Delete any .ds_store files in the folder, they're attribute files used by macs.

I can't help re Parallels but I tried VMware Fusion with Windows XP on my new intel mac (ATI Radeon HD 5670 video card). So the game loads and the nh view terrains were flashing red (very distracting). I entered a lot and it was just barely playable with more flashing who-knows-what. I don't even remember if it was laggy because I just hated it immediately, VMware graphics capabilities just couldn't keep up. From what I understand Parallels has better graphics than VMware but not that much better.

Then I tried Bootcamp running Windows 7 and ts2 is gorgeous. No lag. No regrets. My dad thought I'd hate having to re-boot so often but the new computer reboots sexy-fast. Your laptop may take longer though...

The H&M uniform shirt incentive is a full body outfit, not a separate. Sounds like you're looking for it in tops.

SimWardrobe has "Shooters" and also some (hilarious) throwing axes under "Other Objects???"
And maxoidmonkey's Runs With Scissors has killed a few of my sims.
I don't remember if sims will use any of these autonomously

I think that happens as a non-glitch while your sim is off the lot during an alien abduction. Does knowing it might be abduction-related help? And I don't know if it would help but did you try deleting the .cache files before loading an all-mods-removed game?

Wintermuteai1 at Simslice has particle guns. I can't tell if they use repo-gun or fingerprint scanner animations. You're right, something using fire extinguisher animations would be cool

I haven't tried the puddings s3. I still have a lot of playstyles and stuff (creatures especially) to try in s2 . It'll be a big "Phew! Finally!" day when I finally have all the sps and eps, when I can finally just get to playing instead of waiting to see how some ep will affect the way I build/furnish/CAS/CAN.

So yeah, I'm still playing s2. And I'm pretty happy so many talented creators are still sharing new stuff

I'm unfamiliar with how the enthusiasm /one true hobby stuff works since I don't have FT yet. So the read me file doesn't make much sense to me but this part
  4/ Sims will only gain enthusiasm in a hobby if they have a minimum primary interest value of 1 point.  This does not apply to the OTH.
sounded pertinent to your request Is zero enthusiasm gain better than too easy enthusiasm gain?

Maybe tunaisafish will see your post at some point and respond, maybe the other link is just broken for today, maybe someone else will upload the file you really wanted.
