1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How many Sims are you playing? on: 2005 November 10, 14:07:26
I play a lot of my games in fast forward mode as well...I dunno how many other people do that.

I know when my fiance occassionaly tinkers with TS2 he plays in normal speed and I'll walk by and be like "You can speed that up you know"  and he'll see no reason to and likes to see the little interactions..while I'm zooming through life spans.

Ditto that. My husband also plays in normal speed whilst I'm going at fast or ultra. I always start out with the intention of going slow, enjoying the little details of a sim's life, but it's usually when they're skilling for a promotion that the fast playing starts. Then I'm zipping through pregnancies, dates, university, until the game is almost always on ultra speed. And that's when I stop playing because it's so boring. The objective has become "get as rich and skilled as possible, as soon as possible" and that's not fun for me. I sabatoge my own enjoyment. Undecided

Holy shit, she's really gone over the deep end! Shocked

This is so pathetic and ridiculous. Have they no shame? Undecided

I'm so sorry, Missdoh. I had to put my 16 year old cat to sleep and it was the hardest, most painful thing I've ever done. You're in my thoughts.

BTW, my husband has taken to referring to making love as "woo hoo."

So does mine. Cheesy

I have the patch and I was able to kill with this hack everyone ran over and cried when Komi bit the dustat the bowling alley

Ditto that, I have the patch and was able to kill.

I've been using this one for a while, too. It's quite fun. I'm just disappointed you can't kill the townies on the downtown lots, but oh well, I'll just summon them into the lair instead.

I was able to kill on downtown lots. Everyone on the lot ran over and cried as Goopy died. Grin

I just double-checked and apparently the vampire doesn't get days of life added or subtracted when they suck blood. They instead have the option to give their victim 3 days of life back. If they do, the relationship between vampire and victim increases. If they don't, it decreases.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Vampire hack of death on: 2005 October 30, 01:46:44
Playing a vampire can get boring after awhile and I think this hack really spices things up. It allows vampires to do more than turn other sims into vampires via biting. You can bite, with two sub-options of turn and kill, or suck blood with the option of adding 3 days to your life. There aren't any new animations so it will always look like you're turning, but I'm not complaining. Relationship status isn't taken into account so you can chomp on whomever you please, although my vampire became enemies with -100/-100 after giving a townie the "bite of death".

Bleh!

I don't remember what my first computer was because I was 5 years old. All I know is I spent a lot of time playing some DOS games called Buzzard Bait and Jumpman. A few years later, I got Windows 95 and an internet connection as a birthday present. I spent most of my time designing and updating a web site for a horse club I found on AOL. I wasn't too interested in playing games because we had both a Sega and a Nintendo by then. I don't think I got into the Sims and PC gaming until I was in college. I annoyed my roommate by staying up until all hours playing Drakan: Order of the Flame. Cheesy

LOL no, we eventually voice chatted and then talked on the phone. Tongue

When it gets down to just the two of you, the other person isn't always the same as on the chat/forum.

Very true, but it was a good thing in my case. I met my husband on IRC, in a channel for Neverwinter Nights. He was what I call a "jackass", constantly teasing and mocking everyone. I was attracted to that type of personality (and his English accent) and he was attracted to mine, so we decided to meet. Thankfully, his rudeness was just a façade and I found a sweet and romantic man underneath. Few months later, we were married and I moved to England. I got him into the Sims just last week when his computer broke and there was nothing to play but my games, bwahaha! It was that or Baldur's Gate and he was having none of the 2D animation, so Sims it was. He loves telling me what his elven romance sim has been up to--mainly shagging everything in sight. Tongue

My best friend could care less about my Sims, but her daughters and I swap stories all the time. Her daughters are 9 and 13.

That's why I have more in common with my 15 year old sister-in-law that anyone my own age. She bought me Makin' Magic for my birthday! Wink
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What a waste of food! on: 2005 October 26, 20:28:36
You're not the only one. I wish you could "serve dinner for 4" or something so you don't throw food and money down the drain.
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Another deleted goodbye on: 2005 October 26, 20:22:08
I still can't believe these people are adults--and older than me, no less. Criminy.

Those J-names are catchy, aren't they?

My legacy heir is named Jaden. Smiley
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: If EA releases another party pack what would it have to have for you to buy on: 2005 October 25, 21:23:32
I'm sorry, but I am sick to death of 99.99999999% of custom pants hanging all the way down off a sims ass (and thereby not lining up with a good portion of shirts available).

No no no, that's not what I meant. I mean a waistline only slightly below the navel--providing complete arse coverage. Tongue
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: If EA releases another party pack what would it have to have for you to buy on: 2005 October 25, 19:32:39
Some of the University and NL stuff is a little less dull, but then a lot of that they took to the other extreme and made totally tacky.

I kept hearing how there would be great new clothing options in NL, especially attractive jeans for women. I buy NL and finally see these supposedly attractive jeans--the waistline is practically up to the sim's neck, they're at least 2 sizes too big and look vaguely like bellbottoms. I was hoping for low-rise, fitted jeans, not something my mum probably wore when she was 18. Undecided

Hahaha..that thing is going to be in my nightmares now!

Ditto! Shocked

The whole concept of expansion and booster packs makes me angry because I'm paying for things that could've or should've been in the base game, and more often than not, the additional content doesn't justify the price. I don't like the way the Sims, in particular, has a new expansion every 6 months, whether the previous ones are riddled with bugs or not, and now they're throwing together some Christmas rubbish and trying to sell it to me for $20? No, I'm not buying it, and there's no way I'd ever buy a booster pack because, goddamnit, it should be packaged into the next expansion. I'd still be angry, but at least I'll buy their bloody expansions.

Sweet mother of mercy...
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: save the trees? on: 2005 October 24, 11:51:05
hee hee  imagine what a problem the phone is after you boolproped your way into 49 friends....aaauugh!!!  I had 20 popups saying so and so isnt friends with you anymore...ah waahh!! i was just using them for my foul purposes anyway.

Just having 13 friends is driving me nuts, with the phone ringing off the hook and people calling to insult my sims--"can't you even make an effort?" Well, I tried calling 5 seconds ago but YOU WEREN'T HOME!

I think my brain would literally explode if I had 49 friends.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: http://Link Blocked By Linked Site/ on: 2005 October 24, 11:45:40
I don't think she edited any individual posts, I think she did something so that the entire site blocks any mention of the domain name here retroactively on all messages both public and private.

I ask again, isn't she supposed to be an adult? Honestly! Roll Eyes
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Just wanted to share a bit of my amusement on: 2005 October 24, 11:35:14

Okay, yeah, that's creepy.
