TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / 215 Sim Lane

TS4 is just around the corner, which means TS2 is now charmingly retro, right? I'm sure hipster types like jeromycraig are playing it again. Anyway, recently in my dotage, I've come over all nostalgic, and have been rebuilding TS2 lots in Sunset Valley. I thought others might be interested. Sure, it's been done before, but has it been done by a woozel? Niet. Exactly. This is the Pleasant's house from Pleasantview, remade for TS3. No CC, 30x30 lot. Fully furnished, in the essence if not the exact style of the original. Download here.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Converting Late Night apartments to regular houses

In the eyes of the game though, they are the same thing. Your question doesn't make sense. House = Apartment, Apartment = House
Except, playing an apartment does affect the game in other ways. Non-playables can become "stuck" in the non-accessible rooms, causing moar lag. Also, unless you download a fix, apartments have a weird effect on the in-game camera, causing it to be a right pain in the arse for photo-taking etc.

Oh, pipe down, Wojtek. jordi fills the "exceedingly homophobic and also definitely NOT gay in any way, shape or form, no siree" gap here at MATY, we don't need another one.

Awesim's worlds are fabulous to look at, and there's so much attention to detail. Unfortunately, the size of the maps and all that detailed loveliness results in worlds which require top-notch systems to play without lag. On the flipside, I've been building up this tiny island from scratch. If you don't like a uniform layout, building or small lot sizes, it's not the world for you. I'm enjoying the challenge myself, and the world isn't so tiny as to be unplayable long term.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: CC not showing up anymore (Mac OS X)

I had a problem with cc not working all of a sudden. Although I can't for the life of me remember how I got it all working again, which makes me of very little use, I'm sorry. Have you checked your info.plist is all in good working order? I know it's probably basic stuff you've already done, but try replacing your resource.cfg, deleting caches, loading without cc and then adding it back in incrementally. I swear with Macs half the time it's witchcraft and crossed fingers.

Plus, you know, Butters, it's all relative really. As an example, teens in the game can drive, but they cannot woohoo. In the UK, it's legal to have sex at 16, but you cannot drive until you're 17. So, from a Brit's perspective, why shouldn't the teens have sex if they can drive? Having said that, I don't use the teen-adult interactions myself, I'm just saying that not everyone approaches this issue from such a US-centric viewpoint. Plus, it's just an option, it doesn't mean you have to use it or agree with it.

Some of it could be cute in the right context, a kids room, a themed kids park maybe. I don't really use the theme stuff that often, except to give Sooze the Vegas Living furnishings, since she likes them so much. Even the hairs aren't that great.
I wish EA would do a Shopping pack, like ofb. I'd pay for that because it opens up so much gameplay. For $10 more than a stuff back, it better include new gameplay / animations, not just shitty cake and candy furniture.
I just noticed this! Crafty mushroom, Imma shake my fist at you!

Ok, I have often wondered this. Why are pre-decrapified files such a bad thing? Surely it just means someone has done the work of decrapifying for you, so you don't have to?
Basically it's because of the possibility that Pescado may need to update decrapify/s3rc at some point. For example, stairs, fences, fireplaces and counters were all not working properly with an older version of decrapify (which was admittedly a long time ago). Now they work fine, but people who are using sims3packs that were decrapped before the update will still have problems. Of course, the other problem is that it's not quite obvious whether an item has been decrapped or re-compressed by just glancing at the sims3pack. If you run an untouched sims3packs through de-crapify yourself, you know exactly what has been done to the files. Ah ok. So it's not like it will asplode your game then, it's just sensible to control the process yourself. Thanks for the explanation, I don't pay much attention to it all myself, as I can't even use decrapified sims3packs any more, just packages which I guess are decrapped etc.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / More Awful Than You: 'The Clothes Maketh the Fug' Edition.

Time for another More Awful Than You, I reckons. This time round we're going for clothing. Now, I could ease us into it with a mediocre offering to start off, but this latest offering from Prada Sims is just too good to miss. I urge you to click the link, because honestly, the preview images are a cornucopia of EWW. Bonus points for dynamic presentation of otherwise mundanely rubbish clothing. I'm guessing the random nekkid ladies are there to distract us from the craptastic outfit, but ole Melty Legs ain't fooling no one. Actually, scrap that, I am awarding triple bonus points for freaky boob/bum kaleidoscope.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Sooze's Lots
|

I've been fiddling about in an empty Riverview, building up a city from scratch. I thought I might share some of the lots I've made for the hood. Most of the houses are unfurnished, to avoid clogging up the lots with too much CC, and anyway, half the fun is in the decorating. If you're really desperate for the furnished versions I use in my own game, I can always export them too. Anyway, here's a first offering, Elvedon Close. This is a modern starter home, no cc, no furnishings. Apologies to jezzer and other hipster-allergic types for the over-edited shots, I was mucking around in .gimp but don't have the originals any more. Download the lot here.
