1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Gaining skill points - the dating way! on: 2005 November 07, 19:30:26
I've also had a couple of Sims get a free cleaning skill point with their dates. I've also had someone get a promotion because of a good outing they went out on.

Now my question is: Has anyone gotten any other skill areas besides cleaning? From everything I've read and experienced, I can only verify that cleaning skill points can be earned.

So here are some pics of Pascal's grandchildren:

The first two are Xander and Willow, the twin children of Nervous Subject and Scully (Pascal's alien daughter).
The next two pics are Lyla and Leelo, twins of  Kristen Singles and Zoidberg (Pascal's alien son).

Well, if you didn't know you had it, there's nothing to be embarrassed about!

Thanks Zephyr!  Smiley

I should have checked my downloads folder prior to posting about it....

...but I'm glad I know the reason now!

If you want your accounts closed @ VS, just change your avatar to a butt or something gross lol and get banned.

Don't you mean a "server"? Tongue Sorry, I couldn't resist. I suspect we'll be beating that old joke to death for some time to come.

Damn! You beat me to it. I was about to post the exact same thing!
And I am very glad I never signed up for membership at VS (I tend to lurk for a long time prior to actual posting).

I believe everybody has a right to their own opinion and is free to believe that opinion forever (even if it's wrong) but I don't believe that people should go around blaming others for their actions. I would have more respect (not much but some) for Rentechd if she came out and said that she intends to force her own reality on her site and here are the rules everyone must follow. Instead, she's just crazy and not helping people who are just looking for help with their game (isn't that what the site should have been about?)

Ya - Kristen, that's it. I have no idea why I was thinking it started with a T  Huh.

And I swear that your Pascal's granddaughter looks just as bad as mine!

I actually got Nervous together with Pascal's alien daughter, Scully (green alien with the original Poll Tech). They have a boy-girl twin set (named them Xander and Willow) in the children stage right now which are the ugliest children ever! If I wasn't at work, I'd upload some pics. I am now afraid to let them have any more children. Especially since I have way too many Curious family members running around in Strangetown already.

As for Pascal, he is about 2 days away from passing away in my game. He never got married but did fall in love with what's her name, the brunette Singles girl (it starts with a T). Unfortunately, she fell in love with Pascal's other alien child, Zoidberg (who's a senior in Uni right now). They now have a set of green-skinned twins that actually look like they might be cute (in the toddler stage right now).

They don’t have a home or a phone, they just wander aimlessly I suppose.

I can just see it now....roving packs of townies, bereft of any creature comforts (such as cell phones and computers), living underneath that crashed alien spaceship (or maybe the water tower).

Without the Yummy Channel to keep them happy, their only amusement comes from visiting downtown and picking random fights with my Sims.

You know, this explains the townies bad clothes and mean dispositions.

So I went digging through my downloads folder and loo and behold I found twojeffs "serve everyone" hack in there.

So that explains my weird food servings. Just color me embarrassed!

I'd just like to add in my happiness that you have come over here.

Welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay!

So I was playing a Uni house last night and noticed several things when I told a Sim to "Serve Food":

1. Several Sims were over, bringing the total number of sims in the house at 12. The Sim told to serve food proceeded to set out 9 settings of chili con carne from 1 serve food command with nothing left over on the serving plate.

2. Later, only four of the five Sims that live in the house were present. The Sim told to serve food served 4 servings of omlettes, with nothing left over on the serving plate.

Now, I forgot to see if I have any hacks in regarding food (I don't think I do but I've been wrong before) so that could be why this is happening. I also haven't checked any other houses yet.

And just FYI, I have a patched NL game. This isn't something I necessarily am looking for a fix for, more of an observation since I got NL and patched because I know this wasn't happening before.

Is it just me but I swear that since NL my Sims are a little smarter than before about serving food. I have noticed that if a Sim is told to serve a meal, they only make enough meals for people who are on the lot.

This means if Dad starts making dinner before Mom gets home, only him and the 2 kids get plates of food. I've also noticed it when I have Uni students serving food - they don't count anybody who is at class.

So maybe Maxis is moving in the right direction but I definitely need to get one of the above hacks so I can pick the number of meals served - I mean if a Sim is going to be home soon, I'd rather have a meal waiting for them rather than have them then cook themselves.
