I got a hard copy at the store. It comes with 2 disks. You still need to use Origin to run the game. I believe you only have to be in online mode to register the game then you are good to go with offline.
I played for a few hours and didn't experience any major glitches besides clipping.

I'm looking for a working no wild animals mod. I tried the one over at MTS, but it doesn't seem to work properly. I have done a google search and checked the finds blog with no luck.

I believe you are probably going to be in need of a fresh install. Sucks, but you'll be able to install your store stuff, patch, then use the fix.

This stuff is confusing to all us non-techie people, just read carefully, and go step by step and you'll get it working.
