1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Half of Bridgeport Sims stand around, doing nothing.. on: 2010 November 27, 22:22:53
This is just kind of out of the blue...but does anyone else remember one of the promo videos that EA had posted prior to the release of Sims 3 where the Sims were all on the phone and started  running to see some Sim dude perform in concert? This scenario with the Sims all congregating at one spot reminds me of that video.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Half of Bridgeport Sims stand around, doing nothing.. on: 2010 November 26, 04:53:35
I've tried doing a clean install and the city was still bugged. So I evicted the Sims to the Bin and started a new game...no stuck Sims...so far.  Once I started resetting Sims none of the bartenders, bouncers or nightclubs worked and it would take my Sims 3 Sim hours to walk down 3 flights of stairs.  If my computer has not  just become an oversized paperweight, it may be that the city just corrupted.

Oh here are the rest of my computers specs.

Windows 7 32 bit
Dell XPS 630i
Phoenix AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Intell Core 22 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00Ghz (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
6144 MB Ram
1731MB used, 6578MG available
DirectX 11

It is kind of "Close Encounter" spooky, huh? I used NRAAS's Mastercontroller to reset the lot and to get rid of all the 214 derelict cheap cars clogging up the city's streets but the game play is still sluggish and laggy. I've invested in 15 Sim weeks in this game and my band has only had 3 gigs. I'm going to try backing up my game and deleting it from the documents folder to see if a clean install will get rid of whatever is causing this. However, does it look like I have some kind of hardware deficiency or is this just some kind of frakked up bad programming on EA's part?

I found something similar last night. It started with the vehicles for the maid and the repairman being stuck in front of my Sim's house. After deleting them I discovered all of these funky Big Lemon's and Sloppy Jalopy's just abandoned everywhere clogging up the city's streets. For every one of them that I deleted another 2 appeared. Lastly, I discovered this huge crowd in front of the Movie Studio http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa420/bzrburns/Screenshot.jpg[/img]]
I have 6144 MD Ram and here are my specs. http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa420/bzrburns/specs.jpg[/img]]  I am using the Overwatch mod.

Some freebies from the store courtesy of T-Mobile. Unfortunately you can only download 1 item in a 24 hour period.  http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/252237.page#3253961

This works great! Is there another fix like this for the Journalism career. My sim will go to do the review but he doesn't have the option to write the review on his computer.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 November 16, 17:28:56
I was having a lot of problem with Error Code 12 and 13 complete with crashes. It happened with and without custom content and mods. It happened with and without aging and story progression running.  I tried deleting all the caches and still it happened. It seemed to happen during weeks 14-16 of Sim play regardless of all my effots. I read on the Forum to delete the files in WorldCaches. I did so and the Error Codes 12, 13 and the random crashes stopped. I've been able to play through Sim Week 60 with no problem.  But the files in the WorldCaches folder didn't automatically regenerate. Is this a problem?

13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: I think I've caught the stupid on: 2009 October 18, 17:55:33
I had the same problem with crappy downloads from the Exchange. After fiddling with removing mods and the downloads folder and deleting cache files I finally took the drastic step renamed the C:\users\myname\documents\electronic arts\The sims 3 to C:\users\myname\documents\electronic arts\xXThe sims 3Xx. I then restarted the game, then exited. I then copied the Download, Saves, and InstalledWorlds folders into my new installation of C:\users\myname\documents\electronic arts\The sims 3.  All the crappy stuff was gone. Most of it was attached to SavedSims so I did not copy that folder from the old installation.

Sorry you had to go through all that but it does the same thing to me. I can download and download crap on my computer with Windows Vista but the then check my computer with Windows XP and find out it has downloaded perfectly the first time. I don't get it.
17  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 07, 23:09:02
Dawnkay, thank you however there are 5 empty packages in your rar file. You might want to try to follow the instructions posted here to see how to redownload them.
18  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 07, 21:56:51
I think we should leave it as it is and resort to PayPal on an as needed basis. I spent $30 on this set and would have donated most of the furniture but I got over eager and downloaded from the Store before checking here.  I usually give myself a $20 a month Sim allowance. I appreciate the scavenger hunt aspect of collecting all this stuff and enjoy sharing my acquistions.
19  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection on: 2008 December 05, 01:38:48
Amythestfenix, I hope someone can fix it cause this set would be great if it could be coordinated with the BV furniture.

Yup I caught that! I don't know if it is the Downloader or my new computer. I downloaded these from my old computer and they show up in the game just fine.

Some of you have indicated that you have problems downloading probably due to bandwidth issues. I've split the two rar's into four so try this link:
