@ililas:  Don't apologize for your English; you're doing fine.  I love the way you phrase things!  I especially like the "Jesus Chirst of music" part ;-)

I think the OP was talking about the little tunes for finishing a repair job, completing a painting, first kiss, fulfilling a want bla bla. Those don't go away if you shut music off, I think they can only be muted if you mute all the audio.

It's exactly what I'm talking about...  I would prefer not shut down all the audio option because of the radio or the television or maybe the guitar song but if I have to... at last, I will do.  I really cannot support that annoying finishing a repair job music, first kiss etc.. anymore!!

I would like to be able to mortgage to buy a decent house for my Sims  Angry

I'm so tired about the fact that if I want to play without cheating, I have to buy a small and ridiculous ugly house and stupid furnitures and I have to live in this little pitty house for about three generations before THINKING leaving the house for a bigger one...

If I would have the chance to mortgage to buy a beautiful house and decent furniture when I start the game exactly as human do... they go to the bank and make a mortgage and then, buy their house... and... pay after  Grin

I'm sure someone can do a little program or hack here and realize my wish  Grin Grin Grin

Ilias- no freeze or slow?  Cheesy You're SO funny!

But you might want to consider a 10,000 RPM drive, to help with that. They are more expensive, and smaller, but make a huge difference in Sims. The game reads from the hard drive a lot, so the faster drive is worth the cost, to me.

Are you telling me, even if I have the most ultimate computer, I will still have freeze or slow moments in my game???  Shocked Shocked  Geez but when you look at the preview Maxis gave us, you see that there is no freeze, no slow, nothing bad... are they liar?  Shocked Shocked Shocked  I would be surprise about the answer... I have all the add-on too, I'm playing all day long with my Sims... well, the days I don't work.  I cannot say that my game doesn't work fine actually but sometimes its little slow, even when I'm playing on a big lot with a big family.  and sometimes, the game freeze for few seconds but don't crash.

My computer has two years old and when I bought it, it was FOR the Sims 2.  I have two fans on this machine to prevent the highest temperature.  Its really a computer built for my favorite game.

My kids want to play Sims 2 too but I don't want them to touch my computer... nobody touch my computer except me  Grin  So I decide to buy them an other computer for Christmas but I was looking to upgrade my own computer to an other one and gave them mine that I actually have.

The technician talk me about a Quad 64 bits because he said that my machine cannot be boost anymore.  It suppose to be at the top right now  Shocked Shocked Geeze, on what kind of computer Maxis built the game, I really would like to know because they seems to play without any problems ...

My biggest scare is to lose all of my programs if I turn on 64 bits.. like Nero, PhotoShop... I'm really not very familiar with the 32 bits or 64 etc..

13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Is someone can tell me if the game is compatible on a Quad 64bits? on: 2007 October 24, 18:43:59
Actually, my configuration is this :

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHz
Mémoire : 3070 RAM
DirectX 9.0C
Windows Professionnel service pack 2
Carte graphique : ATI Radeon 6333/X1050 Series

I'm looking for an other more powerful computer to play with my Sims.  My game play enough well but sometime little slow and freezing for little seconds.  My technician talk me about a  Quad or Quatro, don't know the real name of the CPU with 64 bits under windows XP.

I need to know before buy this machine if it will be really powerful and if the game is compatible in 64 bits.

I try to make a research but I didn't find nothing about this.  Can you help me please?
14  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: The SC4 Terrain I did so I could have more beach lots on: 2007 October 20, 00:08:36
The big problem with neighboor with beach.... is the water in the basement of a house  Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

I downloaded the Harmony neighborhood who I found really wonderful...but... my houses always have cave(basement) and when the house is on a neighbor who have beach present... then, the house have water in the cave.  Sims doens't care about this but its really not funny

I wil show you one of my houses to let you know what I'm talking about.

I really don't know if there,s a patch to prevent this problem.
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How many character files are "normal" on: 2007 October 14, 19:57:39
I made some test.

I have three computer here so i decided to install the entire game on my office one, just to test how many characters the game put in the folder.

For the neighboor of MontSympa, the first one with the Gothick, don't know in english sorry.  "Plansantview" I guess?

I install ALL the game, means that I put the three University, the three vacance destination etc..

The basic game put 170 characters in the game and 26 lots.

Academy = 242 characters and 84 lots.

Nightlife = 78 characters and 44 lots

OFB = 77 characters and 33 lots

Pets = 67 characters and 0 lots

Seasons = 17 characters and 0 lots

BV = 104 new characters and 39 lots

For a big total of 755 characters and 226 lots.

You're right, I have some little dificulties with my english, I apolozige  Embarrassed

Your soo sweet dear  Cheesy Cheesy  thank you so much for your so beautiful french.

Actually, I found the hack who gave me a wonderful migraine  Angry

Its a hack who gave us the chance to put up to 30 Sims in the same lot.

I took it off.

And I would like to tell that I always read the rtmf when available in a hack... that's why I was so confuse about my problem  Embarrassed

Well, many thanks again.

I always make a research before post but sometime, its not easy for me to understand everything in english.  There is some words or expression in english that I don't use or understand in french so I don't always find a solution for my problem when I'm searching for.  Apologize again for this post  Grin  and so much thanks.

You're right, I have some little dificulties with my english, I apolozige  Embarrassed

Sometimes, I have to read more then four time to be sure to really understand clearly.  But all hack is in english and all the help I can find is in english.  I really do not want to attack somebody but the official french website for Sims 2 are so bad.  Each time you ask for help, the answer doesn't come or erase or simply ignore by tell us not to go on Pirate site  Roll Eyes

BUT, the help and the bug fix come allways from pirate site at first OR a place like here.  That's why I came here and not in a french one  Undecided

What i will do, is play with an other sims and put one per one all the hack I have in my game to test them.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Tired of these bug error, what's this please on: 2007 October 01, 17:26:29
You also may want to pick an Insim.  You should only have one version installed, not all three.  Having more than one version installed makes things go wonky for no apparent reason.

I though the three was necessary, thanks to told me about it.

Same problem with perfect gardens/perfect plants. One or the other, not both.

Same explanation... I though the two was different.  I will make one out of my game right away.

Thank you very much for your help  Grin

Well, the game is not running more faster.  I put the patch of J.M.Pescado for the critical problem and I notice that I have 13 touristic guide in my neighboorhood so I don't think my game is that much corrupted.

This is incredible how this game is aking so much to a computer.  I would like to know what kind of computer EAGames have to realize this game.  They must have the biggest computer of this world  Shocked
