I got a chance to look at that mod and decrapping most likely won't help. Try asking the mods creator, I don't do DLL stuff. That being said, I'd have no idea where to even start
You can't be serious. You're here asking about decrapped items and you're going to tell me you don't know what I'm talking about when I say decrap the mod? This is why MATY is so MEEN! I meant I wouldn't have any idea how to decrap an package file, not the terminology.

I have NO CUSTOM CONTENT, and I have tried EVERY lot in sunset valley. I have uninstalled and reintalled the game manually and made sure everything was gone 5 times. Thank for being so polite and kind to me And just to clarify MY GAME IS VANILLA. I have been playing the sims games from the very first day TS1 was releases.

Thanks for the response, I have tried pretty much every family in all the hoods I have.... I have erased my saves and started over atleast 5 times in the past 3 days. I have also replaced the fridge in buy mode and it still doesn't fix it.... The new fridge is as b0rked as the previous one.... I am willing to try anything to fix this issue.

OK, so let me start off... I have The Sims 3 base newest patch, and Ambitions newest patch. My game works fine with base game *with newest base game patch* no issues at all. I added Ambitions *any ambitions patch* and ANY fridge I click on, or my sims got to autonomously, my game will crash straight back to windows. I have manually uninstalled both the base and Ambitions, and reinstalled and still no dice, I disabled my DEP in windows 7 and that didn't fix it, I also ran the CFF Explorer to "allow" the game to use more then 2gb of ram... still no dice... I also ran LAA and also did not work. Seems like I am up shit creek without a paddle. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I was messing around in 0.64 and I got it to work, I had to go to the window tab and click on "Object Workshop so it was deactivated, then click on it again and it worked, I don't remember doing that before tho... That was for QA and Your release I had to do that... EDIT: Since I did that it works the normal way Rich

Thanks for this Inge! I seem to be having a problem getting object workshop to open, I click it and nothing happends, But the teen style stuff objects are in wizards of simpe which I always use anyway. Slight off topic, Is there anyway to recolor the black EAxis phone that came w/ Pets? Thanks alot Inge and Peter Rich

the game doesn't NEED them thats just maxis design... I ban them anyway... I like to play them, but I don't use them for the majors.... I just don't want my game to have 100 prof's...
the question is, is this hard coded into the game or is it hackable... and something that can be modded, since obviously it decided that it wants 2 profs per major.

I just finnished doing what you guys before coming back to read it ... It generated 24 professors without custom majors and 84 with custom majors 2 per custom major. It seems to be added 2 per custom major, but I'm sure it didn't do that before OFB, I married or moved in a bunch of them... before OFB/pets I had around 38-40 *still with all my majors*... So pretty much tried everything to get this straightened out... Rich

First of all, they are Majors, not careers, they require University so they are ep ready which means they work with all eps... uni and up...
This is a game issue of some kind... I cannot be the only person to have this issue, and its not like I twisted anyones arm demanding a hack I simply was asking if it could be done, no reason to get all pissy...
I am not crying to anyone I am trying to find a solution because I like custom majors... all my majors match my careers...
When I add new careers the game does not make new drivers or any other NPC related to the jobs... it's only Professors being generated with each major that I add.

This has only been happening since ofb or pets... not sure which
I've had these majors for awhile, and it never created new prof's till ofb or pets...
It also didn't create new prof's if I added a major or 5... only now is it doing that.
EDIT: Can any hackers look into this?... maybe find a solution so it doesn't make 2 prof's per custom major.... any help would be appreciated

I'm really hoping someone can assist me with this problem.... I brought this up before but there still is no solution, it makes no sense that the attached neighborhood colleges generates over 100 professors to me 50+ majors when in the past when I played my single neighborhood with the same amount of majors, I only got around 40 professors. Granted thats more professors than you get with maxis professors only, but, It's still the same amount of majors, more colleges less professors. This indicates that the game is not generating 2 professors per major, but that the ratio is professors to neighborhood, the amount of professers that generated in my game is related to the 4 attached neighborhoods not the majors. I have Pescado's antiredundancy and no townieregen and the cleaned up uni template... Can anyone tell me what would cause this to happen, and/or tell me how to fix it... As I like using custom majors Thanks for your time Rich
