1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2013 February 24, 05:39:22
Has anybody else had a problem with the actual Aurora Skies world being corrupt? Most of the other bits seem to be okay when opened up in the Dashboard, but the world itself is coming up corrupted. I arr'd the file from here, ran it through the decrapifier and compressorizer, then unzipped it to its component parts. It wouldn't install properly in original format, decrapped, or unzipped. Before decrapping it whined for a patch, and after it says it installs but never shows up on the list.

There does seem to be an Awesomemod issue of some sort. If nothing else it seems to be killing the 'Abducted' moodlet.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Seasons Impressions? on: 2012 December 15, 05:26:26
Well, I used the "ridiculous likelihood of abduction" mod, and the bug-eyed bastards were still no-shows. If they have no ships, how do I find this out and how the hell do I fix it?
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Seasons Impressions? on: 2012 December 14, 15:04:19
I'd like it a lot better if I could fucking get this Sim fucking abducted already. I made a Sim just for that! He's got space rocks and moonstones coming out his ears and Searches the Galaxy when he's hip-deep in snow! What the fuck else do I need to do you weedy green bastards?!
5  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2012 December 07, 17:25:54
I'd love it if only inappropriate and insane sims had the indecency to call up married sims to ask them on a date.  Or maybe only do so if the sim in question already has a slutty reputation.

Agreed, this is driving me nuts.

And maybe not have Sims in relationships call up for dates and then be "Oh! You flirted with me! How dare you flirt with me on the date I asked you for! I will clutch my pearls, call you a cad, and slap your face!"
6  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 November 18, 05:29:11
Up to date patch, Awesomemod, and Seasons.  The seasonal festivals and the weather seem to get... stuck. I'll have snow year-round even though it's summer and the temperature read-out says 75 degrees. I'll go to the park on Leisure Day and still have a haunted house. I can reset-to-current by save-exit-restart, but that gets kind of annoying.
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2012 November 16, 02:57:12
Some kind of 'summon aliens' functionality because the odds I've been quoted of telescope + space rocks = 90%+ are clearly lies since I've been trying for this idiot Sim's entire life with no results.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: CAS crash with 1.42 on: 2012 November 05, 17:09:23
Well, it doesn't crash now, which is good. I can choose traits, but Lifetime Wish is borked to a fare-thee-well. I get gray hearts instead of the gold emblems, and if I click any of the slots where the choices should be I get a blank list. I can make a teenager, but I still can't move anybody into a house or lot without getting the map view with no controls. It's a step in the right direction at least! Is this an official Awesome issue, or just an EA issue that Pescado has chosen to leap upon with weapons brandished?
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / CAS crash with 1.42 on: 2012 November 05, 13:38:46
Oddball glitch, and I've done everything I can think of, but still no dice.

I can load the game just fine, and the Supernatural splash, the intro vid, all that are fine. I can choose and load a neighborhood. I can go into CAS and build whatever Sim I want... until I get to the personality. I click 'Add traits" and the game crashes. Every time. It doesn't even load the selector. I also can't change traits with EditSim. I still get the same "The Sims 3 has stopped working".

Also when I try to play a premade, I get stuck at the map view with no controls and no way to zoom in. If I go through the first step of the tutorial (the 'find your Sim!' bit), it seems to override this glitch and I can get into the house.

I've stripped out all my CC. Deleted my caches. Re-installed all twenty-thousand discs. (Exact same error afterward and it REALLY pissed me off.) Googled, MATY searched, MTS searched, and even tried to stick my nose in the BBS (failed).

Anybody have any ideas?

EDIT: Well I thought I could use the tutorial. It apparently doesn't work anymore.

Now that the Witches have ways to set people on fire, is there any way to remove the coding that blocks them from setting someone with the 'singed' moodlet on fire? It would be a quick and easy 'murder your neighbors' fix (and with murder enabled, it would be tough to find reasons to play a non-Witch ever again.)
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2012 September 11, 02:23:09
Would it be at all possible to kill autonomous werewolf furniture-scratching? In a house with six werewolves it's hard to ride herd on the little fuckers to keep them from trashing everything. Maybe make it a directed action instead, for anyone who mysteriously wants to wreck their own furniture?
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Inexplicably Multiplicative Showtime Props on: 2012 August 25, 21:01:24
Wow, I... really should have thought of that. Heh. Thanks!
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Inexplicably Multiplicative Showtime Props on: 2012 August 25, 04:38:05
I've got all the EPs and SPs up to the latest, and all patched. Every time I send a Sim on vacation, if they're in one of the Showtime performance careers, they return with duplicates of their props. An extra balance ball and hoop for my acrobat, for example. To get rid of them I have to find a place on the lot with enough room, then hit them with the hammer. It gets a bit annoying.

I have AwesomeMod and most of the major NRaas add-ins, but I don't think anything I've got from NRaas has Showtime-related alterations. Or World Adventures alterations, for that matter.

Has anyone seen this glitch before?
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Lights! Camera! Inaction! SHOWTIME! on: 2012 March 20, 03:05:50
I'm having lots of hang-ups with the two Magician trick boxes, both on stage and off. They'll hang mid-trick and won't cancel out, just staying up in the corner with the red X through the icon.

The phone has also stopped working at some unknown point on both my magicians. I can still call Sims from the relationship panel, but can't do anything from the cell phone or from any house phone. I can click all day, there will be a very brief stutter of lag, and no menu pops up.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sunset Valley = Krypton? on: 2009 December 19, 04:00:52
...  When I was just using the no-cd crack ...

I dont get why people do that, AM disables the cd check so what is the point of having a no-cd cracked executable if you are going to use AM?

Because that was the only way I could get it to load at all, at the time.  I was checking to see if it was a problem with the installed game, or with my installation of AM.

And here's a link to a screencap, forgive the crappy quality please: http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b279/edana_ni_emer/Krypton.jpg
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Sunset Valley = Krypton? on: 2009 December 19, 02:45:43
It took me most of the day, but I finally managed to get AwesomeMod to actually a) install and b) work.  Mostly.   When I was just using the no-cd crack that came with the Reloaded version of World Adventures, everything looked fine and normal.   With AM in, apparently my Sim lives on Krypton.  The ambient light is all blood-red, though the light from the lamps and streetlights works normally.

Anybody know what I might have screwed up?
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid SimChina quest impossible to complete. on: 2009 December 01, 05:48:54
I believe he was already a shopkeeper when the tourney role was assigned.  They don't seem to kill themselves off much, and my Sim had been wandering around doing other quests.  I'll try plugging in AM now that I've got the patch and give it a shot.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid SimChina quest impossible to complete. on: 2009 November 28, 17:18:11

Have you tried Greeting the said Sim first? You have to do that before challenge can work.
If all fails, shift-age up the said sim until said sim dies. You will then get a new merch and challenger assigned.

All else failed. :-)  I ended up having to kill him off.  Thanks!  Don't know why I didn't think of that... I guess I was trying to find a legitimate way to do it.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Stupid SimChina quest impossible to complete. on: 2009 November 28, 08:21:05
I'm supposed to have my Sim win the blasted Martial Arts tournament, but the guy that I'm supposed to fight for the first round?  Is the Relics shopkeeper.

And he never leaves the shop.

No matter when/how often I call him, or what my relationship with him is, I get the "I'm at work and I don't know when I'll be done" answer when I try to call him or challenge him or invite him over or do *anything*.  I can go over and talk to him at the shop, but I can't challenge him to spar or fight.

Next on the list, try romancing him and marrying him to make him selectable.  *sigh*

EDIT: Nope.  He's married, but I never get an option for 'ask to break up with X', nor do I get to ask him to go to my Sim's vacation home.  And I haven't figured out yet how to kill him off, since my buy/build controls are only good on my home lot.  Anybody got any ideas?

EDIT 2:  I do sometimes get a 'challenge to ranked sparring match' option... but only when it's grayed out because my Sim is fatigued.  If she's not within a hair of getting the tired moodlet, it doesn't show up at all.
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Weird Crash --- can't find any sort of solution. on: 2009 August 07, 16:47:36
Ah, finally figured it out.  I'd skipped a patch.  >.<  I hadn't even known that the new one was out, I was still using the last one.  *facepalm*
21  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Weird Crash --- can't find any sort of solution. on: 2009 August 07, 16:28:29
Okay, I've run the updater *three times*, every time I do it says the game is already patched... but the .exe info never matches up with what you've shown.  I'm working off the Razor1911 version.

Edit: And I've run the patch log reader, and it says everything installed successfully.  WTF?   Huh
22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Weird Crash --- can't find any sort of solution. on: 2009 August 06, 18:06:28
I've got the same weird crash issue:  Previous version of Awesomemod worked fine.  Got the "UPDATE YOU MORON" message, updated.  Game would then load, but when I tried to choose a savegame or create a new one, the game crashed to desktop with no warning (though I could choose to copy a game with no problem).  Deleted caches, no effect. reinstalled game, no effect but I had forgotten to delete the leftover folders.  Reinstalled game again, tried running game with a cracked .exe and without Awesomemod, game worked fine.  Replaced cracked .exe with original, tried putting Awesomemod back in, crash to desktop when I tried to choose a neighborhood.

From what I can tell, it's something AM-related. But only with the new one, the old one worked fine.  I'm patched and have no other CC.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Technical problems with THE HORROR: downloading, installing, and running it on: 2009 May 18, 23:15:31
I'm having a *really* weird problem with getting the blasted thing installed.  I'm running Vista, and even in the Administrator account, the setup.exe file from the .iso gives me a "destination folder access required" error.  I can't copy it, paste it, run it, open it... nothing.  I can't even put it in a zip file.   I've tried everything I can think of to give myself permission to mess with the blasted thing, but nothing works.

EDIT: Never mind, found a fixed installer.
24  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Yet Another (More Different!!) Crashing Seasons Problem. on: 2007 March 05, 21:07:41
Here's hoping there's a fix-it.  *crosses fingers*
25  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Yet Another (More Different!!) Crashing Seasons Problem. on: 2007 March 05, 19:15:58
Is that why it's crashing?  And if it is, is there anything I can do about it?
