1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Extreme difficulty in killing sims by fire? on: 2009 June 05, 17:01:44
We had one who kept pulling the fire extinguisher out and putting it out.  It seems to be a little bit harder.  I just hate that any sim on the lot comes running even without the alarms.

I love the it's dark moodlet.   Grin

EA only wants our money, they have no time to make us creative ways to kill our sims.

Have you seen the ghost yet?  I wonder if it is the starved ghost or a drown one.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How to Torture Sims on: 2009 May 31, 22:14:49
You can't make them die by food poisoning.  I tried this and the sim got nauseated for 3 hours and would run to the bathroom to puke.  After 2 hours, he was fine.   Sad

Here are some pictures from my game.  I'm into causing deaths in my hoods, so I had to test it out.  The fire one pissed me off.  The family is off in the house and yard then the fire started, here they come running.  WTH?  The ones in the house have no reason to react, they are INSIDE.  Plus I can't send them to do anything else until the fire is over....which is when someone (mom) died.

On a side note, my husband has a test sim.  The guy just got married, but has 3 baby mamas and children in the hood.  He is trying to see if he can get the whole town related.

Where is the jealousy???  Why can the husband hug and kiss  his girlfriend in front of his spouse and she does not react?  WTF???

Open the kids backpack and go into buy/build to drag whatever you want him to have to the backpack.  That is what I did to move things from one backpack to another.

Has anyone found the money tree seeds or the death tree seeds?  My girl wants to grow those stupid things and I haven't found them yet.  I guess she needs to go back to the catacombs, where she found the Life Tree seeds.  Not really sure what the Life Tree plants do for you yet though.  I let her eat one and nothing happened.

ETA - I love gardening, esp not having to plant after every harvest

I never said I don't download fixes, I just meant I am very choosy on what I download. Also I did not mean to humble the great pescado.

The only fixes I use are Pescado's.  I don't even use the patches since they break more than they fix.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What hacks/fixes are absolutely necessary on: 2008 December 07, 17:01:48
I don't use BUY either.  I normally have a ratio of 1 bathroom to 1.5 sims.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Apartment Life: Obligatory Hate/Love Topic on: 2008 September 07, 20:27:36
I don't really need it for them.  I figure that is one drawback to living in a trailer, lol.  Want an energizer, they must move to a house.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Apartment Life: Obligatory Hate/Love Topic on: 2008 September 07, 20:09:45
I placed a trailer park in one of my hoods.  There is no place to put an energizer.  How in the frell are they supposed to have one?  It was interesting playing them without it though.   Cry
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 February 29, 02:00:27
I let my tester collect bugs for about 10 sim minutes and the bees were after her.  I did notice there were more people walking past on the sidewalk also.

LOL - it is a fun game.  Keep it up.  Grin

I would think so, even though I totaled phailed the test...   Roll Eyes
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: autonomous copycat behaviour (behavior) on: 2008 January 16, 18:24:46
Why can't they just smustle in the room with the stereo?  I hate when the visitors start smustling by themselves in a room far away from it.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage inconsistently refusing to load! on: 2007 October 06, 15:08:38
I've had the Mustang since it came out and didn't have a problem loading the game.  Does it now conflict with something in BV??
Since installing BV it loads about 75% of the time.  I have changed the icon to ignore the launcher and hope that works.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Celebrations confusion on: 2007 April 05, 01:08:02
According to the BBS it's because of the patches. The recent Pets and Seasons patches make their respective executables dated newer than the Celebration Stuff executable and thus the game thinks they are the newest expansion and forces you to run one of those (Seasons if you have it and patched otherwise Pets if you don't have Seasons but patched via the second Pets patch).

If you applied neither patch, then the Celebration Stuff exe should run.

It forced me to patch Pets... Undecided  It installed the patch right after installing the stuff.

2) Since the plant children are born with pointy ears, it seems to be confirmed that they are not clones, but genetically related to an unknown "pollinator" NPC. Has anyone familiar with SimPE been able to isolate it? And what are its characteristics (other than pointy ears and ugly). It seems relevent as to whether it can ultimately be replaced by a hack with a more attractive pollinator NPC, as with the alien pollination technician.

Not all plant sims have pointed ears.  I have some with normal ears also.  It seems to be a chance thing to get the pointed ears.

I would love to see some other plant sim outfits.  It is hard to tell them apart when you have a group of them.  I know you can change their outfit, but it reverts back to the plant sim outfit after getting their water refreshed.

Open the house, change the color of the outsidel paint.  I had something like that and changing the paint corrected it.

Someone on one of the Yahoo groups I'm on ( Prosperity possibly) saw it.  She'd been using crashed UFOs as neighborhood decorations. According to her it was scanning them.

Joan - back to lurking now

Hi Joan!!  Yes, I thought they were scanning my crashed Ufo's.  Here is the link to my pictures.  http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v402/lynnbar72/ufo/
23  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Pregnancy Token? on: 2006 October 01, 16:08:54
Thanks.  I am playing a shared hood that we package up and transfer.  I am trying to figure out a way that the next person can not go 'baby crazy' again.  Last time that was all she did was breed the sims.   Angry  She ignored the business lots and the 'mini games' of the game.  The idea isn't to see how many kids you can have in a round.   Roll Eyes  The idea of sterilizing them sounded great, but doesn't look doable.
24  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Pregnancy Token? on: 2006 October 01, 03:59:44
So there is no way to sterile them via SimPe or anything?  Thanks.
25  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Pregnancy Token? on: 2006 September 30, 21:32:24
Is there anyway you can take the pregnancy token away from a sim?  This way they don't get the option to 'Try for Baby'?  I have tried searching around for this and haven't been able to figure it out.  I would like a way to sort of 'sterilize' some of my sims.  Thanks.
