I just did a total uninstall as I want to start from scratch. But now I'm having a problem with the base game patch. I can install the base game fine. I even can run it, but when I go to install the patch it gets almost done then says error with update, or something like that. I've tried after that to install Uni, and it installs fine, up until "It will now check for updates, please insert the sims 2 game disk, I insert it, and it tries to patch it again, and again I get the error..

I uninstalled now 5 times tonight trying to get it to work and it keeps saying the same thing. I have checked in my regedit, and everything is uninstalled.

Could someone please help me.

Squinge's hack Pregnancy wear anything seems to be conflicting in my game. Does anyone know if there is a better one out there or something along the same lines that works "more awesome" then this one for BV?

MOD EDIT: The colour options are not there to be used.

I did ask it there, and all I got was... "I don't know" you might have to buy a new Season's game... Last time I ask them tech questions 

He didn't even go into the registry area.. All he did was delete my EA folder out of MY Documents, and then delete the EA folder out of MY Computer/Program Files... And it installed with no problems...  I was even able to start redoing all my hoods last night...

Thank you soooooo much katenigma... My husband came home and was able to fix this like in 5 minutes...  Now just to put ALL my downloads back in 

Is there another way besides this? When I go to do this it will not let me erase my sim 2 folder??

Can't I just change the name of the file or something..

Okay thank you. I am going to have to have my husband do this, I have NO idea how to work computers when it comes to technical stuff..

Usually I go into Control Panel/Add Remove Programs/ then find my games and uninstall from there... I take it thats not how you do it??

I've done it this way many times and have never had this problem...


I just wanted to add.. When I go into my C drive/Program Files/EA Games/ The Sims 2 Seasons... The only file in there is the TSBin.. The one that I am having an issue with...

All the other files have everything in them...

Does that mean anything?

Okay so I have had no problems like this one, and this is a doooosy..  I download the new Seasons patch and have had nothing but problems since. I went on the BBS and they told me to get rid of the patch to uninstall my last EP (Seasons) and then reinstall it. So I did.. Well I get about 61% done and I get this message:

A problem has occured when trying to transfer the file 'E\TSBIN\Sims2 EP5.exe.' from the media

So I tryed to manually install it like the forum said.. I get pretty much the same message: 'C\Game Disk\Disk 1\TSBIN\Sims2 EP5.exe. from the media.

I am really confused what happened. I have never had this happen before.. Can anyone help me out on what to do.. I checked my disk it has no scratches or breaks in it..

I even tried to uninstall the game and all ep's and sp's and all install fine except seasons...
