I don't have M&G yet, so I can laugh at this. I suppose I won't be laughing much once I get it.
It's not really that big of deal. It's just a new idle animation that they do when walking outside. It is quite odd when the game tries to add a couple animations together though. The really annoying animation that I want stomped is the fucking deep breath thing they do when standing around outside. No one sits there smelling the air that often. As I was reading about your dilemma, I thought, hey, maybe it's just a sunny day? (Not really, but it sounded like a great answer). I can't believe that is actually the reason. That is to funny! Hope it's fixed soon. I think I may be getting this SP for Christmas. I totally agree with you about the deep breath thing. It looks like they all have asthma. Sometimes I get so annoyed I delete them. Another weird thing is the jerky back and forth head movement when waiting to be greeted. It looks like Parkinson's on speed. Bleh.

So did I. 293 infections to be exact. Granted, only one was a HIGH threat, Gamersonline? Never been there, done that. But it is still a relief to be able to turn on the computer without crappola hittting me from every direction. I really must remember to turn OFF my computer each day rather than once a month. Hey, Blue.

My advice is either buy cheap or don't buy at all.
To be honest though the only reasons I buy them (at ridiculously cheap) are that I'm a collector by nature & I participate in the house of fail comps.
While nothing is as free as arr'ing, if you are uncomfortable with that, Amazon did just drop Apartment Life down to $14.99.
Not so much unable or unwilling as completely useless at installing arred proggies that aren't pretty much point & click. That & the p2p proggies give me the willies. Am willing to provide blanks/replacement costs to anyone willing to ship me anything I don't have, however, I am the queen of bargain hunting & have recently purchased most for less than the price you quoted me. Plus I enjoy haggling. The listed price is rarely the price I pay for anything. *Edited to fix typos with brief interlude to beat the shit out of the lappy for being such a dick about this spelling & punctuation shit.
I still have a 'never removed from the shipping box' copy of Seasons gathering mucho dust in a corner...I imagine most peeps have arr'd said EP, since I have no takers. It's FREE people! Well, if you live on Mt Kilimanjaro, maybe a small shipping fee..

I use AVG, but find it misses tons of stuff that I consider mal/spyware; so as a back-up I use PC Tools Disk Suite (free) and Spyware Doctor, which does a great job finding things AVG misses.

JP-The sims stand in front of the dressers, Armoires, etc., and spin into different outfits, then get back in the line that has formed and do it again. Visitors and family members do this.
Laylei-don't have Squinge's mods in the game, but I do have others such as Merola, Decorgal, Lord Darcy, etc.
I will however do what I should have done first and remove all mods before reporting. Got distracted watching Castaway.

TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Let's Play Dress-Up!

From what I have read, I decided to skip the Apts and play only houses for now, thinking I might forgo all the borkedness at least until a patch comes along. So, I plop the 6 orphans (from the sim bin in Belladonna Cove) into a nice house and before long visitors are swarming the place. I have the children greet and entertain and soon the visitors are all inside and crowding around...the dressers. They all got in line, including the orphans and took turns changing clothes. Over and over and over..ad infinitum. I finally had to delete the dressers. Should I just give the apartments a go, assuming this is related to them in some way and I cannot avoid the craziness, or resign to never let my house sims change clothing? The only two family sims that didn't line up for fresh duds were the toddlers. (Must have been the smart milk). I am sure this will be the least of my issues, once I have played for a few days.

Since my last donation gave me nothing but a sucky title, I want to make sure we all get something tangible from this one. I propose that all top donators be automatically named Senators and second place donators become Pages. But with no visible titles so of course we all have to guess which is which. Ok, Senators, don't pee your pants, I'm kidding. Back to subject on hand, I'll do what I can to help. If I don't spend it all on T-Shirts and mugs. I love this crazy place. eta: Removed computer issues for a more appropriate thread.

I've been reading these posts with dread and putting off playing as long as possible. I've spent the past weeks collecting mods and CC for the game but last night I decided to play for a bit. I purposely plopped the Orphan kids into a house to put off the inevitable frustration of apartments. In doing so, I noticed a behaviour that quickly drove me to distraction. Every walk-by, after being greeted and talked to, walked straight into one of two bedrooms that were equipped with dressers and repeatedly changed clothes! Over and over and over. Four of the orphan kids did the same. Everyone lined up to change clothes. It was ridiculous! I finally deleted all dressers and the walk-bys. Bleh! I have never seen this behaviour in any EP before this. Thank god I didn't start out playing an apartment, I would have deleted the entire building. If someone has already posted this issue, many pardons for overlooking it and possibly getting a fix. I miss my dressers.

The plumbob is my favorite but I would only wear the shirt around the house. Wouldn't want to attract any Sim players IRL. I imagine I would buy one or two of them several sizes too big and use them for sleepwear. Nice and comfy.

Angie, thank you so much for sharing. I will look for the Unlocker and try it. I'm game for anything at this point. I haven't had time to deal with it today, but hopefully I can deal with it tomorrow. If I have to name all of my folders something beginning with 'A', then that's what I'll do, but the problem has to be much deeper than that. Thank you again for your input.

Idon't know, but it is highly frustrating. This will be the third time in a week I've have to come back to get MATY files for the game. They keep "poofing". That goes for any folder past the letter 'A'. All gone. As long as I leave them on the desk top they are fine, drop them into my DL folder and they are MIA. My DL folder is the Bermuda Triangle. Blerg. I guess I will break down and uninstall/re-install, just to say I tried it. EDIT Less than 5 minutes ago, after making this post, I d/l the FT version of MATY mods to my desktop, renamed it Downloads MATY and dropped it in my DL folder in the game. I immediately opened the DL folder and guess what? MATY folder is not there. This is beyond weird. EDIT 2 I decided to add a new MATY folder to my DL's. This time I named it 'A Maty Mod App'. Dumb name but the key here was to make sure it started with an 'A'. Just experimenting. The folder lives! It is alive, visible and well in my DL folder. What to make of that? Haven't a clue. Any ideas?

I'm not sure how to use safe mode, it's been quite some time since I've done it and I had a tech on the line to guide me through. I'll try the hidden file method, although when I did a search earlier, I did check off to include all hidden files and folders. Won't hurt to try anyway. Morrigant, I did restart the computer, yes. I even tried Systems Restore.
Battycoda, I tend to agree. I did have a Trojan a few days ago, but was able to get rid of it. I doubt the two issues are connected. But anything's possible.

Thank you for replying. No, I did the usual unzip and drop into individual folders, aka objects, mods, etc. I just returned from checking out the game and although I get the notice that the file I am adding is already there, it is fact, is not. None of my MATY items are there and the buy/build objects are very thinned down. Why it tells me they are there, when in fact I now know they are not, is a mystery. It looks like I will have to start from scratch. Bullocks! eta: Clean installer and HCDU will not run due to "problems" and must close. I am thinking I may have to start anew. I know I have SecuRom as well as the FT 3 patch, so maybe that is the issue? After a long year or so of not being able to play, much less type a complete sentence, due to mitigating circumstances, this is a real pain in the neck. I so looked forward to playing again.

Hey guys, Somehow, someway, my folders that I have spent the last 3 weeks compiling and organizing for my Downloads folder have "disappeared". One day there, next day gone. The weird thing is that when I started the arduous task of replacing them, I get a pop-up stating that the file I am trying to add to the downloads folder already has a file of that name. For instance, my MATY folder is gone, but when I try to add a new MATY folder, I get the pop-up. I would guess that at least 10 folders are missing/invisible. I have searched the enitre? computer looking for wanderlust files to no avail. Any suggestions other than starting all over? I am getting ready to fire up the game to see if those files are indeed there, but not there, so to speak. This is a new one for me. Pointing and laughing may now ensue.

Being a completionist in some areas, I do get all of the expansions and SP's, no matter how horrid. As for the Life Stories, I have no desire whatsoever, even though I was gifted with Castaways a few weeks ago. Haven't opened it yet. Still trying to get my game running smoothly after a year of no play. So many files, some old, some updated, and many duplicates. Long way to go...

Early on I was able to 'drown' annoying playables and remember getting a pop-up when I returned to the dead Sim's home saying that the sim died on another lot. Don't know why it wouldn't work for vacations as well. Also, the cowplant ate half my uni students who lived on other lots, (annoying uni peeps).
I may have to try the vacation route one of these days when I am feeling crabby, heh.
