1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Obsessive Turn Off Computer on: 2006 April 15, 04:43:42
I often have the"8 other computers in the house but stupid Sim wants to use the only one is use , even when there's 2 free Computers in front of him" problem .
I'm starting to think the programers of this game are sadists Undecided

ETA:Stupid, stupid mistake. Wrote what's instead of wants.  Aack! That's it ,no more posting when I'm almost asleep
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Possible to make genie NPC? on: 2006 April 14, 03:49:46
I wasn't too thrilled with the genie from Sims 1 either. I kept getting the bad results. Sure wasn't too fun having all those roaches  that suddenly appeared after my Sim made a wish. I finally stopped using it altogether and just left it as a decoration.

Although having a genie in the game now would be great especially since I now use hacks. The only way I'd use a Genie is if I was assured to get a good result.
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: nervous subject on: 2006 April 14, 03:35:01
I don't see why your complaining, he looks really cute now. Of course that's not what you are asking. Grin
Anyway, I guess it happened because you reinstalled your game, somehow that look you gave him didn't transfer too well. Just make him change appearance again if you haven't tried before
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: It feels so quiet in here... on: 2006 April 09, 01:00:53
But isn't there some way to have it proven?
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: It feels so quiet in here... on: 2006 April 09, 00:51:53
Just in case if he wants the link to the article regarding  Network Ingress Filtering here's the link: http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2267.html.
This looks good, might help him find who the culprit is.

ETA: On second thought this might be out dated information. It looked real good was I was reading it half awake last night.  It was written in 1998!So..ah.. nevermind?
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: It feels so quiet in here... on: 2006 April 08, 23:51:47
Wow, I finally made it to this site. When I heard this site was under DNS attack I quickly googled it and spent most of the night reading up on it.
Hmm , I bet it's some brat who's doing this, who apparently has nothing better to do with their pathetic life then create a huge problem. It has to be a kid. From the information I read up on it it says anyone(mostly kids) can do it with the proper tools.Of course it can also be an act of revenge from an adult of course..........

I hope JM finds out who did this and reports him/her/it to the FBI and ISP.One article I read says they handle this. They can get jail time, loss of their internet and pay huge fines. That seems right for the crime Smiley
He can  also try to find the the creep himself using Ingress filtering( I read up on that too) but that looks difficult. Of course he knows what to do , so I'll just shut up Smiley
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Career Outfit on: 2006 April 02, 21:33:53
One of my Sims got that outfit when she turned into an adult. I quickly changed it
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Remote Income Decay on: 2006 April 02, 12:54:28
Horray, my puppie's safe. I'll try it today
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Mirror Mirror (Female Toddler edition) on: 2006 April 02, 11:52:23
Hmm so there's clues O.k I'm going to try to guesses who they are.

the first picture I think is Fred with the ponytail and jo is sitting next to her (Nene is sitting in her high chair so one of them one might be her. I picked them because they looked like their mothers

The last picture is I'm guessing is Marg? The only reason I"m picking this one is because you said you left clues and Marg is the only one in a crib as a toddler and there's a crib in that picture so I'm hoping that's a clue.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Mirror Mirror (Female Toddler edition) on: 2006 April 01, 23:00:53
My latest Sim who aged to YA and went to college, well, all I could do is stare... he's a grandson of Brandi Broke's third son, brown hair, light blue eyes, Knowledge Sim, extremely nice... sheesh I want to reinsert myself into the game...

I know, I have a 3rd generation Sim who's very goodlooking. I've never had a Sim before that was as goodlooking as him. I refuse to let him age. Pretty soon all his nieces and nephews  as well as their children will be older then him but I don't care, I'm keeping him.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Everyone in my 'hood will be wearing the hat! on: 2006 April 01, 14:58:58
lol Renatus, I do believe you're right
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Everyone in my 'hood will be wearing the hat! on: 2006 April 01, 14:43:22
I guess this is one of the things created that I will not be downloading. Are they kidding ? What kind of crap is that? They could have at least created a cute little easter bonnet or a cute easter rabbit sculpture.

Great,so now I gather we'll be seeing a whole new rash of stories featuring those new getups now Undecided

Please tell me it's a April fools joke
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Mirror Mirror (Female Toddler edition) on: 2006 April 01, 14:18:09
I voted Nene too. Actually , they might turn out attractive when they grow up. I had one family that had ugly looking toddlers(although not as ugly as those, sorry Grin) that turned out as they grew up to be very attractive.

Presently, currently I'm experiencing the reverse problem. Cute toddler/child/teen that grows up to be a hideously ugly adults with big(and I mean big folks, think Pinocchio )noses and deformed mouths.

I'd  also like to issue a warning regarding that teen townie Cassandra . Don't let her have kids! My poor Sim married her and created freaks, although they were normal looking while they were toddlers-teens  . All of his other siblings(huge family) married others had had normal/attractive offspring that grew up goodlooking. So it's  got to be her fault. She grew up really unattractive when she reached adulthood and I changed her through plastic surgery too, so it's also my fault for not seeing it

ETA: what Renatus said
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: MTS2 now MYL2 on: 2006 April 01, 13:30:35
No way!  Stupid people need to breed.  Who else will run the DMV and other civil customer service agencies?

I didn't so much find the whole llama thing funny, more just corny-cute.  The posts where people actually took it seriously (and angrily) were hilarious though!
I second that! I thought it was great. Who in their right mind would not realize after two seconds that it was a joke?  Roll Eyes

I agree, it's amazing how some people don't get it. I skipped to the 3rd and 4th page and I noted a few posters were still complaining about the new name. I guess they don't read the replies, because it was stated again and again it's a joke. What's wrong with them?
I was half awake ( I could barely keep my eyes open when I read it) and I still got it after a few seconds. I have yet to read the whole thing, it's too long

ETA: I see there's a thanks button now, and a new it's broke section. Hmm.... someone's been busy
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: MTS2 now MYL2 on: 2006 April 01, 04:17:05
Wow, at first when I saw that I thought "what the heck? What a crappy new name". Thank god it's a April fools joke. I thought Delph went crazy for a moment because in the time zone I live(as many as you do too) in it's still March 31. I didn't read much of the thread so I guess I will now.
Great joke Cheesy
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Leave My Shop!!! on: 2006 March 31, 22:57:49
I have yet to have any customer buy anything at all so I'd just be happy if any of my customers bought at least something.
All they ever do is look and be shown around. Then of course after they look they hang around like they're home and use my Sims house like it's theirs. I'm really starting to hate them Angry
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Handy object for toddlers on: 2006 March 31, 03:08:46
This is great, thanks. Horray! now I don't have have to bother putting the toddlers in the crib anymore. I love the idea that they  can sleep on the floor and put themselves to bed. Saves me buying cribs too. I'll just put the mat next one of their toys so when they're tired they  can just fall asleep and I won't have to listen to them whine that they're tired anymore Grin
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Flying pig on: 2006 March 31, 00:48:51
It would also presumably reduce the number of Sims in the family even more (bad enough that Servo does it) and as the mod I had to allow more than 8 members isn't working since OFB, this would be a VERY BAD THING in my book.

Hmm, I had the vamp household with 11 members but don't think I've tried to make more sim babies since OFB. Dammit, I like that hack.

It still works great in my game with OFB. I currently have a family of 24(huge house) and growing larger by the day.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: i hate my customers, *why?* on: 2006 March 25, 15:03:11
Also make sure you greet your customers and show them around the items you want them to buy. I make sure my customers are attended too and I have loads of loyal customers. When you ignore them they complain to you. This way seems to be the only way to make your rank go up, for me at least
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How is the new OFB patch working for everyone? on: 2006 March 24, 04:46:36
As for resetting my Sims I have no idea. Forgetting I had  installed the patch I had decided to move one of my Sim families to another house (to the house created by BlueSoup, thanks again Blue my Sims love it!) so I wouldn't have noticed it anyway since they all reset when you do that.

I'm glad you like it.  I've been thinking of going on another building spree.  Smiley

Great , keep them coming. now that I have that hack that allows you have familes larging then 8 per household, I 'm addicted to having very Large families.  That family I moved into you house has 16 members and growing. I could of course create my own but all my houses come out looking ugly. I'm not kidding,  I have no talent for building like you do. So I don't even go out and try to build them anymore. However, if you are ever in the need for a really fugly looking house, please feel free to ask me for one of mine Cheesy
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How is the new OFB patch working for everyone? on: 2006 March 24, 03:05:37
I installed the patch, and I'm very frustrated with the results.  Prior to downloading the patch, I could delete just about anything (in the game) from recolors of Maxis items or custom content. Now, after installing the patch, I can't delete anything. I've been to the BBS, to no avail.  I sent a message to Maxis, and they replied with  a lame excuse.  I've had it!!!! I'm uninstalling OFB, and I'm going to re-install the game without the patch.  Is there anyone else having this particular problem?

i have this problem as well - no longer able to delete recolours for custom content or maxis made crap. others are reporting this problem over at bellamobilia and a few other forums too.   this is a seriously annoying turn of events, in that i need to house clean my downloads regularly and doing it in-game is neccessary.  i guess i will have to unistall, i don't feel confident in relying on maxis to fix this.  this is definitely the last time i install a patch without first waiting a few weeks to find out what new problems crop up !

Wow I hadn't noticed that problem but then again I didn't try deleting anything. I downloaded the patch with all my hacks  and so far have experienced nothing bad. I hadn't had any bugs occur in my game but I downloaded the patch anyway to be on the safe side..

As for resetting my Sims I have no idea. Forgetting I had  installed the patch I had decided to move one of my Sim families to another house (to the house created by BlueSoup, thanks again Blue my Sims love it!) so I wouldn't have noticed it anyway since they all reset when you do that.

It's kind of funny that the patch fixes the social bunny kill. Was there a problem with that ,that I wasn't aware of? I had yet come across anyone mentioning it, oh well guess I'm  worldly enough, I don't visit the BBS. They're the type that would seek out and do that sort of thing  Undecided
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New Maxis "Runs With Scissors" Object update for OFB on: 2006 March 23, 21:43:45
So that was what was up with it. First time I ever used it was last week when I was trying something new with a family tree  which didn't work, long story,  anyhoo, I had all these elders I wanted to dispose of quickly so I decided to try the running with scissors way to kill them off but it didn't do anything. They just picked them up and the scissors disappeared. I was like"what the...". I couldn't understand why they didn't at least run with them a little.
So now I know.
Thanks for the link, I try it again to see if it works this time
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Let me be the first on: 2006 March 22, 04:28:54
I'm just glad it wasn't housecleaning of 'lurkers'. I've been dumped off of more than one forum for that.

Really?  You got banned from a site for just lurking? How horrible
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Major Maxis Slipup on: 2006 March 18, 04:47:46
You know, I've been reading a back and forth battle between analysts claiming that the video game industry is on the decline, but they obviously aren't taking the Sims players into these facts, it seems like a large percent of them will buy anything with a Sims logo on it..
And this isn't an obvious sign that the people who claim it is in decline is right?

Great comeback J.M  Cheesy. Although I'm sure the BBS sheep will disagree

ETA:jfade : I think J.M is referring to the mentality of the gaming community i.e. the BBS sheep  Grin
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Insanity Continues - More Firefighter Troubles on: 2006 March 18, 04:38:22
Wait that's it, sorry about that. I got it wrong. My brains a little tired tonight and I got things mixed up, opps Embarrassed. I believe J.M.s debugger is what you should use
