1  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Anti-Redundancy *CRITICAL FOR BVp0* on: 2007 September 15, 13:24:03
Thank you for clearing that up. One more question. Is it normal to have just one tour guide?

Here's hoping she shows up sooner or later.
2  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Anti-Redundancy *CRITICAL FOR BVp0* on: 2007 September 15, 12:08:36
OK, slight problem. My Sim checked into the Twikki Island Beach Hotel and there was no tour guide on the lot. I exited the game and removed the antiredundency hack, and my tour guide was back. A different tour guide (the first was female this one was male).

This Sim was the second Sim to check into the hotel. Don't know if that has anything to do with it. Maybe the game demands a different tour guide each time? I checked for errors in the log that might help. There is nothing there. The Sim finished his vacation and checked out. Another Sim checked in and still no guide. The tour guide only showed up after I removed the fix.

Anyway, I love this fix. 4 vacations and no extra characters. Just thought I'd let you know about this. Meanwhile, the fix stays.
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: is "No meet professors" OFB compatiable? on: 2006 March 28, 09:51:54
Thank you Miss Doh. Now I feel like going "Doh!" myself. I checked TJ's "This space for rent...What works in OFB " but never thought about looking directly in TJ's Post. I'm putting this hack back in ASAP!
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / is "No meet professors" OFB compatiable? on: 2006 March 27, 09:17:24
I tried looking for TJ's "No Meet Professors" on his list of OFB compatiable stuff, but I could not find it. Is this hack OFB compatiable? Sorry if it's already been mentioned.

I hear good things about bit-defender. It's a complete internet security package with an ani-virus, firewall, apyware dtector, ect.

http://www.bitdefender.com It ain't free though.
6  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: No Playable Shoppers on: 2006 March 15, 06:54:01
Wait, so townies keep everything they ever bought? Please say that isn't so, because it sounds like a really bad idea. What happens if I sell them some custom content and later delete it? Would that cause the whole 'hood to go KABLOOY?
7  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: No Playable Shoppers on: 2006 March 11, 03:55:24
Thank you for this much needed hack, Pescado. Playable Sims buying stuff is not the only problem. They can also spend their hard-earned cash in a ticketed venue, like Club Dante. I don't know how much of their cash they can spend, but I know it ain't coming back.

Plus, being the control freak that I am, I don't want my Sim going shopping and flirting with someone they are not supposed to. I will tell you who to fall in love with, dammit.
8  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Final Exam Fix For NLp2 on: 2006 February 28, 14:42:20
Thank you for getting rid of this bothersome bug. I really needed this fix and can't tell you how much I appreciate this.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Alright, so the Final Exam bug is back, but............. on: 2006 February 13, 09:33:20
I'm having the exact same problem too Mike. It only happens if a Sim happens to have a class at the same time he is sceduled for a final. The silly Sim then goes to class and misses the final.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hack Request: A plastic surgery machine that changes genetics on: 2006 January 16, 11:01:29
Wow! Thanks SaraMK and Andygal. I had no idea it would be so easy.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hack Request: A plastic surgery machine that changes genetics on: 2006 January 15, 19:11:47
You mean using Sim Surgery? But it would be so much easier to do in game with the Surgery Machine, and you wouldn't need to creatre a clone.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Hack Request: A plastic surgery machine that changes genetics on: 2006 January 15, 18:53:09
Could someone please hack Dr. Vu's plastic Surgery machine to change a Sim's genetics? I don't know if this is even possible, but if anyone can do it, it's the MATY hackers. Please.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New Open for Busioness Video 1/05/05 on: 2006 January 06, 15:10:53
I am really looking forward to this one. Training your Sim to be a master craftman (craftsim?) and creating new stuff. I assume that a Sim can create better things when they get the skill. Can't imagine someone just picking up a workbench and making a robot. I think it'll be fun to train them.

I've always loved the idea of home businesses, but running a store sound like fun too. Managing your empoyees and creating a great sales staff and managing them sounds fun. I hope that we'll be able to build our business on any community lot.

My only worry is the additional characters this expansion will create. 100 additional Sims? 200? *shudders* Looking forward to more info., but I will get this. I've been buying Sim games simce Living It Up and would not continue to do so if I didn't think they were worth it.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / New Open for Busioness Video 1/05/05 on: 2006 January 05, 04:32:39
Forgive my fangirl-like excitment, but this expansion pack looks like it's going to be a blast! Really looking forward for more info. on this. Like where exactly will our Sim's businesses be located?

15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Please Help - I'm Tearing My Hair Out!! on: 2005 December 30, 15:21:29
You have to enable custom content then leave the game and start it again. Not rebooting the PC, just restarting the game.  Yeah, I know I'm grasping at straws here.

Do the bodystop items show up? Things like custon hair and eyes and clothes? I'm just trying to get a better idea of what is going on.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Live in maid? on: 2005 December 28, 12:59:17
Christiuanlov has an all-in-ine NPC. She cooks, she cleans, and she takes care of the chidren. I've never used her myself but I think she a live-in maid.

Thank you for pointing that program out angelyne. There is also JFade's at DJSims Sims 2 Hack and Duplicate Scanner. I used both and none found anything   Cheesy

Just thought I'd mention that program for people who don't already know it. Here's a link:

18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Anyone test the new character file limit (post NL) ? on: 2005 December 23, 14:12:34
Hehe! Can't say I blame you Emma. That's probably the best way to go about it.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Headmaster just doesn't want to have fun anymore! on: 2005 December 23, 12:13:38
This may seem like a silly question, especialy since the headmaster IS notoriously buggy, but did you end the tour? After your Sim shows the headmaster all the rooms he's going to he should end the tour.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Anyone test the new character file limit (post NL) ? on: 2005 December 23, 12:07:33
We all know that you start hitting a critical mass at around 800 character files and getting odd glitches. That's when you need hacks (critical fixes) to keep you 'hood running.

According to Maxis this limit has been increased. Does anyone know if this is true? Has anyone been brave enough to test this?
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is it safe to delete this useless NPC? on: 2005 December 18, 14:39:02
Thank you Ancient Sim.
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Is it safe to delete this useless NPC? on: 2005 December 18, 14:19:56
My Sim called in sick, and this -naturally- generated a usless NPC. IS it safe to delete this NPC?

I don't think she has any relatipnship with anyone, but just thought I'd ask people more awsome than me just to be one the safe side. I plan on using the Phone Hack so it won't happen again.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Too many files/sims explanation for dummies needed on: 2005 December 02, 18:37:30

Further, if you kill off some townies/dormies in-game (rather than deleting them before you start), they auto regenerate unless you have the hack to not regenerate them, right?  And these auto-regenerated townies/dormies do not replace the killed off townies/dormies files - they create *new* character files which count toward the total of about 800.

Correct?

That is exactly as I understand it. No Sim is deleted by the game. Ever. Their character files stay and count towards the total. Nuking any and all characters before any Sim has any memories of them seems like a great idea. I know this may seem kind of stupid, but I have to ask: If I delete all characters where will my service NPC's come from? I.E Maids, nannies, ect. Will delete all characters delete NPC like Grimmy.

Couldn't I just put in the no regen hack and manualy delete all townies, downtownies, and dormies? Who needs them? I'm talking about a spanking new never played 'hood with only NPCs in it.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A question about sims 'learning to study' on: 2005 November 28, 12:21:01
Thank you JM and IgnorantBliss Cheesy I am 90% sure that  leaning to study does affect the completion time of Uni Assignments. My student always seem to finish their assignment faster then their fellow dormies.

I also noticed that university students can teach each other how to study. Just have a fellow student help you with assignments.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / A question about sims 'learning to study' on: 2005 November 28, 08:30:23
Does being taught to study effect the speed with which a Sim learns skill from a book? I know that it makes Sims finish homework and assignments faster, just wanted to know if school work was all it effected.
