1  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 September 05, 00:48:55
Have you tried moving him out, then asking her to move in with him in his new dwelling? And out of curiosity, if you did try to move him out, does she pop up as eligible to move out with him?

With further testing, I did move him out and ask her to move in separately, this appears to have fixed things.  When I moved him, I was not given the option to move his wife, but when she moved in, they maintained their married relationship.

I don't understand it but whatever, lesson learned!

Is anyone having trouble moving in or marrying roommates?

My test subject moved into an apartment and almost instantly fell in love with his roommate.  I tried to find him someone else but no one appealed at all.  I tried to move the roommate in and make her controllable.  When that didn't work, I tried to have them marry and hoped that would correct the problem.  It didn't.

Now they're married but she's still uncontrollable.

I only have awesome hacks and the updated triplets/quads installed.  Do I need to kick her out and ask her to move in again?  Do I have any other options?

Also, she never, ever used a bed even though there was one available.  I thought it was a bork but it seems that people in this thread have problems with their roomies using the wrong bed, but not one with a roomie not using a bed at all.

Just got home with mine!  I am copying my downloads folder over to a cd before I install it though.  But I'll be playing in 20 minutes or so and thinking of you guys!   Wink

Coming out of lurkerdom just because my favorite eyes haven't been mentioned yet.  I think that Vaygirl's eyes over TSR (I know...evil paysite) are the best eyes for sims.  I keep downloading but of everything I've downloaded hers are the only ones that don't look weird from any angle.

I don't have a subscription there anymore so I don't have all her newest eyes but I was just there today and I saw that she had made a shadow overlay to make them more realistic for those who think they're too cartoony.

They're not default replacement but since the directions on how to make them default have been posted several times I think I'll just slink back to the shadows...carry on.

Thanks for the help guys.  I manually deleted them and the next time the gardener came he behaved normally.  I had heard of the bug before but it had never affected me and I wasn't sure of the fix.

Also I wanted to let everyone know that it was still out there.

I've skimmed over most of the posts and I haven't seen this mentioned yet.  I just had an army of gardeners show up in front of my house.  I counted more than 30.  I don't have any hacks affecting NPC behaviors (i.e. daily gardener or anything like that) and I've hired gardeners since adding my custom content back in with no problems at all.  Has this happened to anyone else?  Is there a specific culprit I should be looking at or is it a bug?

I have, on more than one occasion, seen the birthday cake disappear when they try to pick it up.  Once or twice they have stood in the center of a dining room chair and continued to eat.  Plus, of course, the innumerable problems with the infant to toddler age transitions.  This all occurred before I downloaded your lot debugger and hasn't bothered me since.  This could be a coincidence or the fact that your fixes have saved my games from being a big fiery ball visible from space.
