Yes, I believe it goes away once they are friends. I apologize for not making this clearer, but I meant when my sims meet someone brand new, 'get to know' does not always seem to appear on the menu. I usually just choose 'chat' and sometimes it will show up in a moment or two, sometimes not. Of course it's always possible that it's there and I just didn't SEE it, but this has happened more than once so I don't think that's it. Conversely, 'Goodbye' seems to mostly show up when conversing when friends, but I also see it with just-met sims, too. It's probably just glitched.
I had this too since BG. I think that I read somewhere in XML files that sims can have a finite number of subjects to talk about. So when you meet someone new and you just watched a movie/read a book/got a promotion all available slots will be taken. Thus there will be no place for "Get to Know". Don't know if that is indeed so, but at least "Get to Know' option always disappeared for me when "Talk" menu was over encumbered.

That is the future of s3pe and has nothing to do with EP. I don't think, that changing the gameplaydata file and then saving was such a good idea. It will be better to save just those xml files you changed in a seperate package file. I also change values in Venues xml and this worked for me before,. Didn't check it since then. I'll see if it is still true.
I changed all my lots to "no visitors".  I haven't received visitors to the graveyard since, but they do still go to the hospital.  Apparently I can't stop visitors to workplace lots without deleting the workplace building.  Is the .rar on this thread intended to be a mod?  If so, I cannot get it to work, and I wonder if I am doing it correctly.
The mausoleum is also a workplace, was it still on the graveyard when visiting stoped?

No, those are XML files. To make a mod you need to package them, after you made the changes. s3pe is used, generally.

Don't know if that's a bug or they just didn't care enough, but I just got a request for Teenage Sanctuary from Thornton Wolff. I even checked if they suddenly adopted a teenager, but nope, just him and his wife.

Did you check what happens if you change lot type to "no visitors", but leave the mausoleum? I think that maybe this leads to only those that work there still come onto the lot.

Game goes completely silent after some time, like all options are on mute. System sound is normal, no mods. Anyone else experiences this?

If your game is patched you should have community lot type "no visitors". Otherwise, dunno.

I can CAST floor edges...but not ceilings. :\
To CAST ceilings paint them with floor tiles first.

All the sliders work for me and I have most of them.

Looks like the lights still do NOT work. No light exits the lot, nor goes to another level. This with no mods installed.

Well, I managed to reinstall and patch fully every time, but wasn't really thinking about it- I have no way of determining if the game is running properly, because I can't use awesomemod to bypass CD checks, the game doesn't seem to accept a mounted iso as a CD being in the drive, and there are likely no cracks for this patch yet!

Well, I can think of a workaround. Save lot in a bin, bulldoze, move empty lot, place lot from the bin. Won't work with occupied lots, though.
Also, is there a way to move things up and down on z-axis? All trees have this "root" area beneath them. Looks strange.

Changed all lots on island to residential and looks like it helped. Gonna do more testing to be sure. Thank you for help!

Yep, definitely works now. I also removed some of the community lots I added just to b sure and it runs smoothly now. Thank you.

I have the updated version with fixed roads. I have maximum the same amount of people as in Sunset Valley(about 80 total, with service). No houses on island.
I get freezes all the time, the frequency depends on how many neighbors are there. If there is only one(active) family in hood, then there are no freezes at all. As hood gets more populated the freezes get more frequent. When I had almost the same amount of people as in Sunset Valley, freezes were happening every 5-10 sim minutes and were going on for about 10-30 sec real time, which made it completely unplayable. So I decided to check what they were doing and found many sims going across the hood on foot. Since at night freezes stop(sims sleeping) I concluded that that was the issue.
I really like this hood and I already spend a lot of time on it placing houses so it would be a shame not to be able to use it now.
I have other populated custom hoods as well but no freezes there.

Sorry, for double post, but it's been a while since last one.
I have no idea why, but sims from non-controllable families go to community lots almost always on foot, no matter the distance. There are some that do use cars or bicycles, but there are lots of sims who try to hike across a hood. If I switch to that family, cancel the action and then immediately tell sim to go to that same location he uses taxi or car. This happens only in this hood in multiple different saves. I also believe that this behavior causes non stop freezes when I try to play in this hood, which makes it impossible. Since I populated the first save I've been constantly testing, trying different setups and starting all over to figure out the reason, and this seems to be it. Have no idea what may be causing this.
Does anybody else has the same problem with this hood or maybe there is a newer version available?

@The_Goddess: Have you given any thought as to whether or not you will be putting up the CAW files for Fargo on the site? Not to be a nag or anything, but I truly enjoy this world and it would be nice to be able to edit it to my own particular preferences.
Yes, I would like CAW files too, since I really like the urban area, but would like to paint it with asphalt for more city look. This town has everything I needed and wanted. Really, really like it!

The only way I know is to turn lot to residential, stock it to your liking and then turn back to community.

Yes, this is most certainly gardening skill journal corruption. This can happen due to a plant mod removal, like mine or link and roast plants one, or due to a save file corruption. The only way that I know to fix this involves Neighborhood Workshop at http://linna.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=350770. You have to go to that characters properties and into his garden skill and see if there is anything strange.

I looked at it in my game and it's absolutely gorgeous. Everything is very thought out, loved the community and reception hall. It has such a nice feeling of island life in it, kinda like in Lilo&Stich. Couldn't find the mausoleum, is it on the island or did you add it later? Also I think that anyone who wants rabbit holes can add them in the form of small signs, available on MTS I think.

Can you maybe upload resource files for it, so we could edit it, for lot sizes and such?

I had the same thing. I'm playing in window mode and every time I was not on the sims window while it was almost finished loading and was instead browsing MATY for example, the next screen with save games would never show up. But if I was switching to sims window and was watching the load bar to go the last centimeters , it did show up. Now the problem is gone, I don't know why, maybe it was a patch or CC or stars position in the sky  Huh Hope this helps.

There is a "falconpunch" cheat code in awesomemod, that will make an abortion on a selected sim.
