TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Hostile Play Environment

I know I'm going to get all kinds of backlash from this, but I must speak out. I'm not angry, just a little surprised by this forum sometimes. Why do some people have to be so negative and insulting whenever someone needs help? Especially when it comes to legitimate concerns about installing this program. For a newbie to come in and try to install Awesome from the download page with NO INFORMATION about whether it's been updated, how would he know why it wasn't working? He could spend a few hours reading the forum for answers but what would he find? Talk of an update, a hint of a test mod, and many statements that the download link on the download page is ALWAYS the most recent update.
Besides, you can berate someone without calling them names and making them feel like the scum of the earth.
Just sayin'.
Furthermore, don't forget that all you superior intellectuals are playing a game where you pretend to have a life.
Are you new to the internet or just bored? Answering "both" is ok.

Is it necessary to use the launcher to patch Medieval or will that activate Evil SecuRom?
I got my patch off TPB, no problems. HOWEVER, once I installed it, patching took away the ability to open the options menu, as I believe has been well-documented here.

"When a Mod Becomes a Sod"? Wow, someone suckled at the creative teat all night to come up with that one.
I am seeing abuses of the English language over there that normally I would just P&L at, but it kind of looks like the word salad brought about by an undiagnosed stroke.

(Or as a very odd man I once met at a party told me -- after showing me his portfolio of photographs of naked women covered in melted wax -- "Nobody out there was making porn for my fetishes, so I had to learn how to do it myself.")
That's Dan Savage's advice as well. Someone called into his podcast recently wanting macabre lady clown porn and he said it was the caller's duty to make it and put it on the internet.

Thanks to those who supported me. I was pretty close to deleting my account on these forums and contribute somewhere else. @Ambular; Do you have any more general ideas? I'm not really looking into too many specific things, such as fixing specific textures, etc. I'm looking to work on things more like no delays for the timers in the game, or adding a way to skip screens straight to the Create-a-Sim screen, etc. If anyone could add more general (not specific)requests, I'll definitely look into those. If you have any specific requests, if they are productive and efficient to other users, I'll look into those, as well! Thanks! If you find the atmosphere here too toxic (and you'd hardly be the first!)

How about some freaky mod like 'Blow the candles'...only it aint a candle! And maybe put it in 'Friendly' actions so it could be for 'friends with benefits' kind of sim relationships. And if your sim blows out your bosses candle, your sim gets a raise and a promotion. Or... whatever tickles your fancy. Thank you! Finally a contribution to the thread. I was just wondering, are there any delays or timers in this game?I know you have to wait a few days to grow things, etc... are there any mods available that take away those delays/timers? If not, I can look into those. Um. Did you just pick a game at random to start modding for? Call me cray-cray, but I think most people really wait until they understand how the game works or read up on it before they start modding for it.

Yes, it's purely flavor text (no pun intended.) Which, on the one hand, is fairly pointless as you say, but on the other hand makes it extremely simple to change.
That simplicity is exactly why I got carried away writing a mod that adds seventyeleven million flavours of coffee in the first place. I'm glad you came up with a saner alternative. Hope you don't mind me using yours as a base! I wouldn't even have thought of it if I hadn't seen yours. BUT HONESTLY MONICA

I'm not faulting you or trying to be a smartass or anything, don't get me wrong. I just think it's funny.
I'm not faulting you or calling you a dumbass or anything, but a lot of people don't trust you as a source of information. See also: ZephyrZodiac. I don't think this is funny. Wait, yes I do. This topic will be more searchable now by people who don't know the cheat code, and do know jessllama as a credible source, which is useful. And more people have come in with additional information. WHY, it's a discussion topic now.
