TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Custom eyebrows

I guess the mods had a change of mind, as I noticed today there is a 'no eyebrow' look available for download. I think more styles and even defaults to the existing one's would be more than welcome by the community.

Considering these are not default replacements, It think with a little bit of tuning they could be useful to people creating unique sims. I also think the Jewelled/dots need to be smaller slightly.

Really nice that people are trying these things out in the game, we have come so far in such a short time thanks to all the knowledge sharing etc.
At this point I won't be replacing any defaults until I decide how I want my neighbourhood too look. I guess I will wait and see and then decide, but thanks for sharing it here though.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Gender-confused newspaper kids? Or me being ignorant?

In my game I have had females with the following names;
Christopher Parker
and males named;
Carol Tracy Angel Lynne
I guess there is probably somewhere someone named with these gender neutral names, but they are very much uncommon and in my opinion quite odd.
Carol, Tracy, Angel, and Lynne can definitely be boys names! They are somewhat common, especially Angel for a boy in the highly Spanish speaking population where I come from. Parker can totally be female. But Christopher on a girl? No. Oh I don't doubt it, and I was thinking when I typed this up that Angel was probably common in Latin speaking communities as a name. I read on another thread, someone mentioned that they knew a coworker who's baby girl was named Christopher and how much they liked the name. These names are gender neutral no doubt, but still some are not very common.

Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Indie Stone Now with added Awesomeness

Well the versions of Indie Stone and Awesomemod that work together are out now. Grab both and make sure you do not use the Indie core file, just the Indie mod one.
Quoted for those who, like me, fail at reading comprehension. Hooray for good news, in regards to being able to play an enjoyable game! I don't believe I fail at reading comprehension, but I re-read the directions over at least 3 times. No harm in being certain and not causing my computer to go up in a fiery ball and all the rest of the wrath.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims finding new routes for walking stand still for hours.

Don't even get me started on the routefailure at parties! For at least half the party time, they stand outside the front door, waiting for someone to move. I've tried picking them up with moveobjects, and they just snap back where they were. Getting a slice of cake takes FOREVER. Maybe if I had a faster computer, they wouldn't stand around like zombies They do that with my game as well, it's frustrating as heck. If you call them in for a meal they all stand around getting annoyed with each other and dropping plates everywhere.. at the end of it all thanks to 'Legendary Host Status' of my sims they say that had an epic time and leave. Easily impressed Sims they are. LOL

Look on the plus side: even if this hair sucks, at least it is custom, non-replacable hair. That means that hopefully we'll see some good custom hair soon by others Exactly what I was thinking. It's an exciting step towards some wonderful hair for males and females. Some of our existing favourites might be able to be converted as well as new creations and better still with some level of animation. Edited to add; I agree totally that it's no thanks to her, the work put into it by Peggy was minimal and output reflects that. The thanks for any wonderful new hairstyles goes towards those that create and share the knowledge and tools, freely.

Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Using Aging Off/Story Mode Off - game takes 18 minutes to save
|
on: 2009 July 14, 09:57:44

I got fed up with the time it took for my Sunset Valley to save, despite changing things around such as taking mods in and out of game etc. I decided to start a different game using Riverview with about 10 families in total. My saves are now fairly normal and have not experienced any crashes as yet. Having said that, I doubt the problem is gone, just delayed.

I have made a few omnivore critters, and couldn't unlock the right piece so initially I gave it both mouths. I then ate plant and meat matter, after doing this and evolving all my creatures but one have been omnivore. Not sure about the other one or what I did different.
I have evolved a few to Space stage and they have been mostly passive civilisations that dominate via religious or economic means, it's been awesome.

"Homework placed on a desk is inaccessible, so I have to go into Buy mode and move it to the floor."
I have had this issue with this since I first installed AL. I place an object such as a lamp or plant on the table so they can not put the homework there.

Played it today for about 2hrs on another family members PC and had heaps of fun with it, it's very unique to anything else I have ever played. Looking forward to playing some more and figuring out the gameplay further.

Unfortunately a family member pre-ordered it for me, otherwise i would have bought it by now as it's already been released a few days ago here in Australia.
Now I just need to wait till they have the time to go collect it from the store, but it's all good. I am glad I am getting it any day now.
Edited; Got it now, just need to decide which pc to load it on considering the securom issues.

I am disappointed that I wasted days of my sims life teacher her evil spells only to have them disappear when she learnt neutral or good spells.. i didn't think the other spells and craftable items would disappear from her spell book but unfortunately they do.
Oh well, now I know I don't have to waste so much time again.

Annoyed; at the toy dog which is really only a hamster.
Annoyed that someone can steal the apartment garden gnome, but my sim can't place it back down there after retrieving (I am sure there must be a cheat for that).
Also the vending machine seems to place my sims under a spell and they just stare and stare at it without purchasing anything. c'mon it's not a TV set despite the pretty lights.
Love; most of the clothing, especially for the ladies, the witches are awesome too, most of the included furniture is nice, and the waste disposal system is cool too.
<------- time to crawl back to my sick bed now
