Actually, I do have kids, ages ranging from 24 to 12 (in MATY terms).

Ouch, touched a tough spot there? Cheesy

Hahaha, you guys are so funny!  Cheesy

This is the best forum I've ever visited! It's full of flamers who think better of themselves and will actually waste their own time sending posts that either state that they're actually like that in real life OR they think anonymity excuses all manners and would - instead of showing their intelligence and knowledge - let other people hope it's not someone who you know in real life... I hope you people don't have kids, I wouldn't want to see them grow up like you.. Or at least let's hope your behavior is like this only online.

Keep sending nasty replies, so I can waste my time reading them! Thanks for daddy's trust fund, I'm able to.

I'm going to do one thing for you before the carnage commences:

userStartup.cheat

Go ye forth unto the internet and search on that phrase.

For what I know, ShowHeadLines off has to be applied on every sim individually. Putting it on userStartup.cheat won't do the trick. Or didn't do for me. If someone managed to do it, great for them.

Temperature Fixing: Will consider.

kthanksbye  Grin

No it doesn't work outside.  Air conditioners tend not to.

If we had a real-life air conditioner, we'd have no green house effect Smiley

No need for that.

Hi,

Starting a new topic here because I didn't find a request forum (yeah, I'm dyslexic, hence lazy search)

I was thinking if there's an block thingy for though bubbles. I hate thought bubbles. Sad I know you SHOULD be able to hide them with ShowHeadliness off - but I'd like it to be permanent. Or at least as long as I play and reset when gameplay end - which ever could be easier to do. I'm making movies and it's really annoying to have to destroy half the takes because of the bubbles/effects/whatevers. ShowHeadlines seems to like to be "on" sometimes anyway. The same goes with plumbbobtoggle.. Smiley

I was also thinking if it's possible to add weather/season changes to ffsdebugger, I love the MOAR! feature.

And badge editing (under Upgrade sim ->) straight to gold.

And skill maxing (all skills up to nine lvls or something like that)

Oh oh oh and if it could be possible to add temperature fixing in ffsdebugger as well? It's hard to shoot anything when the "actors" are having heat strokes all the time (or freezing their hineys)... (meaning resetting temperature to green manually)

I know these features can be found on various hack objects/hacks/stuffets, but it would be very convenient to find them "all-in-one"

Thanks for reading.  Kiss

And If I'm really as stupid as I think and have had this fine thing slipped of my range, please point me to the right direction..

EDIT: explained
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Did Freetime do this to my game?! on: 2008 February 29, 11:05:56
A bit more drama added:

Without any walkby hacks installed, my doorbell gets harassed all the time, even at night. Neighbors, townies, everyone seems to want to be my friend. I wound up killing nine townies last night. Smiley I don't have any walkby hacks installed, but most of MATY hacks anyway Cheesy
7  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: How can I erase patch? on: 2007 June 15, 09:54:01
just uninstall + reinstall Seasons (assuming it was Seasons you just patched), no need to uninstall anything else.

Phew..

I always uninstall-install everything but I suppose I could try the installation galore only with Seasons. That thought never crossed my mind, to be honest  Grin
8  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / How can I erase patch? on: 2007 June 14, 22:52:45
Is there an uninstaller for the patch?

My whole game has gone berserk after the "new" "fine" "shiny" patch.

Is there a way I can undo this major mistake I just did?

How can I remove the patch?

Or is it a nice 1½ Uninstall-Install -project again?

What say you fine, smart people?

EDIT: okay I removed all of my hacks and it is still not raining. Not visually, I meant. Anyone else?

EDIT 2: I think I'm getting quite the wants galore: All my sims want now is to be werewolves and howl all night long.. Without the hacks. Parley, EA?
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hacks are burning me.. Help.. on: 2007 June 07, 18:33:24
Squinge at Insim has more no autonomous hacks than you'll probably ever need.  Check there if MATY dosen't have one.

I have gone through Squinge's lists five times today and I didn't find it. I need another pair of eyes. Or a new brain.

Hmm, I should come here and ask questions every time I don't know something, because my problems are solved the moment I push the Post button.

EDIT: Google is a very nice thing to be around..

From my reading of other threads, it looks like you would be better off downloading those hacks into separate folders named after the modder (Crammyboy, Pescado, TwoJeffs, etc), as sometimes hacks if loaded in the wrong order, might conflict.  From my understanding, the modders here will build on other Awesome hacks, so they need to be loaded in a certain order.
Having them in the own separate groups would also allow you to quickly see who makes your hacks, where to update them from, etc.

Yeah, you're right. I should have done that ages ago. I just thought it would be easier for the game to look into less files, but that way I could keep all the rtfm's in the files and have no more of them "what does this do" -moments.

I'm so happy I didn't have to ditch any hacks. They keep my Sims alive. I used to fry at least one sims family a week because I was so poofed on the stupid things they did.

By the way, has anyone done a hack to remove/less autonomous fishing? It's kinda annoying I can't have a pond without every single visitor going fishing when I want my sims to flirt with them.. I just MIGHT add that to my long list of hackety-hacks.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hacks are burning me.. Help.. on: 2007 June 07, 14:52:35
My instinct says that if you don't know what it is, you don't need it, so chuck it. (well, pull it out & see what the hell happens)

Saw what the hell happened..

New_College_Scholarship_Pontiac1979.package and the other one were the ones that messed up my system.

Meaning: All the hacks are good and I can keep them.  Grin

OH happy joy joy the day of sunshine.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hacks are burning me.. Help.. on: 2007 June 07, 14:31:21
That's a lot of hacks.

I know that's a lot of hacks. Smiley I'm suprised I'm only getting one obvious glitch Cheesy

To you have them all bundled up together like that or are they in subfolders?

Bundled up like that in Downloads -folder. I keep other stuff in their own folders like this:

Downloads
  hackity.packages
           - Objects
           - FloorsWalls
           - Facefiles (face replacements)

I had them in their own Hacks-folder but I figured it would be better if they were in Downloads.

HAHA! Found a little critter inside my Objects -folder. There was a newscolarshippontiacsomthing and a reward of some kind -packages in there. I removed it, so let's try again.

I also have some kind of a college adjuster (the phonebook). That hasn't given me any trouble before so it can't be that..

18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Hacks are burning me.. Help.. on: 2007 June 07, 13:59:33
I'm posting it here, though I feel like this is too retarded to ask..

I have installed tons of hacks to remove stupid behaviors or actions or stuff. And now I'm lost.

Something is glitching and I can't live without them.  Cry

I'd like someone to help my stupidity. What should I remove? I have read the manuals (of the ones that come supplied with one) but I can't understand which ones could prevent others from working. I have tried to remove some of the hacks, but it would take forever (and a lot of restarting the game) to test all of them.

The only real problem I see is when my teenage sims applies for college (and should get all the scolarships based on skill points), it gets one award, then the game glitches for a second, it's sort of a jump bug. The phone is back in its place, the sim is standing there minding its own business.. When I call back to college after that, the rest of the scholarships are granted.

So, I've decided to come here and beg for help. I need help from the wise (wo)men:

19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My Sims 2 Is broken.. on: 2007 April 09, 08:50:13
If you really want the mailman to wear winter clothes in the winter, and are willing to switch it per season, you could use the NPC replacer from simswardrobe to give them a winter outfit and switch back when it's warm enough.

Excellent idea! I'll forget the outerwear, but make them wear long pants, that should minimize the annoyance factor... I think.

MTS2 has a new hack for fully covering the hood in snow during the winter, no grass showing. I dunno if it's just from the neighborhood view or not though.

Yeah, I downloaded that but didn't have the chance to test it yet since I've been too buzy playing Zombiehorde the last couple of days. Hopefully the hack does the trick..

There are hacks that will make them autonomously study from bookshelves - I *think* I saw one updated for the season's bookshelf but have no clue where. I think macrostatics would help with this, but I don't use it so am not sure.

I'll have to googley-google then. I'm still learning how to take benefit of Macrotastics..

BUY will make them shower, and thus change into everyday clothing, before leaving the bathroom.

I can put up a computer, set it up, solve the problems, give support to others but I don't know how to use BUY. RTFM tells it all, but I just can't figure out. Well, people's talents vary... Guess I'll have to read RTFM once again..

There are hacks that either don't allow them to make food on their own at all, or don't allow single servings. Try squinge's from insim.

I did try it but it didn't quite work. Must be one of my gazillion hacks that didn't like it..

I don't think any of Pescado's mods are really meant to let you just watch the sims while they do something on their own. You can power idle them so they won't do stupid stuff on their own, but you still hafta one way or another tell them what to do - just not click so much to do it. I think.

Yeah, I didn't mean it the way it sounded. See, I have these filler families that I need to produce children, but I have this sick want of them having memories from the start - I don't really wanna play them, but I want their children to have memories that they make. I'd like them to be fully lived when I pair their children with my favorite families' children.. Smiley Once I let one family live on their own when I went to bed (and had a good five-houry sleep) and only one teenage sim survived..

The point I was trying to make was that if the Maxian creeps had worked on the AI a bit more, their free-willed lives would be longer and safer. I used to run only idiotism-removing hacks, but I guess I'll have to start running hacks that really change the game-play.

I always thought free will lets them live on their own, not burn the whole place down.

Thanks for the polite answer to the harsh set of opinions Smiley

make use of Macrotastics, found on this very website.

At this point I'm willing to try everything. Smiley
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / My Sims 2 Is broken.. on: 2007 April 08, 16:03:46
Yeah, hi

(btw fist post <3)

My Sims 2 is borkend:

The NPC's walk in their shorts delivering post when it's like -30 outside and there's snow up to their knees. Why?! NPC's can't afford outerwear?
Okay, it's snowing, but why doesn't the roadside grass get any snow? Looks stupid, btw..
No snow on the driveway?
Sims go hog the "¤"#¤"#¤"#¤ bookshelf and keep reading the stupid books even if they are totally happy. Why?! Why can't they take a learning book instead of a useless novel?
How hard is it to go to the dresser (if one exists in the same room they sleep in), put some clothes on and go get breakfast.. I'd like to be able to leave my sims alone for 15 minutes when I go take a shower...
Why don't they make food for the whole family if they're hungry? My three adult sims line up to the fridge and they all prepare one meal - for theirselves!

Stupid EA has sold me almost €250 worth crap..
