76  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Bodyshop and CAS Blank Screens and Missing Content on: 2006 September 16, 20:35:00
Sorry it took so long to reply.  I have been painstakingly going through each folder in my downloads trying to isolate which file was causing it.  It turned out to be a hair file of which I have no idea which hair as the file name was mixed numbers and letters, not an actual name.  It took me hours of copying a few files back into my downloads at a time and seeing if messed up, but at least everything seems to work in Bodyshop.  That totally sucked by the way. I must have opened and closed Bodyshop at least a hundred times testing files.  Undecided

Now I have to load the game and see if it fixed the issue in CAS.  My finders are crossed.

This is what I get for having 15 gigs worth of downloads.   Tongue

Thanks for the replies.  It's greatly appreciated.
77  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Bodyshop and CAS Blank Screens and Missing Content on: 2006 September 15, 21:24:16
For quite some time I have been having issues with both Bodyshop and CAS.

When I go into CAS and try to create a male or female sim it is blank.  I can click the random button and then a sim will show up, but there it always loads blank.

When I go into Bodyshop I get the same thing, just blank space where the sim should be.  I can select a custom sim and it will show up, but when I try to change the hair or eyes I can't.  None of my hair or eyes show up, but skintones do.  So basically Bodyshop is now useless and dysfunctional.

I am using Nailati's face template replacements and Louis's skintones for defaults.  I have a buttload of CC so I guess it could be any number of things.

Has anyone come across anything like this before?

79  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Question about deleting character files on: 2006 September 13, 03:08:34
A while back I saw mention of starting a neighborhood and then deleting the character files and rebuilding townies and such.  I for the life of me cannot remember how to do this.  I also remembering reading that it caused some kind of issue, but again I don't remember what it was.

Is there any help anyone could give me on this?

Thanks much.
80  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My Sims always reset when I enter the lots on: 2006 September 04, 04:08:04
I'm glad you mentioned Lizzlove waterbeds.  That ended up being the culprit.  Once those were removed the resetting stopped.

Thanks much to all that replied.  I really appreciate it.
81  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My Sims always reset when I enter the lots on: 2006 September 01, 01:03:49
Something has to be casuing an error every time a lot is loaded then and it would have to be in one of the core controllers most likely.  Have you run with debug mode on and loaded a lot to see if you get any errors?

Yes, I have been running in debug mode in hopes of getting some error, but nothing.  Weird.
82  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My Sims always reset when I enter the lots on: 2006 August 31, 06:10:08
Yep, without fail.  It does this with all of my sims, on all lots in all neighborhoods.  I just have been putting up with it, but was wondering if there was a known reason for it happening.
83  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / My Sims always reset when I enter the lots on: 2006 August 31, 04:48:44
This has been going on since NL.  Every time I enter a lot all of my Sims are standing and their energy is replenished.  I can leave a lot in the middle of the night with them all sleeping, come back and they are all standing with full energy and the babies are on the floor.

Anyone know what the problem may be and how to fix it?

Thanks for any help.
84  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Ok Glamour is installed. Anyone have questions? on: 2006 August 31, 04:44:53
I got it, but it was free.  I had a $20 coupon for Bestbuy and I bought my son a game and this.  So, no money lost, which is cool because this pack sucks ass juice.  It only has a few nice things so I'm glad I paid nothing.

When the next expansion comes out I'll use another $20 coupon (my Bestbuy Rewards rock) and get it cheap.

I'm really sorry you are having a rough time - break-ups DO suck!
No, they don't. Name one logical reason why they'd suck. Think of the LIBERATION. The FREEDOM. The VICTORY!

Unless you lost. But then YOU'RE the loser and YOU are the one that sucks.

People suck in general.  All people suck, hence you suck also.

Haha, the 'you people' argument - couldn't find anything to personally insult me with, hmm? Have fun beating up that straw man!  Cheesy
You people, as in, PEOPLE WHO ARE LIKE YOU, YOU INCLUDED.  To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, hear the lamentations of their women, etc., etc.

Ah, I see you are into Conan and you pick one of the very few speaking parts he has to use here in your post.

89  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Freaky Toddler! on: 2006 July 24, 22:34:34
My toddlers get that when they are throwing a fit too.  I always put it off to a glitch of them opening their mouths screaming and the image to "resetting" correctly.

Good to know that it's really a "feature".  Roll Eyes

I have had quite a few toddlers with the external teeth.  I have only had two of them that still had it after they turned into a child.  That's when I just grew the kid up, which still had it as a teen and adult, moved him out and then deleted him.  A little too freaky.

90  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Rant - The ways in which the sims community is completely insane. on: 2006 July 22, 04:12:26
I just noticed MTS2 "zero tolerance" policy, this ends up being kinda of rant against then but MTS2 seens to been taken over by TSR, perhaps not in terms of ownership and staff but in terms of behavior ... perhaps saying this will not make popular but what the hell.

Exactly.  Thanks for saying it.  I have thought this for a long time.  The Nazi style forum moderation and all the policies and now a zero tolerance policy.  For the love of old ladies having heart attacks...WTF?

OMFG!   Cheesy

Pathetic.  People are just plain sad and well pathetic.

93  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Looking for hack that enables elders to have adult jobs on: 2006 July 18, 04:23:36
A while back I remember reading about a hack that enables elders to have regular adult jobs, not the part time hour jobs.  Would anyone happen to know if that does exist and where to find it?

Thanks in advance for any help.
94  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Rant - The ways in which the sims community is completely insane. on: 2006 July 17, 04:02:02
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this post!  I have always thought this and I am glad that it was brought up.

I get so tired of reading about creators getting all pissy and then taking their creations offline because they had a tantrum.  If they are that uptight, self centered and selfish then I think they should permanently take their stuff down and go away.  My husband was a mesh creator for the original Sims game and he was very happy when someone would take what he did and make it their own and change it or make it better.  He felt that if they used his stuff it must be worth using.  He didn't have an ego over it and start screaming and stomping his feet and threaten to take his stuff down.  That's just crazy talk.

I appreciate all the work that creators and modders do, don't get me wrong.  I can't do it and I mostly definitely am glad that they can.  But when they come across as egotistical asses I could care less how good their stuff is.  I can do without it.
95  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Argue about affair on: 2006 June 05, 06:09:23
I think sometimes we are in danger of forgetting that our sims are NOT human beings, and do not always act like we do!

Not real?!  Oh, crap.  I guess I better cancel the life insurance policy I have on them.

Damn, and so many of them were dying of old age.  I thought I was going to get the motherlode.  Wink
96  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Patch is out for FFS on: 2006 May 05, 02:24:29
After reading all of this I am very glad I did not get this one. I'm definitely sure I will pass on this one and any other little packs they come out with.  I didn't even consider getting the holiday one.  I had no interest in it or FFP.  They just seem to be a waste of money if they are not even going to have added interactions and such.

I haven't seen anything in either pack that was worth the money they want for them.

98  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Looking for Fantasy or goth type clothing on: 2006 May 01, 14:36:04
I have been creating my own little town of, well, creatures and I cannot seem to find clothing that fits with the way they look.  I am looking for fantasy, leather or goth type clothes.  I am especially having a hard time finding stuff for the toddlers to teens.

Here's a couple creatures I have so far.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  It's so hard to find the right look for your creatures these days.  Cheesy

Wow, thanks.  Those are great.

I was also looking for more indoor plants too.  For some reason I am having a hard time finding even recolors of the indoor plants.
