1  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sims 4 Annoyance & Problem Thread. on: 2014 September 22, 01:54:55
Doesn't seem to matter if they live in a house or not, sims just randomly come up missing.  They disappear from the game totally, no longer related to anyone, no memory of them, no evidence of ever existing at all.

Added Sunset Valley to post cards.

Found an alien, Live Space Squid.  First row, first column.

Space Print: first column, last row - Seeing Red

On the computer select socialize, find pen pal. Keep checking back until you get a reply then write them a letter.  Check back later and the "request a postcard" will be available.  It will show up in the mail the next time the mail runs.  I have been immediately requesting a new pen pal to keep it going.

I have that also but it appears to be a graphic glitch.  If I click to another sim or tab then click back the points have been deducted.

6  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Long pauses on: 2009 September 07, 22:20:56
I can confirm that it appears to be an EA issue.  As the hood population got larger the problem got worse and worse until I just deleted the hood and started over.
I have a computer way over recommended specs.    The hood population was nearing 100, not counting NPCs.  Killing the townies would help for a few sim days till they re-spawned.

Starting a new empty hood with 1 sim family, all same mods and CC the game is again playable.

I will happily contribute to the cause if I can have access to a tard free zone.  I plan on it anyway but I might be able to dig a bit deeper to be free of tardism and be able to remove myself back to lurker status.

The cars are not ghostly, just the drivers.

The purple is for abandon vehicles, I have not seen a way to turn it off.  It is there for your protection since those vehicles seem to cause problems if not removed.  Try typing towderelicts in the cheat window to remove them.  Try searching on purple, there are mentions of it all over the place.

Hi,

Just wanted to ask what does the setting "AutoSavesToKeep" do.

I'd like to make assumptions but the description "Autosave Every X Minutes (0 to disable)" does not seem to match the title. My first impression that it keeps 2 saves before overwriting the previous hence the "2" setting. Just wanted to verify this.

Thanks.

AutoSaves = how many saves to you want to keep

AutoSave Every x minutes = how often to you want it to save?  every 20 minutes?  Hour?

RockerMonkey = that question is answered several times a day hour.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The House Phone Only Rings When... on: 2009 August 21, 18:46:52
Even with no house phone I still get notifications that so-n-so has a short time to live, then the next day that so-n-so has died.  There is no reason to have a house phone (IMO)

Agreed.  And why oh why do I need a different maid for each day of the week?
13  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Story Driver Beta-Testing reports on: 2009 August 12, 12:20:27
With the multigeneration household scenario, if the house is getting too small for them all, and there are elders, what about the idea of moving the elders out into a smaller house instead?  Can the mod work out how many floor levels there are in a house?  It could try to get the old guys into a bungalow.

I have had that happen twice now in game.  I left a few small (1 bedroom) houses without cribs.  All the babies drove the elders out into those houses.
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Story Driver Beta-Testing reports on: 2009 August 11, 19:58:33
You don't need a bed for the baby as well as a crib: When the child grows up, the fambly will just move to a bigger house.

That's good to know. I've been shoving cribs and beds into the empty houses.

I have also determined that leaving a few of the 1 bedroom starter homes without cribs will attract the family elders.  Several families in my aging hood got married & started spawning, I received notices that the (grand) parents relocated to these homes.  Nice feature (side effect) to clear the old folks out of the family home.

Just downloaded updated to the newest AwesomeMod (8/10/09 15:36).  Happy to report 2 announcements of successful pollination of the neighborhood in 30 minutes.
16  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Newbie here..please help? on: 2009 August 08, 11:08:19
Did you delete all 4 files with cache in them?  I only see 1 mentioned.

Did you try holding down ctrl AND shift when clicking on a sim?  Didn't notice that combination in your post even tho Greyform mentioned it.  Using BOTH keys at the same time with a click will bring up additional options.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Hex values for favorite colors on: 2009 August 05, 00:36:37
Don't know how close these are to what EA used but try this: http://www.december.com/html/spec/colorhex.html

I don't really know if it makes that much difference to a sim.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Unoccupied House disappears with Story Progression? on: 2009 July 15, 20:49:37
The diner disappeared from my game.  There is just an empty lot there now.

To my knowledge no houses have disappeared.  I did have 1 house show up that I do not recall putting there, it was just an empty lot next door to my active sims.  I shut down the game, the next time I play a house and neighbors have appeared.

Have you tried clicking on the stove?  I had similar problem with the cooking, something had been left in the stove.

Some people just have to complain about everything.
Don't like the decor you know how to find the door.

21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sex on: 2009 June 07, 16:38:19
I had similar problem with a female playable.  The partner I selected for her had the "commitment issues" trait.  I finally gave up and had them move in together using the merge option in the edit town.  They lived together until old age death but never got an interaction to change to a committed relationship.

Edit:  I had moved in sims both before and after this, the option never appeared in ANY menu option.

How to deliver group meal - if someone already posted the solution shoot me.

Make the meal, drag it to the sim's icon on the left & drop it,  go to map, a bubble will appear where that person is at, click on it, a menu option will appear to deliver the meal.

25  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Sims stuck on vacation on: 2007 October 12, 16:20:49
I have had that happen a few times.  I gave up on getting them home and went back to the main hood to play with another family. The entire family was gone on vacation but the plumbbob was lit up normally.

I entered the lot, family arrived and sim life continued as normal.
