Thanks for answering If it can be done, that's great (my husband actually wanted it), if not, don't worry about it! We both appreciate all the hard work done on these mods, and having modded for a different game myself, I know how hard it can be!

I was trying to install this, and the second part gave an error. I did try redownloading, got the same one.
Extracting N001\Lots\N001_Lot124.package Error: CRC mismatch in file "N001\Lots\N001_Lot124.package" in the archive "C:\Users\Public\Downloads\sims\Cleanerhood_Final.part2.rar"
Help, please?

I also got that "the game wasn't meant for a laptop" when I emailed with customer service. My response was that it worked great till I got GL, and other games I have on it run perfectly! I think I'll just go with the making sure it's level and that the cooling is working properly I was looking at the manual for my laptop and it looks as if I *can* replace things in it, but that's going to have to wait for a while Thank you, everyone!

I do have a chill pad, actually I was worried about the heat thing I'd read about. I just thought you could replace graphic cards in the things *frowns* I did think it was level, but I'll double-check that I know the safe mode thing was weird. It started with Glamour Life, I couldn't install it, and someone suggested that I try Safe Mode, and that worked.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Graphics problem, I think
|

I have tried searching the board, honest!
I have an HP Pavilion ZV6100 with AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+, a gig of memory laptop, and an ATI Mobility Radeon Xpress 200 Series graphics card. My drivers are all up to date.
First off, I had to trick the Sims into installing by using safe mode. The game does run, however during gameplay the screen will go blue for 10 to 15 seconds and then back to the game. It's more annoying than anything else. I do play WoW and there are no problems with that, and no problems with Oblivion.
And I plead guilty to being a custom content/hack addict. I removed 694 megs of custom stuff last night, and managed with only one blue screen in an hour, in a family of three with two dogs.
My question is, should I upgrade my graphics card, memory, something else?
Thanks!

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / I just had to share this

Normally I'm a lurker, and just enjoy watching what's going on, but when this happened in my game, I just had to share it with y'all. Talk about eyes in the back of your head! I'd been on the other side of the lot and I guess I paused just as this gal was turning, she did straighten out once I unpaused the game

I'm glad you brought this up because you know the silly Maxis Bunny(Teddy)Bear? MIA since installing OFB. I would have thought I had imagined it but my daughter commented on the fact that it was gone also. I have the exact opposite. I have the damned Maxis one and can't find it to get rid of it so I can use the Numenor one *sighs*
