TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Tara Kat, where art thou?

So, I decided I wanted to start Pleasentview over again now that all the expansions are out and most things fixed by hacks. I installed the base game, did the starting scenarios (doing them after installing expansions messed them up), then installed all the expansions. All the sim bin families are there, but the 2 occupied house families (Kat and Kim) are MIA. Is there a way to get them back (and is it safe? I know that packaging a family in a house is a bad thing). Are the files somewhere on the Pets discs? Do I have to (sigh) uninstall most of the expansions, put my backup NH in and open it up with only Pets and below?
Thanks!

Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Unofficial OFB Patch - Merge Of Several Older Fixes + New Stuff

I'm pretty sure that the full list of mods made obsolete by this fix are robotrestockfix.package, remotebusinessfix.package, waiterfix.package, ofbminifixes.package, noghostelevatorlag.package, missingmanagerfix.package, bandatronmovefix.package, and antibagthrow.package. If anyone is aware of one that I've missed please correct me.
Are those old fixes, except the antibagthrow, stored anywhere on MATY? I can't live without my SW playables don't go broke. I like seeing my playables shop but I don't want, say, Brandi Broke to blow her few simoleans on crap, thus making her children starve.

Of course there's no fix for the "craft badges taking a month to earn a friggin bronze", AKA the one thing I haven't been able to find a hack to fix. ARG!! But at least the CREDITS are fixed! oh my that was terrible!

It doesn't take it away, it just makes it personality-based.
It restricts it based on personality, thus taking it away for a good many sims. I don't like being restricted or nannied with my hacks. Personal preference.

CBOY_EatMoreTalkLess.package still works, and I love it. It makes me crazy when my sims spend an hour eating a poptart. noeatcrap doesn't help near as much. OTOH, I really don't mind the occasional bout of food poisoning, so there you go.
Hey could I get a copy of that? I don't want noeatcrap because I don't like hacks that take away the possibility of making stupid mistakes.

A sim with the OTH of fitness who looses fun when he exercises sucks!
See now, I like that, it makes sense. Why would a lazy ass find exercising fun? Sims should get enjoyment out of certain things, depending on their personality, and to find other activities boring. Yes, but why would a sim with a low active score have fitness as his OTH? He doesn't even LIKE exercising! Unless he just likes to suffer. Stupid sim.

Did EAxis break the grand piano, or is it my game? After installing Freetime the regular piano provides fun as usual, but all my sims with grand pianos are losing fun when they play. The grand piano was working fine before.
I haven't gotten to test that yet, but I have noticed that all the exercise objects (treadmill, weight machines, that new bike) aren't raising fun like they're supposed to. Has anyone else noticed this? eta: For me both pianos are giving fun when played. Sorry eta again: Ok, I tested in another house and high active sims DO get fun, while the low active (only 2) sim's fun bar just stopped where it was. But in the house with slightly lesser low active (4 bars) they loose fun on the same machines.. wtf? Am I just an idiot who's missing something obvious? I know active sims like exercise more, but I thought that an object that actually has fun points listed gave at least some fun to all users. A sim with the OTH of fitness who looses fun when he exercises sucks!

I have the same problem with dates. I tested it on a Vanilla game no hacks no CC too. I gave up and just had the dates come to the house then call the cab. I've got Vista and a dual core. I'll have to try the speed changing tactic.

haven't seen this one yet... My elder knowledge bigfoot, who finished his lifetime want pre FT, and selected a grilled cheese "secondary" (HA! more like completely overwrote his aspiration) died and left a platinum grave... a platinum ROMANCE grave. How mighty peculiar. Yea. Well after some testing it seems it's not any of my hacks. If I give him a secondary aspiration he always leaves a romance grave. No secondary leave a correct knowledge grave. How irritating. edit: I've found one other person reporting the same problem on the BBS

I've got awesomes and some TwoJeffs hacks, didn't save, and am going to try again *shudder* hackless.

curiouser and curiouser: I just did a complete reinstall of everything up to GLS (no pets or newer) and I have the same problem. Did Maxis decide teens and adults shouldn't irritate each other at some point? Can someone else please tell me if they still have teen/adult irritations?

I have all the expansions and stuff packs. The first thing I did was to take out all my (few) downloads, and at the time I had no hacks installed. I was trying to get Lilith Pleasant to run away when I noticed that she was missing most of the actions under the irritate option. She can still argue, gross out, etc Angela and other teens, but the only option available when irritating an adult is throw drink. It's the same with the adults, no options for irritating teens except throw drink. Force error > reset did nothing, and when I checked another house (Broke) I had the same problem. Now I was pretty certain that teens could argue with their parents before (and vice versa), so I uninstalled all but the base game, let it regen the neighborhoods fresh and loaded up. Sure enough, Lilith had the options back to irritate her parents like a good teen should have!
I installed Pets again with just the base game, and bingo, the options disappeared again. Am I the only one with this problem, or is this yet another thing that was broken by Pets?
