TS2: Burnination / The War Room / Re: Correcting the DNA of Strangetown premade characters

You'd just put the same thing for dominant and recessive. The dominant doesn't really have any greater effect than the recessive, so must make sure they're the same. I'm not sure that the Skintone range actually does anything. It pretty much just reflects their parents skintones. For CAS sims, these would just be the same as their actual skintone. So you'd be safe just copying the value for their expressed skintone to the field for Skintone Range. Changing eye colors in-game is a bit more complex. You have to open the individual sim's file and change some data in there. I've done it a long time ago, but I forgot how. I'm sure it's documented somewhere on here. I believe there is a 50% chance her offspring will get the custom eye color though. There are "contacts" that people have made so you can change your sim's eye color in game in the Accessories tab, like glasses. You can also use a graphics program and SimPE to convert your favorite eye color to "contacts" if they aren't already available. Someone has made detailed instructions on this site as well. Sorry I can't give you a direct link, but it should come up if you do a bit of searching. (BTW, baratron is female. )

Skintone is their actual skintone. This is what you'd change to change their skintone in-game. The skintone range is what would have been inherited from the parents. There is no dominant skintone. If the parents are different skintones, the child can be any skintone between and including the parents' skintones. For example, Dirk is S4,and Lilith is S1. Their children can be any of the four skintones from S1-S4. On the other hand, if Lilith married someone with S2 skintone, their children would be limited to S1 and S2 skintones. For aliens, I think they are dominant, since they are not part of the basic four, kind of like custom skins. You might try searching through this thread or other threads to see how the game handles alien skintones and genetics, since I don't play aliens much and it's been awhile for me.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Stupid 'buy lemonade stand' want.

I'd like to see different wants instead of the same things over and over, for one thing. Every time a new expansion pack comes out, the new wants take over. In Uni, they were obsessed about college. In NL they obsessed about dating and going downtown. In OFB, they obsess about starting a business and hiring every single person they know. In Pets, every single sim wants to adopt a pet or obtain a puppy/kitten. Now in Seasons all the want is to see rain/snow play catch/have water balloon fight/snowball fight, etc. I wish that they could randomize them a little bit more instead of every sim in the neighborhood getting stuck on the same wants all the freaking time.

It saves them the trouble of having to write animations for them pulling their pants down and/or skirt up, and how would they make graphics for the pants or skirt being all wadded up? We aren't supposed to be seeing that anyway, so they just blur it out. What I think is weird is when male sims stand up in front of the toilet and you hear the zipper sound, but they aren't wearing pants with a zipper! They might be wearing undies or sweat pants or something similar. Most of the time I try not to pay attention because watching sims pee doesn't do anything for me.

I've been playing the same hood since the game came out, and it's made it through all the EPs. Of course, I've used Pescado's and TJ's fixes and mods almost as long, and I've done a lot of cleanup with SimPE plus regular backups. I've just recently tried doing a couple of new hoods, because I wanted to do some things different now that I know more about the game and how it works and what NOT to do. I can't bring myself to get rid of my original hood, even though it's getting cumbersome because I let three families go for the 10 kids want. I kept expecting the kids to look different, but the all ended up looking the same! I also agree that there is something odd about Pescado. He's making typos, and he rarely does that. And he sounds way too human.

Mine shows 10 on the skewer before starting a new row, and if there are any pets, they are right next to the first row of sims with the extra sims starting a row to the right of the pets. If there are no pets, then the pets column simply remains empty.

Giggy put them on a Yahoo group, and I thought dewshine had them hosted somewhere for those who don't want to join a Yahoo group. ETA: That was the walls dewshine had on her 4share group. And "giggy" has changed his name to "Jak" for some obscure reason.

I imported Vincent Moore into Body Shop last night and packaged him. I also did Naomi, but I can't remember what her name was before I had her marry Vincent. Also, I've changed their hair and makeup, but that's not a big deal. I'm going to try to do some of the others too when I get the chance and upload them somewhere to be determined later. I would like to recreate Vincent's neighborhood in TS2 and play them there.

My dad told me not to use isopropyl alcohol to clean things because it leaves a residue. He worked with tape recorders and various other types of electronics and always used denatured alcohol to clean the heads. This is before PC's were really popular, but I would assume the same would go for any type of electronics.

Hi Is there anywhere I can download the Characters from LS? I thought SaraMK said something about it a while back, but I don't think she's started on that yet. I thought of taking a shot at it sometime, if I get around to it and no one else has done it.
