"I don't know, Frank, that Jfade hasn't really done much of ANYTHING lately. I don't think he'll update the new world he made." Frank shot back a bored look. "It's just that he said in SEPTEMBER that he was going to do an update, but it's NOVEMBER and we haven't heard anything!" Frank stared doubtfully. "Look, he's a lazy slacker punk. That's his schtick, I get that, but he still should support the crap he made. I mean, I could place new stuff myself with the in-game world editor, which he will no doubt do himself, but I shouldn't have to do that. It'd take me a few hours, at most, but JFADE needs to do it because it's HIS world." Frank blinked, meowed, and then started licking himself. "I guess you're right, Frank," the random downloader sighed. "You're the only one who understands me..." -------------- NEW! IMPROVED! EDITED FOR SUPERNATURAL (BARF) AND SEASONS! Jfadeworld 2.0, AwesomeMod Ready Save has been updated for Supernatural and Seasons. All new lots and rabbitholes are in place, with one exception: I couldn't create a new beach property. I'd have to edit in CAW, but almost all decor and many tweaks were placed in the in-game editor in the AwesomeMod-ready save file. Therefore, to update this hood "properly", I'd have to redo all that, and that's not about to happen, so NYAH. Changes: - Supernatural gypsy hut placed (trailer court area) - Supernatural hangout placed (south of military base) - Supernatural scroll rabbithole thing placed (next to existing library) - Supernatural vampire lounge placed (in the former spot of the criminal rabbithole. Criminal rabbithole moved across the street.) - Supernatural fairy garden crap placed (behind the stadium) - Seasons festival area added (south of the military base) - New fishing lot (stolen from Riverview, the fish hatchery) placed (near the lighthouse) Download the new AM Save File TODAY!

So I've been playing this town for a few hours tonight. So far I love it. No routing problems so far or anything like that. There are just a few minor annoyances. Many of the homes do not have descriptions of how many bedrooms/baths they have. Also, I did not notice any 60x60 empty lots for the casino. You might want to move the junkyard as well. It just feels wrong being next to the grocery. Probably belongs closer to the trailer homes. Just minor stuff, but thought you'd like the feedback.
Hrm, good point about the descriptions. I did that in the previous version but didn't think to do it this time. I will fix this, however, it will be after I install Supernatural. I did not know there was a casino. That must be a store download. You can remove one of the larger buildings on the 64x64 lots and use that, or as someone suggested below, add one. There is room. I think there is more than one grocery. The junkyard is in the shadier part of town. It's a quirk. Feel free to move it if you'd like, though. I do appreciate the feedback, but some things are strictly edit yourself, in a way... I can't find the following saltwater fish for my sim with level 6 fishing: anchovy, jellyfish, tuna, clownfish, blowfish. I can't see any saltwater spots using the collection helper, and AM's "fish for" macro can't detect them either.
Three lots seem to have been affected by that bug where if you put down a lot that has spawners, the game places spawners in every rotation you try before you place the lot. Some of the fishing spawners on these lots are on land. - Willow Acres Park - Landgraab Industries Science Facility (the spawners under the building are confusing AM's fishing skill macro, as they are unroutable) - Manning Memorial Cemetary
I don't think I put saltwater fishing spots. I'll shove some out by the lighthouse in the next version, and add some others for the other kinds of fish. Interesting, re: the spawners on land. I'll edit that too. Thanks! I'm planning on installing Supernatural soon, so these edits will have to come after that.

jfade, I think it looks terrific and is very functional. I like functional. I recently tried the new EA island world. It's pretty but takes half the day to get anywhere.
However, did you put any beaches in? I hear beach swimming is coming back.
Thanks witch! I did not put any beaches in. I thought about it, but never did. However, the shoreline shouldn't be too steep for you to add a beach via the in-game world editor. Just plop down a new lot (probably near the lighthouse) and adjust elevation as needed. I might eventually do that myself in a new save file once things need updated for new EPs. Yay! I'm excited to play it. SO... Are you going to update for Supernatural?
That's why I pushed it out today, even though there was some more editing I would've liked to do. (Needs more lighting, for instance.) I wanted to get this out before I installed the 1.38 patch/EP so that people without Supernatural could play it. I will probably eventually make another new save file, as needed. Honestly, though, I don't think the new EP adds any new lot types, does it? I might be behind on the times, because I have not been reading the L&P, mostly because I don't care. I'm looking forward to Seasons more, and will update as necessary for that.

For a long time, I've been saying that Jfadeworld would be getting updated "Real Soon Now", but it quickly became clear that it wasn't going to happen. Partly because I'm "lazy" and partly because it'd be such a huge undertaking that it wouldn't be worth it. Thus, I present to you Jfadeworld 2.0! NEW! IMPROVED! ISLAND! WHAT IT IS?Jfadeworld 2.0 contains many of the best elements of Jfadeworld 1.0, but in a new and improved form. How is it new and improved? A few major differences: - Smaller map: This world uses a medium map. Slower computers rejoice! - Island: This doesn't have green dead space extending forever. The island setting makes it slightly less boring looking. - Decorated: This time I actually put down some trees, which was the most requested thing in version 1.0. - Fan Favorites Maintained: The trailer court and military base are here as well! - Better Lot Placement: Most lots are placed flush with the street so that there isn't dead space between the skyscrapers and the street. Like Jfadeworld 1.0, Jfadeworld 2.0 has themed quadrants: - Central Core: The central core features many of the Nightlife/Late Night/Hot Date/Whatever it is called buildings. - NE Quad: The NE quad is the grimier part of town and features run down buildings, the criminal career building, the trailer court, abandoned military items (dock and airstrip), and the current, smaller military base. - SE Quad: The SE quad contains starter homes and is a bit friendlier for families. Many of the Ambitions career buildings are near this quadrant, as well as horse stuff. - SW Quad: The SW quad has many stylish, modern apartments and large houses. The movie studios and Showtime venues are located here as well. - NW Quad: The NW quad is where most family oriented sims will want to wind up. The Generations houses are located in this area. Dog Parks and Cat Jungles are located in this quad as well. A trail system runs along the outskirts of the island and is lit at night. Jfadeworld from the Load ScreenJfadeworld with Lot OutlinesBoring Crap and Statistics:The island contains 75 commercial lots and 129 residential lots. For information about how the lots are spread among the quadrants and lot sizes, please refer to this incredibly entertaining and useful spreadsheet. The island contains some lots (mostly apartments) downloaded from Mod The Sims, as well as a lot or two from Jezzer. If you want to see where the lots are from, as well as some insight into my planning process, please refer to this spreadsheet that contains all of the relevant information. Download Links:The base hood can be downloaded by clicking here. IT IS VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you also download and use the Awesomemod Ready save file, even if you do not need the "AM Ready" features (cribs in every house, mainly). This is because I made many, many tweaks in this save file that I didn't make in Create-a-World. Things such as decor, lot placement (some lots are missing in the plain install version) and so on. Do not complain about missing crap if you do not use the AM save. AM Ready Save for PetsAM Ready Save for Supernatural and Seasons (See this post for a list of changes.) At this point, I consider this hood to be pretty much complete, and do not intend on doing updates to it unless something major comes. Any updates will come in the form of another AM save file. Enjoy!

Let's just drop this line of inquiry right now, because I'm not doing it. If you REALLY want to do that, AwesomeMod includes a plugin functionality for use with the Undiscovered Shiny that you can use to write your own plugin. But that's an advanced topic that goes beyond the scope of what a drooler like you is probably capable of. So yeah, y'all just go back to drooling into your bibs and staring derpily at the wall.
Plugin? Undiscovered Shiny? I would like to formally request information about these two topics: May I have information about AwesomeMod plugin capability and the Undiscovered Shiny?

Hi reading all posts decided to ask... have anyone found a safe link with full latest download & updates patch? Someone could point me what to do, i know this game been released long time ago, but just now i got a decent pc to play it trying to get the game now I haven't been following the Sims community that much lately, so I have no idea what's been going on. I know there's a new EP due out soon (Supernatural) but I don't know when. I also just heard about Seasons coming out nearer Christmas. So imagine my surprise when I see the abbreviated thread title of "Razor1911 release..." on the front page next to the forum name. I thought "WHAT? They released the new EP already? Wow! That was so much faster than I thought!" I click through, excited to see the details and see what people are saying about it, only to find out that it wasn't what I thought at all. Instead, SOME NOOB bumped a thread from 2009. About the initial pirated release of the game. SERIOUSLY NOOB? Are you TOO GOOD for GOOGLE? You ignored the necromancer? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

I know that we already have a magical push button (buyarandomtoading) to advance story mode happenings, such as moving people around, getting jobs, making babbies, sending sims out on dates, etc. but it gets a bit tiresome to have to type this in over and over to get things to happen. I have informonstoryaction set to true, and, maybe it's not entirely accurate in its reporting, but it seems like unless I use buyarandomtoading, certain things do not happen.
I'll give you an example: In my new hood, there are a LOT of single people, but it seems like they're not dating or getting married nearly fast enough. After a more than a week, most of them only had friends or loose romantic pairings, very few had gone into a "steady" relationship (actually, only one), and that was the furthest any of them got. And that's WITH me typing in buyarandomtoading nightly in the game while my Sims are sleeping.
So, I guess my request (or is it a question?) is: Can we get a super ultra magical push button that will run any and all pending story mode actions at once? It'll execute all the moves, send Sims on all the dates, and make people get all the jobs possible at the same time. Or, alternatively, am I being too impatient, and how long should I expect to wait for Awesome Story Driver to get couples in my town hitched and started on making the next generation so that my playables can do the same?

I saw that you're planning to update for pets eventually, are you going to update for showtime too?
Yes. I've already updated it for my own purposes. I'll have to copy the file and upload the new save, probably sometime next week. I'm already working on another hood that is similar to this, but on a medium sized map instead of large, so that it's less laggy. I hope to have that done sometime next month...

I'm going to hold off on this for the time being, mostly because AM hasn't been updated yet, but I guess I just need to get the incremental instead of the Superpatch once I'm ready. My guess is that we'll see 1.34 soon anyhow.

I agree with the SNES MK love, but Double Dash has toadette. Along with the BLUE SHELL OF DOOM.
Yes. Being winrar of mushrooms, I can see how toadette would sway you. SOOZE, on the other hand, has no excuse. I know it makes me a philistine but I have the fondest memories for Mario Kart 64 out of all the MK games. Sorry, but nothing beats finally making that jump through the waterfall on Koopa Beach or smacking your little brother off Skyscraper (aka the work of the devil).
HEM. I would make a snarky comment in regard to your pending punishment and how well deserved it would be, but I am above such things. /sniff What can I say? N64 was the console of my childhood, therefore everything on N64 is instantly better than everything that's not on N64. Same here. In fact, I was going to respond last night to this effect (N64 Mario Kart is the best) but I got distracted by SHINY THINGS elsewhere. I didn't have a Gamecube to play Double Dash on, but I've played it since, and I've not been super impressed. N64 has biased me.

The latest test Awesome threw this FSE as I was quitting the game. During the game, the clock had stopped at Sunday 9:04 PM but time still passed.
<FSE> <Error>Sims3.SimIFace.ResetException: Exception of type Sims3.SimIFace.ResetException was thrown.</Error> </FSE>
Probably unrelated, but at times a Sim would sit in a car or taxi for a long while doing nothing when they had 'go home' in their queue.
I had the same error when I saved and quit last night. It seemed like the save was successful (the blurred out image was still on screen, then went to black as normal when the game is finally quitting, and that's when the error popped up). I don't know if the save actually worked then, or not, but I'll go in tonight and find out.

Say what you will, but the game is working, which is better than what was going on before. Given "what was going on before" was likely from PEBKAC issues, I don't think your experience is relevant to anyone else here.

Odd thing is many of my sims don't get pregnant the first time in "Try for Baby". And I've never had one fall pregnant under just Woohoo. lol
That's not odd. That's how the game works. I can't remember the exact figures, as I've fiddled with it in in my game, but trying for a baby gives something like a 50% chance of getting pregnant. And no one falls pregnant from standard woohoo in your game because they're not supposed to. Stop being such an idiot. I was using sarcasm. I thought that was obvious. No. It wasn't obvious. The way you spout misinformation everywhere else on the forum, anyone would be excused for thinking that you believed this to be true as well. The addition of "lol" at the end of a sentence doesn't automatically make it "sarcasm", it just makes you look like an idiot.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: CAS Sliders Not Showing Up
|
on: 2012 February 24, 14:48:16
|
I looked at other topics about this, and went on MTS and found nothing relevent because there were no topics based on a Mac.
I did many similar things to the other posts, I took out every other custom files including the custom neighborhoods and Sims3pack files, replaced the sliders, the slider hack and recource. file, tried multiple other slider hacks and the for some weird reason the CC only works if I don't use framework.
I had a belly slider, Johna's Sliders and a few others in the game before I downloaded some corrupted files, then I removed all the bad files, and this was thing that didn't work after I fixed it.
Is this an actual problem, or is it just because EA coding hates Macs? And if it's not just coding, does anyone know how to fix this? This sounds an awful lot like a Framework fail to me. You're going to want to make sure that you have the framework installed correctly. I can't speak as to how that works on a Mac because I'm on a Windows machine, but a few EPs ago, EA changed something, and now the framework can be installed differently. So, make sure you have the framework installed correctly, and all in the right places. The other thing is, for custom sliders to show up properly (or at least to increase the limit) you do need a hack. However, Awesomemod also fixes the issue, so if you're using Awesomemod, you DO NOT need to use jonha's slider hack, just the slider packages. As a side note, jonha's sliders do show up in Pets, if you're running that EP, but they're mostly broken. Something about the bone weights/skeleton/whatever changed and now the sliders often produce incorrect and funny results. So if you have pets, you might not have to worry about the sliders. (Not all of them are broken, but I recall that several are.) Also, if you're using any hack that alters the CAS UI, remove it to be sure it's not conflicting. I recall that being an issue at some point or another as well. Basically, it sounds like you need to start from scratch and make absolutely sure that your Framework is set up correctly.

This isn't quite what you're asking, but jfadeland has plenty of straight streets for ploping down lots from the various eps. I think he plans to update it through pets, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
Yeah, planning on it when I get time. Actually, I might have time tomorrow or this coming weekend... * jfade ponders I can see how Jfadeworld would be good for some people, but I prefer worlds with trees and pretty and some variation in the terrain, unfortunately. The only world I've found that comes close is the updated version of Queenstown at Awesims, but the lots are REALLY close together which makes for a confusing map sometimes and there are multiple rabbit holes (as in, more than one bookstore etc. on the same lot) which I HATE.
Heh, this is one of my own complaints. Before I just wanted to get it DONE and so quit before really decorating. I can't promise there'll be LOTS of decor next round but I'm going to do something about it. Of course, I also have lots with multiple rabbit holes together, so, might not qualify anyhow. I really rate MySimRealty's worlds, especially Redwood Harbor, though that is an older one, not updated for Pets. I did manage to find space for the riding school whatsit and a horse park, though space is a bit tight, and obviously it does not really fit Late Night style clubbing (fine by me as there are never any blooming sims in my clubs in the first place). Holy crap, do want.

Yeah, I've had this on a fairly regular basis. I recall that it was also suggested that it had something to do with the ambient noises generated by some of the Late Night buildings. I never did find out for sure what caused it. If you search, several suggestions are made, and I tried a few, but I still had it occasionally. * jfade shrugs I just ignore it when it happens when I play, which isn't very often anymore. I'm hoping Pets will get me interested again, but I'm holding out to see if the issues with CC are fixed before I install it.

That would be great. I'm loving the lay out of it as it is now, but I've not actually played it yet. It wasn't out of badness for the world, I just found it a little distracting that there weren't any trees and hills in the distance . Are there any spawners in the game? Yes, I did put bug, rock, etc. spawners in.

Will you be releasing a version for people to edit in CAW? I love the look of this world, but I haven't played it yet. All that I would want to change is to add some trees and hills in the distance, other than that, it's perfect. I suppose I could do that. I've been meaning to release an update myself. When I do that I'll zip up the CAW files and throw those up here.

Aside from some of the houses having the expanded menu names instead of the actual house names, I haven't found any problems with this hood. I do wonder if, in the next version, you could paint the beaches with sand. I know it sounds weird, but my beach community lot just looks odd as being the only yellow spot on the map. Or I could get the file and do it my own damn self. Either way.
Quoth the first post: For some reason, several of the Nightlife and Ambitions lots had funky errors with them, name wise, when installed. I've included an empty save file where I've renamed them back to what they should be. You don't NEED the file, but it may save some time. Which lot is that? The beach lot in the middle of nowhere in the upper left? I pretty much forgot about that place. Probably should fix that.
