Motoki, I LOVE YOU!!!
Here is my question. I was wondering on something. Uhm, do you know how to make the townies or NPCs to use the clothings list (how I am supposed to express it? a clothing catalogue? I mean the thing which pops up when I click 'change into') ?
I was just trying to make an item to give clothes to some NPCs but actually I can't find a sutaible way. The only way I found working is making them a family member temporarily. You would be truly truly appreciated if you give me some informations on it. And see ya!!! ^^

They search for cribs by guids... So probably sims may have some problem in recognizing custom cribs sometimes.. There is no category for cribs..

Isn't it funny that adult sims often go to cribs, wake up sleeping toddlers, just to do something not so important and put them back in? I think no baby harrassment hack or a targetable door system should handle it fine. In my case, what I think most annoying is the age transition from baby to toddler. It takes really long time and make mother sims completely exhausted.

Motoki, it's just out of my curioisity and I feel sorry cause this is not related with this item. I just hope you can take my question easy. What I am always curious is that................................ Are you Japanese? (You know I just write this post to amuse you, don't you?) You know, your nickname sounds like a Japanese name. I studied Japanese and for a very very short time and I think your name sounds like "central tree" or something.

Not sure it may help you, but in my case, I usually first translate the whole object.package using diasim2 written by shy and dizzy2, then I look up what I'd like to find in the txt file. Then I open object.package and pick up the part I want using the group filter feature of SimPE. All the numbers are nothing if you use disasim2 and PJSE, you can do it!

I also noticed the nannies have code to potty train etc. but I've never had them actually do it so it doesn't seem to work. Any idea why that is Christianlov? Uh motoki, there is a bhav named 'Nanny - Scan - Bladder' and nannies are supposed to search for toddlers with no potty train skill... but Maxis disabled this. I mean this bhav looks like being used but they don't use it at all. There is a line of checking toddler's skill flag, but there are wrong parts in this bhav so it doesn't work. Of course, they absolutely can make nannies potty train toddlers but maybe they found some bugs when they were testing this or they just wanted parent sims to do this? I did have a nanny recently give a kid a bath in the tub and I've had the game for a year and always use nannies but that was the first time I saw that happen. Another very annoying thing about their code is they are way too biased towards hunger above all else. If a child is only halfway on the hunger meter but all the way down on energy or bladder they will keep trying to force it to eat even if it pisses itself and passes out on the floor. They will also stick tired toddlers in the high chair which the toddlers do not like! It's because nannies don't check if toddlers/babies are desperate or they don't know what they (nannies) should do first when toddler/babies' multiple motives are bad. Motoki you are definately right, and it's a sort of infinite loop. You know, nannies do somethiing, toddlers quit this action to show tantrums, nannies try again, and so on... I know those nannies are complex but they could have tested them a bit more or worked on them some and cleaned up the code too, there's no need for the ambulance part. I have to say your nanny works a lot better for me than the Maxis ones, though she does just stand around a lot so maybe that's part of the reason. Those Maxis ones always wander off and do something annoying and/or stupid. Right bugs are there or at least nannies have a lot of part to be modified.

In my personal opinion, Maxis nannies aren't that bad. I should send you some of my nannies and then see how you feel! I frequently have the problem where they will just stay at my house and never leave. Seems to be some issue with the nanny van when I checked the logs. Sometimes they will just go about their business and sleep, eat and shower on their own (but ignore the kid :p) but other times they go completely nuts and start acting like a malfunctioning robot standing in place waving their arms over and over yelling "GORMON!!" until they get so tired they pass out in their own piss. Are they stuck? In most cases, forcing error will help. That might be not related with the nanny van. They can be stuck.. Baglenuts. I think they are pretty complicated and evolved. (At least I think so ) But they have a process of caring for their own motives, so they can be abusive to employer sims and eat something, take shower, fool around and so on.

I think a gorilla is pretty handsome when compared with Maxis townies.
What? Motoki, you are so funny! Haha I laughed a lot! I think you are a man full of humor.

In my personal opinion, Maxis nannies aren't that bad. I think they are one of the most complicated NPCs Maxis ever made. But uhm they have to stay for several hours in player's lot, so I think Maxis felt they have to make them look more alive and active. So they made them care for their own motives so I think that's why they are fooling around that much and peeing on themselves and babies.

It's like combining households. Their are no familial ties added. The teleporter shrub is very easy...you just teleport in the sim you want to add, and then "move in..." and click his/her name. Voila! Instant roomie. Be aware, though, that JM has warned me my game may do the fiery ball thing, but so far, no problems. And I've played this neighborhood for over a year. But, still, you've been warned. I have a ton of custom content! I'm a download addict. And my computer specs are modest. I play on my laptop. Of course, I bought the laptop for the purpose of playing the Sims 2 (that's just wrong, lol!), so it does exceed minimum specs. 2GHz Pentium M with an Ati Radeon Mobility 9700 with 128 mb dedicated. I need more RAM, though. Only have 512 mb. I've had no problems with lag, but loading is slooooooow. I need to upgrade my harddrive. I really need to upgrade my hard drive. But the game itself runs beautifully... That is a.. lot of sims! Well I also have a laptop which has Pentium M Dorthan 735 (1.7 ghz or something), Mobility Radeon 9700 128mb, and 1GB ram, but I can't bear more than 6 sims. Maybe I am too much used to fast shooting games..

There were a lot of dead sims in Pleasantview, some of them ancestors of present families, but the Tricous are part of the Downtown installation of Nightlife. their graves are in the House of Fallen Trees, and they can easily be resurrected with the resurrect-o-mitron, but you have to make sure you pay the full amount (10K simoleons).
My guess is that they made Rainelle Neengia and then forgot to finish her details before they put her in a grave in the cemetery or whatever. There are various sim ghosts like that in Strangetown, in the Specter house (or garden), some with histories, some without, and apparently just made so that the house will be haunted. All can be resurrected if you find a living sim who knows them (or if not, you can tick the known sim box for whichever sim you want to resurrect them.)
AH, I see. Then they are for tombs.

And I also found three dead Crumplebottoms in Pleasantview.
Victor + Gretle Goth = Gunter Goth, Frida Goth
Simon + Prudence Crumplebottom = Cornelia Goth, Agnes Crumplebottom
Gunter + Cornelia Goth = Mortimer Goth
Jeniccor + Jonathan Tricou = Nylissit Tricou, Jenail Tricou
Jenail + Kvornan Tricou = Fricorith Tricou
Nylissit + Kiernan Tricou = Gvaudoin Tricou
Flat + Flo Broke = Skip Broke
Skip Broke = Dustin, Bau Broke
There is also a dead Rainelle Neengia something but she doesn't have any family tree.

I found Tricous in my game too. They are in pleasantview in my game. I didn't search for any living Tricou, but I found some six to eight dead Tricous. They are dead but their character files are valid, so I resurrected one of them using my lousily made custom item, and they even have a family tree~~. I haven't seen a living Tricou, so I have no idea what's going on the living ones and I don't know who they are and why they are in the neighborhood. I just found Jonathan Tricou is the father of Jenail something Tricou.

Right. I just test on Lothario's and Broke's for a couple of minutes, and then check if items are working, then quit. I repeat it everyday. But I am clearing several missions and battling hard in Call of Duty 2.

the store clerks at the Corner Shoppe (whatever it's called) in Downtown seemed to keep changing. I notice at least 3 plus different clerks. But it took me a while to notice, so I don't know if the game rotates between existing ones, or if it always tries to generate new ones. Can anyone clue me in? Thanks. Ste In case of maids, gardeners, and nannies, I guess the game cares about who worked there last time. But in case of other NPCs, I guess the game just picks one among the three readily made NPCs. I mean, random.
