You can follow the instructions in this thread to change the max number of sims in clubs, though if you try to set a number higher than what your computer can handle, it'll cause lag/crashing issues.
77  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! on: 2010 December 17, 04:21:06
I'm finding s3pe running out of memory when trying to combine my clothing packages.

Right now I have three combined packages that I'd ideally like to turn into one big package. They are:

Adult.package - 98.3 MB
Teen.package - 42.7 MB
Clothes.package - 55.8 MB (and this file is the one that I want to fold the other two into.)

I they should come together to be under the EA's target size of 200 MB, so I thought things would be cool. But after a certain amount has been imported, the memory space of the application escalates ridiculously to the point where it eats it all up.

I know this is an old post, but I'm currently running into a similar problem, and following the suggested procedure (merging individual packages, then merged those into a single, larger merged package) isn't solving it.

I'm trying this on boot camp with Windows XP. I've got 4 GB of RAM (though XP only recognizes 3), but for the life of me can't get the merged files to go above 50 MB. I know I used to be able to do this, because some of my older packages are up to 100 MB, but since uninstalling and reinstalling my Windows partition, it now errors out if I try to create a package bigger than 50 MB.

Is there some obvious solution that I'm overlooking here?
78  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Installing sims3packs on Ubuntu? on: 2010 December 15, 16:40:46
Can't blame you. I'm running Vista on a Boot Camp partition on my Mackertosh and I've never wanted to dropkick my monitor so frequently and so often. But it plays most games much faster than OSX, so I endure it, and also I don't feel like I live in a leper colony for deformed gamers, with no access to helpful tools or fresh drinking water.

This. I never realized how much Windows annoyed the hell out of me until I got away from it. I still keep the game installed on my Mac partition, mostly out of stubbornness, but the performance is definitely better under Windows.
79  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bypassing the launcher on the mac on: 2010 December 15, 16:20:56
That's true, but since the game always runs from the newest EP rather than the base game exe, I wouldn't think that would be too big a surprise.

Yea I know, I just don't like the extra pie menus Twallan's mods add. It is better than nothing I suppose, since he does update rather quickly.

Yeah, the pie menus are the only real downside for me. All of his mods seem to do it, so once you get more than one in there, it starts getting pretty cluttered.
81  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod installation on Mac help! on: 2010 December 15, 03:33:58
Vagabondher: since you are having difficulties getting AM to work and with bypassing the launcher, I think it's safe to say that you're having problems following directions. Your comment doesn't tell us anything. If you can't explain what, exactly, you tried to do here, I'm not sure how you expect anyone to know where you went wrong.
82  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bypassing the launcher on the mac on: 2010 December 15, 00:32:57
You either skipped a step or messed it up. The method described still works, as I'm using it right now on the macbook.
83  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Things NEVER done on Sims 3? on: 2010 December 14, 20:23:58
I'm with the Witch on this one, I'd like to see same sex couples/men being able to get pregnant. This is already done on a different core mod, with options as to which sim, dominate or passive, gets pregnant. It also has options like if you want men to get pregnant in a straight relationship as well. And since "THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE,"  I currently don't use Awesomemod. So if there was something like this that was compatible with Awesomemod that would be...awesome.
The Twallanian Woohooer allows this, last time I checked.

It's also compatible with AM. Twallan's Woohooer is pretty nice, actually. There's a tuning file you can download to tweak it to your liking.
84  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Things NEVER done on Sims 3? on: 2010 December 13, 03:16:51
If you wanted to be believable, you should have chosen a different name. It's difficult to put on the reasonable act when your username includes "LOL" not once, but twice. Besides, if you were really curious what players wanted, you would have checked out the AM request thread.
85  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TS3 Store Stuff Made Shiftable Now with CURTAINS on: 2010 December 12, 05:36:04
As far as updating CC (I've never tried any store items, so I don't know if they work the same or not), all I did was open the package in S3PE, clicked on the OBJD and changed "CanBeMovedUpDownOnWall" to True. Pretty straightforward, and so far it's worked fine.

Thanks for the clarification, Jessnova. I never tried shifting the lights without the mod, so I assumed it was needed (which teaches me not to make assumptions, apparently). Gelydh's shiftable mirrors one is especially useful, though now I'll have to try the game without it and see if it's needed or not.
86  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TS3 Store Stuff Made Shiftable Now with CURTAINS on: 2010 December 10, 17:29:36
Is English your first language? That's not intended as a dig, I just had a hard time understanding your post.

Without any mods, no wall lights are shiftable. With Gelydh's mod, base game and EP lights are shiftable, but not CC ones or store ones. If you can move your base game or EP wall lights up and down, you have a mod that enables you to do so.

SimPE was a typo that I'll go back and fix-- it was supposed to read S3PE. That's what I get for posting in a hurry, I guess.
87  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TS3 Store Stuff Made Shiftable Now with CURTAINS on: 2010 December 10, 05:42:47
Then you have a mod that allows you to do so, like Gelydh's linked to in the first post. Secondly, this deals with store items, not CC. You'll likely have to go into SimPE S3PE and make any CC lights shiftable yourself if you want them to move up and down.
88  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 December 05, 06:53:30
It's an EA glitch that makes the game hang at 8 am. But if it hangs at 8 am on a Sunday and you skip past the time that paychecks are handed out for writing novels, then you miss out on your paycheck. Same thing on Mondays if the game hangs and you skip past the time that you you can collect money on purchased properties.

I haven't experienced any noticeable hang at 8 am, other than the general lagginess in Bridgeport as a whole. Are you playing with AM?
89  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Attempting to Unlock the other High Rise shells on: 2010 November 20, 05:30:37
When it is known that the bad ones can ruin games, it is irresponsible to force people to get them just to have the safe ones.

I don't think it's possible to force somebody else to do something over the internet. Blackmail, maybe. Does Jynx have some kind of information on you we should know about?
90  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is it really my processor? on: 2010 November 04, 04:01:24
Like others have mentioned, I wouldn't think CPU alone would be enough to cause crashes. EA tech support is a joke, and they likely just wanted to get you off the phone.

Sometimes you can go into a store, say what you want your computer for, and they'll fix you up with one.

I would be very, very careful about this. It's not a good idea to go out computer shopping and depend solely on a retailer for advice unless it's someone you trust, and never do it at a big box retailer. They may or may not know what they are talking about, and a lot of employees will gladly take advantage of a customer in order to make a sale, especially if there's commission involved.
91  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What's the proper way to edit NPCs with editsim? on: 2010 November 04, 03:02:21
Physical changes won't stick with editsim. You could try the bodysnatch command, but I'm not sure if it would work with NPCs.

ETA: *smacks forehead* Never mind, I just realized you mentioned bodysnatch in your post.
92  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 November 04, 02:08:54
Has anyone figured out a surefire fix to the slow and jerkiness bridgeport seems to get over time? I know about overwatch and the cars, but that doesn't quite cut it. It's still jerky, way more than anywhere else, after a while.

This is a problem I'm noticing as well. I recently doubled my RAM and other worlds play fine, yet Bridgeport just gets worse the more I play it.
93  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night - Unexpected Error Occurred on: 2010 October 29, 01:35:18
How do you suggest I go around the launcher? By launching an .exe file on a Mac?

This is covered in plenty of detail elsewhere on the site. Numerous MATYians play on macs and avoid the launcher, myself included. Use the search button.

ETA: Having read your earlier posts, I'm still not clear: the method of editing the plist no longer works for you, or were you never doing it at all? AFAIK, there's no other way to avoid the launcher on a mac.
94  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Where to find GOOD custom worlds? on: 2010 September 24, 03:49:53
The best kind of irony is self-righteousness that leads to self-ownage. Inability to read indeed, dumbasses.

Indeed, that's something you would know quite a bit about.

But nope, I stand corrected. I followed the link, but apparently am far more tired than I initially thought.
95  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Where to find GOOD custom worlds? on: 2010 September 24, 01:30:56
Here's a good Sims 1 world: http://ctnutmegger.com/

I think even the BBSers would be appalled by your inability to read. I suggest you re-read the title of this section.
96  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 September 23, 16:28:28
AFAIK, the only way to do it is using the decrapify tool. Not sure if legally purchased store items will install in S3P form without being decrapified or not.
97  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Paysites must be destoryed - been destroyed? on: 2010 September 19, 02:21:58
What kind of response are you looking for, exactly? Pescado has already stated that the booty isn't going anywhere. If it doesn't load for you, go make a cup of tea, grab a book, and check back later.
98  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 September 12, 02:12:46
Its not a  question of being lazy, I have a mac and no access to a PC. I would gladly do it myself if i could.

Wrong. This has been covered numerous times. You are being lazy. Learn how to search and stop expecting the rest of the world to cater to you.
99  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: N00b here asking for some help. on: 2010 September 10, 01:01:58
The fact that your first post included something a basic google search could answer strongly indicates that you did zero research before posting. If you had, you would know that MATY eats n00bs.

As for not contributing you never know, you may get lucky and never hear from me again.  Then again I hear Karma is a bitch so dont count your chickens before they hatch.

I have absolutely no idea what this is supposed to mean. If you want to continue to make posts like these, no one is stopping you. That's the funny thing about the internet: everybody has the ability to make an idiot of themselves if they really want to.
100  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: N00b here asking for some help. on: 2010 September 10, 00:26:45
Well everyone has to learn somehow.  I am sure you didnt wake up one morning and go "Man I feel like I am a prodigy of pirate!" Everyone learns this from someone but I figured out my problem and its not the tom-foolery part but thanks for the kind words!

Clearly, we should be grateful for the chance to help a complete stranger who has contributed absolutely nothing to this forum and we will probably never hear from again.
