 Cheesy Thank you DrBeast!!!!!
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / That great refrigerator hack on: 2006 May 02, 14:05:11
I've been away from the Sims for several months, so forgive me if this question has been asked and answered already.  Inge had a great hack, basically a bottomless refrigerator so-to-speak, but I see her site is no longer the same.  Does anyone know if someone has re-created this hack in some way or if Inge's is still available somewhere?

Too much computer-playing is hard on the body - back, shoulders, eyes, brain - all those things that can get stressed and give you massive headaches.  I am a migraine-headache sufferer and have to be very careful about how long I spend on the computer.  My body will tell me when enough is enough cause I will start to get "that headache" and it won't go away with anything I take unless it's an anti-migraine pill.

I'm in a lot of pain right now so not very coherent, so I'm going to write this in point form to hope it makes sense:
3. To make a house "safe", what you need to do is go into it in Build Mode, maybe change some small thing, and SAVE it - so it "updates" with whatever the new file format is.

Does this help? I hope it's coherent  Undecided.

Yes - understood completely.  Thanks for the help.  Sorry you're not feeling well also.  I will give that a try on my next move.  It does make complete sense though.
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sim leaves in the middle of a Dream Date - Is this normal? on: 2005 November 15, 16:33:40
For instance, a dream date that goes on and on for a while will still be a dream date even though when you 'End Date' your date says something to the effect of "Look, I'm in a crappy mood I'm going home. Don't you care about my needs?" and then proceeds to say "Wow! That was the best date ever! etc."\

I've had that very same thing happen several times.  Very strange.

The waiting is very hard, I know.  I discovered several breast lumps when I was in my early 20's and had to undergo the ole' mammogram and just waiting for the results to come back was worse than the test itself.  Your mind is very powerful and can really bring you down.

My thoughts are with you, Ness, and we all hope to hear good news from you very soon.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Moving problems on: 2005 November 11, 16:19:26
At least the wait for the Uni patch was worth it, they seemed t me to have covered virtually all the problems, but they were rather quick off the mark with the NL one (and since it included the Uni stuff, and isn't much bigger than the Uni patch, there can't be an awful lot in it.)

I noticed that and thought it was quite strange  Huh.
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Moving problems on: 2005 November 11, 00:48:50
There is a thread entitled: Adult Loses College Earned Want Slots.  This was regarding the same problem that you are experiencing.

That was my first post regarding this problem.

Yet another thread in this forum dealt with the perma-plat problem.   If it doesn't re-stick, you can use the FFs Debugger to toggle LTW bit, and they will go permaplat.

That's what I've been doing.  It must be a bug somewhere that's causing this and I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same problems.  Haven't been keeping up on the post lately - too busy playing the game.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Poor Baby! on: 2005 November 10, 16:20:52
Man, the poor things these children endure.  My poor toddler was left with his ass stuck up in the air.  All alone and abandoned and what a perfect face!

OMG - what a hoot!  Haven't laughed that hard in a long time.  In fact, all the pictures in this thread have cracked me up - whew!
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Moving problems on: 2005 November 10, 15:21:01
This happened to me before and I thought nothing of it, but it has happened twice more since I posted my prior message.  Whenever I move sims to a new home, two things happen - 1) they loose their Uni-earned extra want slots; and 2) NOW I discover that if they are perma-plats, that is also lost in the move and I have to either cheat to get that back or re-do their LTW.  I hadn't had this problem until after I patched NL.  Anyone else having these or similar moving problems since the patch?
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What happened with Dr Boris on: 2005 November 10, 14:39:13
I always thought Dr Boris wasn't real....I imagined him to be JM's alter-ego!

Maybe he has four paws  Cheesy - Doesn't JM have a dog?
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I have Simpotence on: 2005 November 10, 14:33:56
I just can't get the desire to play the game lately. I think about it, I sort of want to sometimes, but I just can't do it.

I wish I had your mindset about the game right now, Motoki, cause I can't keep my hands off the game and it's keeping me from doing what I really should be doing.  I go through streaks where I can be satisfied with just a few hours of playing to where I can't stop and it feels like an addiction.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightlife and Twins on: 2005 November 10, 12:12:23
Opposite problem here - not a single set of twins at all since nightlife was installed!

Same here - no twins since installing NL, though no complaints from me.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What is going wrong in my house? on: 2005 November 10, 12:01:27
Well, I would have never thought of that (break inducer) being the problem because when you spawn it, nothing happens - there's no little pop-up item to give you more menu options to choose from.  Since nothing happened, I just continued scanning through the cheats until I found what I was looking for, completely ignorant as to what I had just did.  That's what I get for messing around. Cheesy

Spawn break suppressor
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What is going wrong in my house? on: 2005 November 10, 11:45:29
Sure does ring a bell *blushing* - I was looking for something in the cheats menu and I remember seeing that.  Thanks DrBeast Grin
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / What is going wrong in my house? on: 2005 November 10, 11:38:30
Everything my sims touch breaks!  I replace it or get it fixed and it breaks the next time they use it.  It's ridiculous - I can't even play the game.  I'm constantly replacing or repairing something.  Is it a bug or the game (NL)?
18  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Re: Let Slobs be Slobs on: 2005 November 07, 13:31:15
This is a great hack - I have a house-full of 8 sloppy sims and this hack is perfect for them.  They definitely need a maid because they don't do a darn thing around the house except make messes!  They don't clean up a thing - it's a hoot to watch them live in a pigsty.  They do complain about the environment though so I had to download Inge's less whiny hack (as I don't think Pescado's is updated yet).
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why should I clean a dirty bathtub? on: 2005 November 06, 11:19:54
Sounds like my house - I clean the toilet and 10 minutes later I go in the bathroom only to find that one of my boys has peed all over the toilet seat  Angry

Hello Crammyboy and welcome - so glad you are here Smiley
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Battle of the Aspirations on: 2005 November 06, 10:49:31
I just think Family sims are fun to play - maybe cause I'm family-oriented myself.   I love a house-full of kids running around playing cops and robbers or the teens who invite all their friends over after school to watch that crazy crap on T.V.  Mom and dad have very simple wants, the kids want to get A+'s on their report cards, the teens are a bit different of course; they always seem to want that first kiss, which is normal in real life.  I also love having a pregnant mom on the house.  There's so much anticipation.  Babies are easy to care for.  Toddlers are a little more demanding (except I've got Igne's toddlers sleep through the night hack and TJ's toddlers don't play in toilet hack, which help a whole lot).

My next choice would be the Knowledge sims - they're easy to play but not as exciting.  I usually end up getting their LTW met and turning them into Family sims  Wink.

Fortune sims are okay, except they always want, want, want.  Just when you get them that new couch they wanted, they want another one!

Rarely do I have a Romance sim - too much chaos for me  Cheesy unless you get their LTW met.

Popularity sims are fun but they remind me of the Romancers, wanting all those dates (haven't tried the Cheese yet)

Lastly are the Popularlity Sims, which are just a pain to me for some reason.  I never pick that aspiration.
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Typical Playing Day? on: 2005 November 04, 13:03:11
I'm a stay-home-mom so I get up at 5 a.m. and play until I have to get my kids up for school, which is about 6:30 a.m. and then I play in between helping them get ready for school.  Once they're out the door, I'll play for an hour or so and then get to what I need to do around the house and then I won't usually play again until the evening.  Sometimes I won't play at all at night and will read instead, but I will always play in the morning for a few hours.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What a waste of food! on: 2005 October 27, 20:59:42
I wish we could have a serve the kids option on the fridge, that way it only makes food for the kids on the lot and the maker would not eat it. that way the kids could eat something besides juice and chips seeing as how they can't cook themselves.

Dizzy2 has a cool hack - the smart serve - and the kids can actually cook anything the adults can (provided they have the cooking skills).
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Adult loses college-earned want slots after moving into new home on: 2005 October 27, 20:46:51
One of my adults, after moving into her second new home (and ironically just after I installed the patch), lost all of her college-earned extra want slots and is back down to only 4.  Her hubby, however, got his extra want slots from the FFS lot debugger and managed to keep them.  I went into SimPE to see if there was anything I could do, but I'm not that familiar with the program, and of course, the FFS lot debugger won't work because she's already a college grad.  Any suggestions?
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How many Sims are you playing? on: 2005 October 10, 20:03:46
I've been playing the same family in Pleasantview, going on the third generation now.  Some YA's are in college, some are married in different homes and a couple of YA's just graduated and moved back into the "original" family home to care for their elder parents and younger sister.  So, I have a variety of different families (and places) to play, yet they are all related - that's how I like to play my game.
