:52
Would an awesome modder be kind enough to supply us a "how-to" to update pre-BV custom computers so we can have the vacation functions?  Or better yet give us the necessary files (BHAV?) so we can swap them on these pre-BV computers?  If anyone has done that on other sites, could you point me to the right direction?  I searched MATY (yes, I know search button is my friend) but didn't come up with anything.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any kind soul who can help.

24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can I alter my custom fridges? on: 2007 April 09, 00:29:00
Thank you very much, Jordi & Hitch!!!  I pushed that thank you button, didn't I, and got an earful.  Well, now all my fridges are OFB- and Season-compliant.  I didn't even realize I didn't have "Make many..." on some of them.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can I alter my custom fridges? on: 2007 April 08, 21:11:09
Are you familiar with SimPE? If so, just add the attached package's content to the custom fridge, overriding the existing pie menus.

Should work for all custom fridges, as long as they do not have modified pie menus.

Okay, I'm the stupid one who's gonna speak up.  How do I add this package?  I'm familiar with simpe but not overly so.  I'm not afraid to mess with it so please hit me with the instructions.  Thanks.
