The fact is, if you want to act like some prissy, spoilt brat, then do us all a favour and piss off back to the official forums where you can be all cute and sparkly-covered as much as you like, where everyone is nice and is drunk on that Kool-Aid shit. Here at MATY, we have rules - rules you two decided were beneath you (or more likely, you hadn't bothered to read). Either get with the program or piss off. We don't do nice here.
Wow.

The lovely, wonderful, helpful, incredibly intelligent AND good looking people in this forum are going to tear you a new one for double-posting. If that's all you have to do, well then, more power to you. I was just trying to help and it didn't click that I was "double posting" since I was responding to more than one person. Not to worry, I *expected* some cranky young fart to make a complaint about my post(s) no matter what I said or didn't say!

Thank you for all teh info about this game. I was going to buy it the other day but I was quite skeptical about it. All your feedback has helped me save my money. Thanks. lol Depends on what you want out of a game. Everyone I know personally loves it. Haven't seen them in my online game since TSM was released. Then again, I haven't been out of TSM much myself (except to come here to see if anyone has fixed the inevitable EA issues)! Come to think of it ... where the heck is my family? Remember, the lovely, wonderful, helpful, incredibly intelligent AND good looking people in this forum (did I suck up enough?) are not exactly FANS of Sims in ANY game.

Naw the primary hero is a Monarch, and secondary is a spy or some others, so it's undoable if you already married your monarch off. Looks like I'm ganna have to divorce him and then remarry. Yay for testingcheats. You don't need testingcheats, the game enables you to divorce and break up. My Monarch was involved with someone (not married, but had child). I couldn't get the quest done until I discovered the break up option (don't have a Spy, didn't want my Knight married off yet). Break Ups (non-married) can be done by clicking on the Hero then click on Mean > Break Up (wasn't hard to make the ex friendly again). Annulments can be done if they have not woohoo'd. Click on the Hero. Divorce can be done at the Jacoban Cathedral for $500. Divorce can be done at the Peteran Monastery after the Hero has prayed and gets the Watcher's Smile buff.

I have the quest "A Political Marriage" to do in order to make an ally out of Elfstonian (spelling?), however my monarch is already married, anyone know if any other quests will pop up for them to become my allies? I really don't want to have to absolve my monarch's marriage to her knight.
Sorry if this was already answered: according to Prima (yes, I purchased the game AND the guide and I'm not sorry! lol) - Quest: A Political Marriage. The 2 approaches are Seduce and Outmaneuver. Requirements for Seduce are an UNmarried Monarch, Knight, or Spy. Requirements for Outmaneuver are UNmarried Monarch or Spy. This is the quest that allies your kingdom with Effenmont.

I did crash once, and my options refuses to open. But other then that, it's seemingly alright.
I had the issue of crashing and no options also, we probably downloaded the same software. I actually gave in and purchased it this time (something I RARELY do) and there have been no problems since. My biggest issue with the game is that sims stomp and whine when routes are blocked. Drives me crazy. Walk AROUND that person, stupid sim!!

Yep, sure have heard of it ... and I use it. I played BV *first* without *any* downloads, and I was not impressed. There are a few things I miss, but I think I'll wait for a patch, then wait to see what you all say about the patch. Then maybe I'll try it again. I don't have 50k downloads on purpose! lol There are some absolutely gorgeous items out there. I like realism in my game so I go thru a lot of items finding just the right thing (can't always tell by the pictures how good an item looks in game). Takes time to weed thru all the files to get rid of what you don't want and/or need. I'm down to 35k files now, hoping to eventually get it down to 20 or so. We'll see! hehe So the general consensus is NOT to use the compressorizor, eh? Hmmm, when I researched it, all I found was good stuff about it. I'll do a search here, see if it's been talked about before (I didn't know about MATY until just recently). Man, when my drive crashed I lost my backups (because I'm an idiot and never got around to putting another copy on my storage drive) so I don't have the uncompressed versions anymore. This is going to be a LONG day.

We use no CD cracks for every game (not just sims) we play with no issues, and have for many years. It started out being a way to help preserve our original CDs and ended up making playing much easier (now my computer doesn't have to sit right next to me since I rarely have to actually touch it - I have it set up to start when I touch the keyboard or press a mouse button). We find our no CD cracks at gamecopyworld.com (game copy world) and/or gameburnworld.com (game burn world). Just be sure you get the appropriate file for the game AND version you are playing and you should be fine. Very easy.

I have been playing Sims since the very beginning. I've always had all eps and all stuff packs. Not all are really wonderful, but I've never had any serious complaints ... until BV. Today I will remove BV and redo everything. I'm sick of the extended load times (which is VERY painful since I have almost 50,000 downloads to load!) and things crashing (like the BV Mansion, which I didn't even make or change - I haven't even seen it inside yet). And no, I'm not using any mods that were not fixed for BV. I found that out the hard way (never had an issue before) with the newspapers falling all over my lots. lol
I'm going to stick with Seasons until it gets (officially) patched properly and more mods are updated. To me, mods are a requirement. The stupid things these sims do (or don't do) drive me absolutely batty. Like constantly waking up the toddlers! Arggg.
