TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: No memories of adopting a stray?

Yup, I had the same. A family adopted a stray, and there were no memories, I don't remember if her want was satisfied or not, but I want to say not.
I was kind of surprised, because they usually go overkill on the cinematic specialness of every little thing. It was so anti-climatic. Bummer.

Please tell me if I am being too anal about the task I have set myself. Ever since migrating here from the BBS, I have been trying to make my game more Awesome.
lol, I'm sorry I don't have an answer for your actual question, but this makes me laugh. I thought the same thing when I started looking around here, and it became so consuming (thank you OCD!) that I burnt myself out. I now enjoy a flashes of "opps" here and there and don't let it bother me much anymore.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A question about deeds
|

My lady sim owned this shop and I had her call and sell it but when I looked in her inventory she still had the deed to it. And then when I had her buy another business when she got there and I looked in her information thing it said she owned two business. Is my game messed up or is this one of maxi stupid messes? I had this too. A sim bought store, played for a while. I had him sell it and buy it back so I could get his LTW done and over with. But when he bought it back, he had two deeds to the store. I had him transfer deed to his daughter later and only one deed passed to her, but I was a little afraid of having him die with the other deed in the inventory incase it would mess something up, so I put it in her inventory too. Is it okay to delete the "extra" deed? Or should I sell the business, delete all deeds and buy it back so I can figure out which is which. Or I'll just transfer to her kid and delete the extra.. I'm thinking outloud, but really what do I do.

Something about saving after calling for the headmaster that causes him to glitch. Also I on the lot debugger tool, there is a reset for the headmaster.
Try to reset with the debugger and then save then call the headmaster. Don't save again until he leaves.

If one of your sim parents is homozygous for a dominant gene (brown), the chance of getting green eyes on your spawn is zilch, although it may manifest in grandchildren.
Yea... "better chance" being that anything is greater than zero.

I do think sometimes the same thing. I love XMSims meshes, but the texture colors on the reds and the blonds sometimes aren't quite right. And usually someone has a more realistic recolor on MTS2 really quickly that I snatch up. Best of both worlds I think. I am particularly confused about the few people that make recolors of Maxis meshes and refuse to have them listed at other sites, or downloaded to the exchange *cough* as an example. I understand that there are some very complicated textures out there, but these are solid colors covering over other solid colors. I don't know, I shouldn't even say because I don't make anything myself (too lazy, Pescado ) but really. Anyways, before I get blacklisted from creaters yes I think that if you want to make something and share it, than share it already.

Hehe, jsalemi beat me to the punch. But yes, this is what I've done and although it doesn't guarantee green eyes, there's a better chance than when Charles would have both dominant and recessive brown eyes genes. edit to fix spelling mistakes.

It was kind of funny for the first few hours. Wife #1 and Husband #2 were the love birds while their spouses also hung out together. But they weren't so much in love as it was a love hate relationship. Wife #2 was extremely mean and continually tricked Husband #1 into playing punch you punch me and then giving him a good wack. Which was immediately followed by him crying and and her laughing just to do it all again.
Linda says to Theodore, "Congrats again, Theo. You are super fine!"
Kynia says to Joe, "Hey, wanna play punch you punch me again?"

Yes, the 3 bolt lovers are more annoying then cute anymore. In my hostel house, one wife died for following around someone who was not her husband all day and night, even sleeping in the same bed as him. Every five minutes she was congradulating him for being hot? Stupid sims.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: boolprop townie generators not working

Yes, I've had the reporter come even with no other sub-hoods attached. I have no problem knowing if it's going to be a reporter or not, because there's usually a short pause while he/she is being generated and then a new townie I've never seen before walks into the lot (and usually jots something negative down straight away because an idiot customer just kicked over my flamingo). That pause may be my computer which is barely to specs, but ah well.
One issue I've noticed however is I will have a reporter come, give a review or whatever, then that reporter becomes a normal townie and the next time a new reporter is needed the game will generate another. I've recently played in a test hood with 4 different home businesses and had 3 reporters generated within 2 sim weeks of game play. Sometimes the reporter will do a few reviews, and sometimes they'll come and jot some stuff in their notebook only to be replaced with another reporter the next time. It's weird.

Oooh I'm going to try this. My houses are boring squares, but they function! At least for me I also have FFS but I don't think, as others said, that it's a problem. It is known that all vaughje's suck, but maybe I'll blow yer socks off. But try to keep them on, K? Thanks.

even after uninstalling faminly fun there were still some stray files on my system. i only realized this after uninstalling everything normaly and trying to reinstall. the game would freeze after putting in university disk 2. i finally realized what the problem was after clearing the misc files from both my profile and my husbands (win XP).

I had a similar thing happen with a ticket machine at a home business. The owner left the shop open and went to get an alarm installed on his car. He left, and customers stayed, were still charged. Then I had him get a real job and go to work, same thing. Maybe it's because the owners in those types of lots really don't have to do much of anything unless they do have a dj booth or bar.

I had a similar problem with lots not loading due to some custom content on the lot. I had some stuff from Sims Connection and didn't read about the problems with OFB until I checked the site for updates. By chance are you using any of the pre-OFB stuff from that site in the lot? I think it was mostly due to alot of the objects were cloned from the grocery bin and since it was a new object the sims weren't able to buy grocerys from it even though they wanted too? I don't know.
