When I installed the card yesterday I just grabbed the newest drivers Nvidia told me I needed, thinking that they certainly must have resolved the driver issues by now. I can see now that it was silly of me to assume so. I am not sure which one I have installed as I am away from my home computer at the moment. Within minutes of trying to run the game I got the infinite loop BSOD.
I cried when my old card stopped working. I had it working perfectly and loved how good my game looked. It sucks that we cannot play the game as it is meant to be played. I know I am being a big baby, but I want my game to play like it did before. Until I can come up with something better I will have to try the useshaders cheat.
God forbid I should have any REAL problems in my life.
I would appreciate it if you (or anyone else) would let me know if you find an older version that works.

What is the general consensus on this beta driver? Who is it working for and who hasn't had any luck?
I had to replace my video card to a GeForce 6200 recently and have had no end of headaches trying to find a driver that works. My old card died, but it worked brilliantly with the game and I cannot remember which driver version I was using. (I had to use a crappy old 64 meg card in the interim, untill I could save up for a new card).
I really want to get the game running because I haven't had much time to play recently. I have BV installed but haven't been able to try it out yet. Would I have better luck if I just un-installed BV until all of these problems are resolved ( or should I just assume they are permanently borked and try to find another way around it)? I really don't want to use the useshaders false cheat if I don't have to. My old card had me spoiled because my game looked so pretty.

I could make it a tomb if I get the original link to where it came from.
It took me an eternity, but I finally tracked down where I got it from. http://purplejuice.wb.st/It is in Objects, page 2, third downloat from the top. (Sorry, I didn't want to hotlink it.) The quality of the pic from the website is really awful, no wonder I was tricked into downloading it. While I'm here, I may as well contribute another bit of fug that I found while perusing Alban's site. The bed curtains, I believe, are from meskiste and are actually quite nice. The rest of the bed is fugaliscious. Once again the picture quality is atrocious, but I am not willing to try it to see how it looks in game. Having the tomb tub clogging up my folder is quite enough.

I'd like to nominate this absurd bathtub by someone who calls himself Alb@n (I have no idea which site I got this from.) It is ridiculously huge and cuts through walls if you place it next to one and the sims disappear when the get into it because it is so enormous. It looks more like a tomb to me. <snip>
I'm willing to bet that, when a Sim washes his or her hands, they end up intersecting the sink's rim.. I haven't tried the sink, but I am sure it probably does do that. The sim steps right through the tub to turn the faucet on, and it is not even the faucet that you see along the side of the tub. Yes... It's definitely a sacrificial tub. The mask in the background confirms it. Sims stupid enough to go into that tub will be sacrified to some random Tiki god. Hehe. The tiki mask was my addition. I thought it fit in with the 'tomb tub' quite well. Wow it really does. The faucet should be removed. You then get a mod to turn bathwater red. Take many pictures of the sacrifice. If I were even mildly awesome I might be able to accomplish that. Seeing that I am not, I would welcome anyone else to try. I would like a sacrificial tub like that.

What am I missing? I never downloaded the Scissors. Can Sims use them autonomously? They are not autonomous as downloaded. However, I went into SimPe and made mine autonomous with extra attraction to playful Sims. I would have liked to have given the extra attraction to stupid Sims, but I couldn't figure out how to do that. Anyway, I've tried out the autonomous version of the scissors and they are working fine in my game. Do you or anyone else have an autonomous vesion of the scissors you are willing to share? I have checked most of the usual places for such a thing and was unable to find one. (Of course I could be looking in the wrong places.) I would really like to add this to my game. I have already downloaded the Cowplant mod and am having great fun with it. Any help or directions on where to find such a thing would be greatly appreciated and I will share cookies.

I had one of Rose's plantsim daughters go to use the wishing well to fulfill a want. I had her wish for friends. 3 sims popped out of the well; two guys and a girl named Regina something. What made it so strange was that Regina was already on the lot being cashier for Rose's produce stand. I checked to see if Cashier Regina was there, and she was. I had a giggle when Wishing Well Regina went to the produce stand and bought an apple from Cashier Regina. Having a sim instantiated twice on a lot is a VERY BAD THING which may lead to a BFBVFS if one of them is not deleted immediately. If you are certain you see two of the same sim on a lot, delete the duplicate immediately! Thanks for clearing that up for me Pescado. Next time (assuming there is one) I will act appropriately. I have already gotten rid of the wishing well. I wasn't that much impressed with it anywho. I certainly dont want a BFBVFS.

I work for Office Max and not a day goes by that at least two people come in with the complaints that the software they were using on XP will not work on Vista. They come into the store looking for updated programs that are compatible with Vista, but there are so few out there at the moment. Even 2007 versions of Microslop software aren't compatible. I had 2 people just this morning wanting to update MS Streets and Trips, but the newest version (2007) is not compatible. I have received more complaints about that program than any other. I feel bad for these poor folks that spend money on a tech to install their software and it doesn't end up working anyway. (Mostly elderly folks.) I really don't want to get vista until it is absolutely neccesary. I have heard too many complaints in the last month. I have messed about with the few Vista machines we have on display and fail to see what all the hubub is about. XP is good enough for me.

Wild-ass non-awesome guess time: If the Reginas are NPCs from OFB created to fill employee pools, could they possibly be from two different (sub)hoods? There are other occasions where people are spammed into existence from other hoods (e.g., tempting fate and asking the gypsy for a Blind Date may spam a Uni student into P'ville).
Are there any sub-hoods associated with Riverblossom? I haven't created any. I usually only create a Uni sub-hood, but haven'd done that yet. I rarely use the sub-hoods because of the tedious loading times associated with sending sims to community lots. I haven't tried poking around with SIMPE to see if there is more than one character file for Regina. I suppose I shall have to have a look. I haven't played much in Riverblossom. I just wanted to experiment to see if I could set up a produce business that would actually be lucrative.

I had an unusual occurrence in seasons this evening. It wasn't really a problem, but proved to be mildly amusing.
I have used 'the summoner' from the insim (unawesome, I know) in the past and accidentally summoned a sim who was already there, but I didn't end up with two of that sim on the lot.

PlantSims can breed like normal sims, if you want to go that route. I gave her another plant kid, another girl, and in the end I just stuck make-up on both her daughters, different on each. (Rose stays 'natural' in my game) I also only have Rose in the 'Plantsim' outfit, to help tell them apart. If you don't want them to be too un-plantlike, I think there are some green eyeshadows and green lipstick, for makeup...
Rose is currenlt pregnant with twins from Jason and has already had 2 babies by him. It is easier to have her spawn plantbabies because they are generally maintenence free, but they all freaking look the same. Are plantbaby spawn always the same gender as the parent? I am thinking of having Jason abducted after he reaches the top of his career (almost there). Green babies all around! Thanks sagana, unfortunately I am not a member of N99. I have applied several times and never gotten a respons. I will try again though.

I'm still wondeing about changing plantsim clothing. I know I can buy them new clothes, but I kinda like the plant-ish feel to the default plantsim clothing. Has anyone seen more plantsim clothing anywhere. I found some on MTS2, but they really weren't suitable for everyday wear; more like lingerie type stuff. I made Rose Greenman spawn 5 plantbabies and trying to tell them all apart is driving me nuts! (She has the 'have 10 children' want). I am thoroughly un-awesome and have neither the talent or patience to make my own plantsim clothing.

I had 2 sims spontaneously combust after sitting in a hot tub during a wedding party. I would have loved to let them die but I didn't want the party rating to tank so the bride and groom extinguished the fires. I am pretty careful about keeping my playable sims out of the hot tub but visiting sims are always bursting into flames. I actually like having them combust. They piss me off when they invite themselves to my sim's house and sit in the hot tub until 3 AM. I realize I could just do away with the hot tubs but SHC is much more entertaining.
I also have a lot of trees getting struck by lightening which is pretty cool to watch. I learned the first time that the rain will put out the fire about the same time the fire company arrives on the lot.
I have had one sim struck by lightening. She was pruning the fruit trees during a thunderstorm. Fortunately it didn't kill her. I still send my sims out to garden during thunderstorms; I just can't resist the temptation.

I don't want them putting their coats on unless I say so, dammit! (Control freak?) I see a lot of people actually like this feature but it drives me crazy. (Not a long trip for me.)

When I left the Greenman toddler outside in Spring (I believe) she had this little icon that said 'allergies!' in her tasklist. Nothing particular seemed to happen, though.
Any ideas on this or am I seeing things?
I did notice Severus Snape throwing a sneezing fit. I didn't have the time to look at his task list to see if there was anything there. It was spring, so I assumed allergies.

I have only notice one or two oddities thus far, one of which I believe is due to CEP needing updated. Some of my Maxis furniture is screwed up, the colors have changed to black on a sofa and loveseat. I don't have any recolors of these two objects so I'm not sure what the cause may be other than CEP. It annoys me because it was one of the sets of maxis furniture that was actually decent and I use it in a lot of homes.
Mr. T and Albert Einstein had a water balloon war yesterday. It was actually quite entertaining, but I noticed some weird glitches in the animation. I noticed the sims 'flashing' from one spot to another just before they actually moved to a different spot. You have to watch very carefully for it. (I was getting close up for a photo or I wouldn't have noticed it.) Has anyone else noticed this?
Albert also spent some time in the hot tub and I noticed that his temp raised very quickly. I didn't leave him in there to cook, I will save that experiment for some poor, miserable, expendable townie.
My Bender sim/robot had a visit from the garden club lady just after moving into his new home. He didn't even have any plants or trees on his lot and she wanted to offer him advice on his plants. Is she supposed to show up when a sim moves in like the gypsy lady? I was just wondering because I though it was weird that he didn't have any plants. (He does now though!)
One more question. Can robots be screwed up by having them out in the rain? Bender was outside planting tomatos in the rain for a long while but I didn't notice any ill effects.

I recently dumped all cc on my laptop and started over from scratch. (I keep the important stuff on the desktop. The Laptop is for testing and general screwing around.) Most of my male sims wear stuff from Hnote http://hnote.net/clothing.htm SOme of the stuff is a little strange but most of it is nice. I also get a lot of male clothes from All About Style. They have some nice elder clothes as well. My bf wears his belt around his waist. He is a dork though so maybe that is not a very good example.

I aplogize in advance if I have somehow missed this, I have spent the last 15 minutes searching (using the search button, no less) for any mod that will cut back or eliminate the obsessive want for a furry pet. I have found other mods that affect the wants for other things in the game but was wondering if there was one for pet adoption wants. Feel free to snigger, poke and laugh, It has happened before and have gotten used to it. My sim families have enough to be going on with without worring about untrained pets destroying their garbage cans and sofas. You know, like removing the ladder from the pool during a pool party.

I had this problem quite a long time ago. I ended up with many duplicate tombstones on my lot. I would delete them but when I loaded the lot again, they would be back. I seem to remember it was due to an old version of the yellow pee hack. I also ended up with brown puddles all over the place.

Thanks for your responses, I can't wait to try them in my game later today. My Simmie's lives in one of my custom neighborhoods are really pretty dull. I want to liven things up a bit. I have been wanting to try a diiferent sort of business and this sounds like a fun idea.
Has anyone tried using both of them together? I was wondering if they conflict with eachother.

I have been considering making brothel for one of my hoods, I have looked at both of lizzlove's beds, but I am unsure which one would work best. For those of you who have done this what bed and accompanying mods are you using (if you need any accompanying mods for the best effect)? I noticed that one of the beds says it is Uni only. Are some of you reporting that you have tried it in OFB and it is working properly? I just want a simple whore house where the customer will autonomously hop into bed with one of the girls. My brain is fried at the moment (took a couple vicadin for my back, and my brain seems to have shut down temporarily - not that it was that sharp to begin with ) I was just wonderingwhat you all have used to the best sucess. Sorry for asking such a stupid question, but I am feeling really stupid and too lazy right now to figure it out for myself.
