1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sim (un)stuck in space on: 2012 March 30, 18:30:14
I deleted the sim (per Pescado's orders) after placing the inventory junk in a safe location, then exited to Edit town, switched family and switched back to make the sim regenerate, and it seems to be solved. So far at least!
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sim (un)stuck in space on: 2012 March 30, 14:06:34
Have you tried force-resetting the sim?

Is that different from resetsim name/name?
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Sim (un)stuck in space on: 2012 March 30, 13:38:06
I have a sim who is clearly borked, in some way that is beyond my understanding.

The sim in question will not use stairs from ground to foundation, but will instead walk on air/levitate up on it. Sometimes it will levitate up to second floor height and then descend to the foundation. It will also be visible on the non-viewing level (it will be sleeping on air on the second floor, for example, when my viewing level is the first floor, so the bed disappears but the sim doesn't). Right now it is stuck in the back garden with persistent routing failure.

When this started/I first noticed it, I found the sim standing on air outside the window it was looking through. I moveobjects on-lifted it inside. Did that cause the rest of the borkage?

I have the latest patch and the latest AM, all EP:s except OMGPETZ and Showtime. I have tried resetting the sim but it is still stuck, and fixall fixes other stuff but not this. No other mods except Buzz's Same energy gain for all beds and a wooden floor plank directional fix, but the problem persists even with these mods removed. I didn't try without AM.

Has anyone seen this before?

Amusing video clip of sim walking on invisable stairs can be found here: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/lolkofi/Video-2.avi (playable in VLC even if browser player fails).
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Please Help. For I Am Bored. on: 2011 November 28, 17:37:08
I have run out of things to do in Sims 3. I have all expansion packs and all stuff packs and yet I have become EXTREMELY bored with the game all together. Can any1 offer suggestions as to how to spice up my game? I didn't post this in the Sims forums because I don't believe they can truly help me with this problem since they don't have all of the awesome goodness of the mods on this site. All suggestions are welcome. Even the cruel and creepy ones.

I'm guessing you came up with the brilliant idea to troll MATY all on your own?

Given the content of said post, one might even argue that a single thread is too much.

That is true.

Posting this drivel in one thread is quite enough, thank you.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Dobbin's Delight, a residence. Does not contain horse whisperer secrets. on: 2011 November 14, 16:22:21
I used to live in Sweden, having the same tiles in the bathroom and kitchen would be a no-no. Norm is white tiles (usually linoleum on the floor) in bathrooms and something else in the kitchen. Some kitchens only have tiles behind the sink area, like my mom's - the tiles are actually white but there's so few you don't think 'bathroom' when you see them. I never really thought of the tiles stuff but as much as I recall, I haven't come across a kitchen and bathroom with the same floor and/or complete wall tiles during the 14 years I lived there. I have probably come across linoleum being the same all through a house, usually older and not recently renovated. Eh, I think people are quite conscious about their houses and put a lot of thought when renovating. A friend of mine would probably rather die than have the same tiles in her two bathrooms.

Thanks, I'll try the magic light thing.

I don't think I've ever even seen a kitchen here with tiled floors.

Find the setting to make the BSoD show if you haven't already, and google the shit out of the error code. Otherwise I think  your guess is as good as ours.

This will be fun.

Why are you rewarding bad behaviour? If you don't agree with MATY policy, go somewhere else where you fit in. Don't be an ass, OK?
Sarcasm?

Haha! Yes, I should probably have looked at the link more closely.

Can anyone send me an actual link to said fixes?

No.

I never claimed to be special. But thanks for it.
After reading this thread, I see the solution was not found. I see a suggestion but not a fix.
On July 6, 2011 this was posted:
"We're aware of what causes the problem already. Unfortunately, you will have to revert to your pre-return-from-vacation save to ensure a clean sweep of the problem. Grab the latest AwesomeMod"
However, after installing the latest AwesomeMod, the problem still exists.

Annan, somehow I'm feeling special after knowing I respect others after they insult me.

It is amazing how you can quote the answer and still not get it. How do you remember how to breathe?
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sleepy jump bug on: 2011 August 21, 20:57:56
Annan. Why are you so bitter? I said thanks to your response before.
Anyway if anyone finds a solutions please let me know.
Thanks.

The solution is in this thread, stupid noob. Don't expect to be told it personally when it is findable by SEARCHING MOAR. What do you think you are? Special?
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sleepy jump bug on: 2011 August 21, 20:24:08
Hi all. I see this topic is old but I was directed here about my game issue.
My sim also cannot stay in bed for longer than 20 minutes (sims time). It happens only after I send my sim to travel.  I have a copy of my game (thank God) before the travel, and I keep using it to test what could fix this but nothing works. I deleted all mods and tried batches at a time to find what is causing the glitch, but found nothing. I also played without custom content and nothing.
Did any of you found a solution to this?
Thanks.

DID YOU NOT READ THE THREAD WHEN I WAS NICE AND HELPED YOU FIND IT? Stupid noobs.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: My sims keep jumping out of bed after traveling on: 2011 August 21, 19:26:36
I am going to be nice, because it has been a good day: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,20466.0.html

Next time, search more before starting a thread. This is your friendly reminder. Next time: sporks.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Eco friendly family house on: 2011 July 08, 18:55:35
Ah, yes, here they are referred to double paned or double hung windows, some even offer TRIPLE paned blah blah blah. My mistake, wasn't aware they were called a different thing elsewhere.  Still doesn't explain your water slide fail. But the back peddling is funny.

"Hurrrrr Nice house, but snarky comment hurrrrr"
"Actually..."
"Hurrrrr Not all the time, because of local topgraphy and climate and other real world things huuuuuuurrrrr"
"Here are some real world facts"
"Huuuuurrrrrrrr it's an imaginary house, why are you bringing up real world stuff? hurrrrrr"

My personal favorite was "I said seemed, so because it was an opinion facts don't apply".
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Very Important !!! Question about fix for spellbook on: 2011 July 05, 15:16:51
"Barely literal" seems overly harsh as it is ESL.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sleepy jump bug on: 2011 July 05, 14:55:03
Perhaps I should add that while the sims could sleep after nuking the impostors, four of six sims in my family lost all tags/filters in map view and buying simbots didn't withdraw any aspiration points, so I assumed the hood was hosed and started a new one.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Sleepy jump bug on: 2011 July 04, 10:38:37
Since installing the latest patch (or rather, all the patches since november 2010) some of my sims can't sleep. They are attacked by some sort of jump bug that catapults them out of bed and cancels the sleep action. They get about 30-60 sim-minutes of sleep before the sleeping is cancelled.

I have tried with and without AM, with and without CC, and it still happens. Selling the beds didn't help. The only sims affected had double beds, so I replaced them with single beds. Didn't help. Resetting the sims does nothing. Fixall does nothing.

Does anyone have moar smart tips on how to deal with this? Re-install and hope it goes away?

Game says it is version 4.9.5.011031, I have WA, HELS and AMB. No mods except AM. CC = clothes and hair.

ETA: After consulting Pescado with error logs it seems I had impostors in my hood. Nuking them seems to have fixed the problem.
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Random jingle on: 2011 June 01, 17:09:18
I didn't say it was a late night jingle, dipshit, I said the bug started with late night. The late night patch fucked something up. Just like in the other topic- if you fucking senators would get your heads out of your asses and actually read the things you respond to instead of being so hell bent on trying desperately to enlarge your internet penises maybe you'd understand something the first time for once. "Ever since late night it happens" does not mean "This noise came with late night".

Perhaps, if it bothers you to be picked on for being incorrect and unclear about what is facts, guesses and just stupid wordings, you should make sure that you phrase your posts so that no miscommunication is possible.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Sims 3 Generations imaginary friend doll on: 2011 June 01, 17:06:55
1. Grammar and spelling, please.

2. Don't double post. There is an edit button.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Random jingle on: 2011 June 01, 11:01:14
No, I said I *haven't* encountered it *since* installing Generations. It came with Late Night. Generations seems to have fixed it.

Would you stop treat guesses as facts? I stopped playing at Ambitions and was bugged by this also. It is not a LN jingle.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: More Awful Than You - March on: 2011 April 07, 11:00:01
When you use the most extreme examples of both fandoms I guess it just depends on what you find to be worse; bestiality or pedophilia.

I get that you frame this as an either-or question because you want us to "admit" that furries are way less yucky than pedophiles, but I think most of us have no problems at all with finding both equally disgusting.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Anyone using a Macbook pro here? on: 2011 February 11, 10:39:52
It's fast, easy to use, rarely has any problems, is light and portable, converted me to trackpad use, etc etc. jeromy will be foaming at the mouth right about now.
Yes, and it's also $500 overpriced, a pain in the ass to game on, and prone to overheating.  Also, I see no way in which Windows isn't "easy to use".

Let's see, I previously owned an HP Pavillion, which a)overheated like you could not imagine, and B)was about as portable as a t-Rex. Seriously, the overheating was a sight to see. It Heated our whole flat for a year, unti it finally gave up. Yes, it games, but aside from that it was no where near as good as my Mac, which cost like £750 to its £650.

Hur, yes! My PC laptop also overheated like crazy. I never even tried to play games on it. Actually, it never got so far as to displaying any signs of overheating except the fan would always be on max. The fan speeded up for graphic-heavy websites, even. I once brought it to an office where I worked, and when I went to lunch the others went looking for THAT AWFUL SOUND. My MBP at least lets me hear my own thoughts.

Protip, though: don't play on a laptop you want to keep. They are not made for moving heat. Games go on desktops!
