hope the hackers that make us the objects to help it be more fun make things for this one too... two to work on ..... something to change the life time wants and buyable career objects.

Those hacks would most likely work in the game. Put them in and try. In any case, InSIM works, so you can change LTWs with that. What do you need the college clock for when THERE IS NO COLLEGE?

The things I dont like about the game is .. it dont fill up a screen

You can turn off windowed mode. It's under Options.

I only wanted to be able to use the clock for changing the life time want .. see I dont do alot of hacks . I actually try to play the games as is ... so I dont know of other hacks beside the clock that does this for me....  I am not computer oriented and dont know how to pull things out and what to push to make things larger or better ... thats why I come here to get answers ,, I did however put in the career object into collections and it worked fine..
Thank you for your tips ... I really appreciate it....

I went and got the game and paid the 40.00 .. its okay but just sims 2 with new people... it basically teaches you how to play sims in my opinion.. the graphics seem better and I do have to say it loads up alot faster..  so far I have worked the Riley story to its completion and all it does is drop out of the story line and you can continue to play it like it was an astablished neighborhood ... theres enough object to chose from but I miss having the buyable Career objects and I use the university clock all the time and im not sure if this game would take those two functions or not... is it worth the 40.oo ,, yeah i guess so but its really just sims 2 with a catchy new name. but its still sims and lets face it we are all sims crazy.. so we will buy it and its spin offs lolol and hope the hackers that make us the objects to help it be more fun make things for this one too... two to work on ..... something to change the life time wants and buyable career objects.  lololol

The things I dont like about the game is .. it dont fill up a screen ;  and you have to use your key board to move back and forth and side to side and find myself pushing keys I shouldnt.  so it makes you pause just to move around the screen .. so little clue dont make your house too big in this one or your lost lololol....

I tried to register the game but it wouldn't take it so I didnt get the welcome package yet..but I will keep trying...

Have fun fellow simmers ..

Brenda

I'm not sure who made the hack for buyable career rewards ,  and I hope someone here is familiar with that hack..
My problem is when I downloaded in pets , I can't seem to buy the object now.  they are still in my collections but are unplayable
does anyone know what I need to do to get these working again?

thank you simmiecal... Now I understand why the clock wont work... I will put it back in and then reboot my machine ,, I pray its there, I use it all the time to get my kids through college faster...  I also like to have a little fun while they are in college too... they dont have kids to worry about , or job , or skill levels and you can flirt yet without having your spouse crazy mad at you ,, lolol....

Thanks again,
Brenda

ok I will try putting it back into my game and try again.  I kept getting this saying that it was disabled and thought it was corrupting my game because I couldnt get one of my families to load , but discovered they still wont load even when the clock was taken out .. so maybe it is just that family that is corrupted ...
Thank you so much for the help.. I love the college clock and hated to lose it.  its about the only cheat I use and mostly use it for uni....

your help is much appriciated ,, ty

hi everyone,

Ok,   I just bought NL and installed it and I know somewhere in the site there is an answer to my problem but lord knows I looked and it has to be way back in the stack somewhere and cant find it...
The final Clock dont seem to work on nl... so is there anything usable for changing the LTW ... I hate some of them that pop up for the sims... and is there anything to stop the clock for the college sims so you have time to play with them a bit in college?

A fellow simmer says thank you so much for help.

11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / I have a problem on: 2005 September 09, 16:03:18
I have a problem with some of my lots and I believe this used to happen in just sims 2 and the patch was suppose to fix it but it is back again.
I started a new town because my other one was so glitchy it was impossible to play them anymore and I dont want to destroy it so when the patch or something is released I can play it again.

anyway,,,,, lolol... My household first had a burglar ,  and yes I had an alarm ,  but the police never showed up .. i seen one come into the scene then popped out like it was never there and the burglar got away with alot of my things.. so i just went out of that game without saving so I could save my things from being stolen... Then,, they had a fire and yes I have the alarm ,  again the fire department popped in and out within a eyeblink and no one came to put out the fire.. lost two of my sims trying to put it out... so again I left without saving so I could get my sims back....
Next I ordered groceries and the delivery man came in with a blink and left with a blink and my groceries were left on the other side of the street... new and different bugs each time I play and yet it seems to me these were happening in just sims2 and that was the reason for the 1st patch... Now this is a new town with hardly and any people in it yet... so its not over crowded ... any Ideas on whats going on ?  And which of the downloads I need to fix it maybe?

Your help is so much needed ,, thanks for any advice.....

12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So what is an overpopulated neighborhood anyway? on: 2005 August 18, 02:50:04
I'm currently playing Pleasantview and I have only one college for that town,  however my daughter plays Vernonville and she also only has one college for her town.  I dont think it matters how many you start up as I believe each area has its own count as to how many files is in that area.  I hope that sounded right ,, lololol....
I wasnt aware that your students after college could be sent to another neighborhood . I only thought they are sent back to the neighborhood they came from.   I have never been given a choice on which one they would go to from school or I would surely send some of mine to a new town.  it would be awesome to have another town with some of my people .  So if there is a way to do this please teach me ....

You all take care okay and have fun playing your sims.

Then I bring them back four at a time to the neighborhood... usually matched up with someone and ready for marriage.   lolol....it makes it easier and fun for me.... anyway... baristar and bartenders have disappeared on me. lololol..... help>HuhHuh

My Pleasantview has a count right now of 641 character files.  and from what I have assumed from the messages , that even if i was to not have anymore kids for my sims, and let the neighborhood come down in size by killing off some of my sims, then that wont help, cause thier folder would still be there.
So how can we bring down the folder size?   I just started this neighborhood again and Im finally at a point of getting past all the people that started the neighborhood.  the only ones still young are don, nina and dina, only cause I hate working them.
My families have grown though, isnt  this what the game was suppose to do is generation after generations...So people with families past the tenth generation, is that the only family that lives in that town?
There has to be a way of when a sim dies that the folder gets taken out.  Is there a way?  if not then I might as well not play anymore cause my neighborhoods are going to grow no matter what I do to it.

Just curious as to how far we can take a neighborhood.

take care,
Brenda

17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / about the college clock on: 2005 July 27, 05:11:53
I played with my sims with the college clock for the first time and its working great.. but I had a problem and I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem....
I sent my sim to take finals while the timer was frozen and he was a junior ,, of course he came back and still said final in progress so i sent him back ,, and repeated it til he graduated.. so I thought ok not a problem he is ready for being an adult .. but after his party when the van came to pick him up he didnt get in.. so i tried forcing him to go and nothing he wouldnt do it.. and his age meter said he was adult now.  so I though ok Ill save it and see if its another glitch and go back to the neighborhood to see if he was there and I had grey out .. and had to end task to get out of my game...  Is this a different glitch to the final exam bug or did I just hit a snag....
I hope you understand the senerio here lololol...
thanks for any help
