1  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! August: Craptacular Stories. on: 2008 August 13, 16:04:57
If videos are included as stories I found this series with subtitles.
It has a plane crash, murder, a sandwich break (while being chased) and plot holes. Cheesy

2  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Game crashes to desktop when trying to add a downtown on: 2008 May 12, 11:52:26
I had this problem but with bluewater (also no merged hoods and not using cd crack) and it crashed to desktop but it still actually created that hood but the terrain had giant holes missing in it. (Maxis Bluewater btw)
This only started happening after I installed Freetime though (patched) I reinstalled everything and added the hoods before I installed FT but I haven't tried it again.
I thought it may have something to do with either the empty hood templates which I probably borked and didn't backup properly or maybe when I patched the game.
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: someone have the bonus of the Happy Holiday stuff? on: 2006 November 11, 13:00:25
Just because I finished Phoenix Wright a few hours ago:
http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go.php?n=1482497

rofl that's brilliant! I want to play that game. Cheesy
Thanks again Sleepycat and thanks sissyangel  Kiss

tae.... your desktop needs cleaning....  Shocked look at all that crap. Plus sometimes it's best to keep your mouth shut than keep digging your own grave.  Cheesy
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: someone have the bonus of the Happy Holiday stuff? on: 2006 November 10, 18:26:19
Um, so are you willing to share the globe? Sleepycat shared the glasses.
I don't know why these darned holiday bonuses are proving so hard to get. All the other ones were easy as pie to get ahold of.

They were?  Shocked I missed out I guess...

Thanks sleepycat  Kiss

When is this released anyway? (in europe) I looked at some sites before but they were all sketchy or had last years.
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do YOU Pleasantview? on: 2006 November 10, 13:54:37
My Pleasantview always ends up backward because Don can't keep to himself.  Roll Eyes
I normally use it as my testing grounds for new things and play strangetown or a custom neighbourhood.
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do you kill pets? on: 2006 November 10, 13:06:37
Well there wasn't an option to add a death token but i spawned Rodney's Death Creator and it had the option die of old age for the pet so I did that then a moment later the Grim Reaper showed up to claim him.  The least Maxis could have done was make it so there's a Dog Grim Reaper, like there is in Family Guy.

That's because everyone goes to the same place when they die so every human that enters those pearly gates gets a kicking from an extinct animal.  Cheesy

If you kill it won't you be hounded (ugh) by his ghost? (unless of course you deleted it) Actually i'd love to see a ghostly sim dog or cat.  Grin
7  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: I...hate...Nvidia on: 2006 October 29, 22:42:57
I've only got weird graphic stuff like that happen since i installed OFB i swear they keep changing the specs on every expansion.  Roll Eyes
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My sims are turning into lushes. on: 2006 August 10, 23:57:16
That's because the sims will have to do SOMETHING, so if you remove their ability to do one annoying action, they'll find a new one to do.

Trying to enforce correct behavior by removing the incorrect options means you're gonna have a LOT of removing to do. If you want them to do only correct behaviors, go with Macro Power Idle.

I think the autonomous actions of townies are more annoying especially the autonomous 'point and laugh at the one idiot townie dancing on the dance floor' since OFB the amount of people on my lots has increased so the amount of people crowding round to point and laugh at the same time has increased.
Funny the first time seeing the whole gang of them laughing but after half hour of NPC's stopping to take an order/serve dinner to laugh gets old fast especially with the date timer going down.   Roll Eyes
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My sims are turning into lushes. on: 2006 August 10, 22:26:50
I swear that everytime there's a stop-autonomous (insert annoyance here) hack sims find a new attraction to something to annoy everyone even more.  Cheesy
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Weird glitch (with pictures!) on: 2006 August 03, 18:30:57
Impaled by a gnome... what a way to go  Cheesy and in the worst area too.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Weird glitch (with pictures!) on: 2006 August 03, 17:17:07
Weirdest Glitch I got was way back with the haunted teddy that moved around the lot.

Praise the almighty teddy  Cheesy
12  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Game crashes and other problems. on: 2006 July 25, 13:01:31
Sorry to revive this thread ^_^;
I get this problem a lot too...
At first my pc would restart but after I got some more Ram it seemed to have cleared that restarting problem up.
But i'm curious as to if it's my graphics card or a program conflict since I used to have conflicts before with sims1 and it turned out to be an art program and dvd player.  Roll Eyes
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Freaky Toddler! on: 2006 July 24, 23:03:57
I had this happened a lot when I only had the the first without the expansions  but i don't see it much anymore... although I've noticed that some of the young adults in simpe have portaits of ... lock jaw. Cheesy  How weird.
I sometimes get that broken arm glitch where a sim's arm sticks out... I thought that was meant to be fixed.  Roll Eyes
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does this make sense? on: 2005 November 03, 19:15:21
the game isn't Poser and it has a lot more to deal with than just taking a still rendered snapshot. Then someone comes along and informs me that Rennie said that the polygon counts didn't matter at all.

When someone was accused for stealing a mesh none of the people on the forum seemed to understand the phase 'do not redistribute as a part etc' then they complained that there was no mention of it in the readme. It made me laugh.
The only way to scare people into doing low polygon counts is to tell them their game will crash and no one will like them anymore  Wink

VS kind of annoyed me because TJ just seemed to vanish into thin air... no post, no nothing... so the first place i came was here. It seems like they're taking out their frustration on innocent bystanders who are just curious to ask. Undecided
Things sure have taken a change over the past year  Cheesy
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Don't Talk, EAT! grrrr on: 2005 October 05, 18:04:48
Welcome to Nightlife.  Tongue

In my game there's this one old lady downtownie who absolutely despises this other downtownie guy who wears a bowling shirt. She's kicked the poor guy's ass several times too and everyone in town keeps gossiping about it. It seems like it never fails that every time I got to a lot those to are there and that old bag jumps him and kicks his ass. I have no idea what started it or why, all I know is since NL if a sim looks at another sim the wrong way it ends up in a knock down drag out fight.

Cheesy I haven't seen the downtownies get into a fight yet.. although they did have a poking match where the guy got so mad he walked off the lot. miss crumplebottom sure is an alcoholic on my lots...

Sims sure do talk a lot at the dinner table... but it's mostly annoying when you're trying to get them off to work/school and their hunger meter isn't going up very fast.... they seem to giggle at nothing too at times  Huh (no one farted or burped)
I didn't realise till I had an open kitchen/living room sims eating can still talk to sims reading a book or sitting down elsewhere.  Smiley
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Phone Sort of Hack on: 2005 September 22, 14:29:21
It's irritating and I have to bend over backwards and jump through hoops not to be driven insane by that damned phone and I'm sick of it.  Angry

I miss the phone hack... it was useful...  but since NL my phone doesn't stop ringing... where before my sims just left it ring and ring they always seem to answer it by themselves. Roll Eyes Sims sure are addicted to downtown.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Another hack question on: 2005 September 22, 14:21:15
I really hate how they limited kids from making almost any food. What kid can't make cereal?  Roll Eyes

They might hurt themselves with a spoon. Cheesy
But that's true... any food that doesn't involve using an oven a kid should be able to make or at least use a microwave.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightlife tip - Birthday cake freshness and the inventory on: 2005 September 22, 14:06:45
birthday cake limbo.

Sounds like heaven to me  Grin and you wouldn't game any weight either until you pop out of limbo.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Ever wondered what a Vampire Zombie looks like? on: 2005 September 21, 12:28:09
Man and I just made some beautiful "pools of blood" eyes. I'll have to try cloning the vampire mask.

Eyes like that would have been cool on alien vampires... i wonder why maxis didn't think of that  Cheesy human eyes on alien especially if it has big eyes... look weird.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why are they fighting? on: 2005 September 21, 12:07:14
Kennedy is the best, my game would be so boring without him. He insults, annoys and slaps everyone. How fun!  Grin

Hehe he does.... he's always the first one to go around insulting people... I haven't met a sim yet that got on well with him  Cheesy
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Mod Idea: Check Fanmail! on: 2005 September 21, 11:43:07
lol I've been a member of this site since its opening, I just lurked before. But it's true your registrations have majorly increased, I've never seen so many people on than at the moment. Something tells me it's because the Maxoid is around and they all come to ask him questions. Just as long as this place doesn't become like the BBS... Anyway, I think this site is the best Sims 2 forum, I've learnt a lot by coming here and reading all the threads.

Posting on the sims2 bbs doesn't get anything answered because they seem to think every problem and bug is down to a graphics card... oh plus the fact they don't like anyone that can spell.  Cheesy
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: NL issue with pay-at-box on: 2005 September 21, 11:35:28
It is not known whether it will be fixable now that mail comes in varieties that have to actually be sorted.
Shame... I loved useful hacks like that... it speeded up time instead of playing hide and seek the bills before they explode because my sims like to automatically bring in the mail Smiley
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The man of her dreams... on: 2005 September 21, 11:28:32
I created a character in strangetown and for some reason the only friends she ever brought home were the grunt boys so I made friends with them. But the odd thing was all 3 seemed to like her and they flirted with her on their own accord...  Shocked talk about causing a drama... (that's how i discovered sims could flirt without being told) and that was before NL sims seem to like flirting with everything that moves even if their married in NL.
Ajay loner keeps flirting with jenny smith since she arrived at his door to welcome him to the neighbourhood  Angry that's annoying because his wants are filled with 'chat with, play with, stalk'. (okay not really stalk but he might as well)  Roll Eyes

Well, Paul's not happy. He slaps, shoves, etc, but she argues with him, saying something about goldfish
Cheesy she's saying 'There's more than one fish in the sea'
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightlife bugs on: 2005 September 21, 11:12:01
Are you running the game in a non-English language?

I have the french version but I've installed it in english language.

I have a UK version so I presume it would work the same  Grin

My friend had a problem where she hired a nanny to look after a child while she was out on a date and called the gyspy and brought a love potion and when it was used the child got taken away by the social... I'm not sure if she has a hack or not... i'd have to ask her.  Roll Eyes
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A few nice features.... on: 2005 September 20, 15:51:28
I noticed that plumbobs look more... shiney. Shocked
Is it me or are sims more expressive at the dinner table now? They seem to chat more and their faces look more emotional Huh

I kind of miss the silly little dancing they used to do to the stereo, I wish they made the dancing downtown separate to the dancing with the stereo at home...
