1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Town Life Stuff RELOADED torrent on: 2011 July 28, 06:38:55
Is this working for anyone? I've downloaded the torrent three times now from different places, loaded by different users, and I first got an error in the checking once it downloaded. Tried again, and then there was a cyclic redundancy error while trying to open the temp files to install. Trying a third time now, hopefully that will be the charm. I've never had this much trouble getting any torrent before.

See that file called "readme"? It's meant to be read.
SERIOUSLY, SHUT UP CLAERIC.  YOU ARE NOT HELPING ANYTHING.
My advice: don't use the crack.  Just use Twallanian no-cd, and you are set for life.

Thanks! That worked for me.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Unable to start game Generations on: 2011 June 06, 22:07:54
When I try to start the game I get the following message:
Unable to start game
Service Initiation Failed (0x0175dcbb)

Its the Reloaded version, everything has been update, installation went without a hitch, used the no-cd hack, now have AM installed to see if it would help thinking the no-cd hack was the problem. Also, the contents in the Bin folder doesn't have the TSLHost.dll file and none of the folders and some other files are no longer in there as compared to previous contents that have been in the Bin folders of all the other EP & SP's.

I've used the Reloaded versions for pretty much all my arr'ed stuff and never had any trouble with them before. Has this all changed with Generations? Should I be putting the TSLHost.dll file in the Bin folder or leave it out since there isn't one to replace. The only .dll file I see is Sims3EP04GDF.dll   I'm confused on what to do now. Could the problem be with the torrent?

4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Testing the waters: What do you want in a 'hood? on: 2011 March 27, 17:01:23
My ideal hood would have some starter houses. I enjoy building myself, so housing really isn't important so much as having all the spawners, clubs and other businesses already set. Then just give me plenty of room to build, lots of lots from say 20x30 and larger. I have yet to build anything that needs spawners at this point but eventually I'm sure I'll start messing with them too in order to give them a more contemporary look.
So far my favorite CAW is one called Milton. I either got it here or on MTS. I forget which. And for those who like to build on nice flat terrains, I love RichDre's Builder. He's now at {bearmtncreations4sims3.com }
There are also several on {www.the-isz.com/theisz/} that are good. Haven't played many from there however.
Thanks to the others that posted up and critiqued some other CAW Hoods. I'm always on the hunt for good hoods.

At the rate its downloading maybe I'll have it by the time the next patch is available and AM is all ready to go with it. I guess I need to do like Pes and just forget about it and quit looking to see how much progress its made.
6  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Why am I still getting the Update warning? on: 2010 July 17, 21:16:45
I was getting that too and wondering WTF? Glad to know there is a newer shinier model out now.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 July 10, 21:17:29
Thank you for the info Goddess. Since the all clear has been sounded I'll go ahead on with the patch. I've also just d/l'ed a crap-ton of new CC but I'll wait to make sure this is running smoothly before I start the tedious job of installing it all.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid Sims 3 patch on: 2010 July 10, 06:44:58
EA has posted a new version of CAW.  You must uninstall the old and install the new for it to work.

I just hope we can actually create worlds a little more easily now if its truly repaired. Thanks for the heads up on it.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 July 10, 05:58:11
Warning Goddess. Persons have said that CAW still fails to function properly.

Yes, I'm glad I thought to read the forum before doing anything… Well the Champagne is already open; might as well get drunk!

The patch = "It's a trap!"

Same here. I just knew I should check here first before allowing EA to totally bork my game. I'll wait for that update until I see here that its safe to install it.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV: Anybody Updating These Abandoned Mods? on: 2007 September 23, 23:09:29
I've got LizLove's Waterbed of Love and its working fine so far. I haven't tested it extensively as I'm still trying to get all my other CC into the game without it crashing, but I'll be happy to report back later when I've had the chance to do so.

Thanks so much for this thread. I appreciate all the time and effort put in to it.
11  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Juicer Tweaks - Recipe Book, Stocked Produce Count, and More! on: 2007 March 15, 07:32:32
As had been said repeatedly already, a million thanks! This will be so useful in the game.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Video Card Upgrade on: 2007 March 07, 07:07:20
KLGFGC, now this is something I know about unlike picking out the right card. I would install the power supply first, then the ram and then the video card. Not that the order as far as the ram and PSU matters, I just think it makes more sense.
As far as the game recognizing the card, I'm sure it will do just fine.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Video Card Upgrade on: 2007 March 07, 01:26:48
First of all, you're probably better off switching to an ATI card, as far as TS2 is concerned.  I found an x1300   Newegg has it for $5 less outright, plus their shipping is less, on top of that.

Smiley Thank you for the information. I'm going to call TigerDirect in the morning and see if there is any way I can get a refund or exchange.

I think the problem with knowing what card to get is in not knowing what to look for in a video card. What would you recommend for others to research before deciding on what card to get? If its not ram, then what specifically do you look for?

Again, I appreciate your willingness to shed some light and give advice on this. I can piece together systems from the ground up but as far as I've gotten in to it, a video card is a video card and I would love to know more about what makes one kick butt as opposed to just barely getting the job done.

Pythia, its hard to believe that when you consider I built this pc just a little over a year ago that it is already so outdated. Technology moves way too fast sometimes!  Wink
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Video Card Upgrade on: 2007 March 06, 22:04:19
I didn't realize I was downgrading. I thought, apparently erroneously, that more ram on the card was an upgrade. I bought it from TigerDirect. And I know its been shipped already. Bought it last night, shipped it early this morning. I'll have to check what their exchange policy is. TigerDirect is where I buy most of the pc components I purchase from but I've never had to exchange anything. What would you recommend for a PCI slot? (Just PCI, not PCI-e
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Video Card Upgrade on: 2007 March 06, 19:28:05
Hi, I'm a lurker who just joined. I thought I would jump in and ask if I just screwed up with the new video card I ordered. Its a GeForce FX5200 256m. I currently have the FX5500 128mb card. My system has 2g ram and my cpu is AMD Athalon 64 3200+ and I have a 550w PSU (Custom build, not box pc's for me!). Since installing Seasons, I've had to use the useshaders cheat to see the fish in the ponds, always had to for the tanks. But I get tons of lag on my larger lots when it rains or snows. I was hoping more memory on the card would solve that problem. I sure hope I didn't just waste $80~

Any advice?
