Now that is really odd, yeah.
Anyway, I'm not completely sure that gossips do nothing. I had a sim gossip to another about a third sim (the second didn't meet yet) and that second sim fulfilled a want about meeting new sim.

The default Maxis behavior is completely farkled, as I've seen unexplainable results where someone goes ballistic over two TOTAL STRANGERS that they don't know. Probably it involves gossips; if e.g. Sim A gossips Sim B about Sim C cheating, C is not a total stranger anymore, and the result will be that Sim B will act like it were a direct witness of Sim C cheat.

Here I am ![Smiley](/smf/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . You need to put the packages in Macintosh HD > Documents > EA Games > The Sims 2 > Downloads (exactly that: capital D and stuff - if that folder doesn't exists, create it). Also, check if in the popup the custom content are already enabled; if you checked it and the next time you launch the game is unchecked again, then you suffer a known bug; there are some workaround for that, but first you have to be sure that the custom content are already enabled when the game starts.

The japanese tea table is cloned from the bubble blower, and people who had drank tea will randomly appear floating in air on community lots (expecially children).

I'm pretty sure that exists a "date jealousy" aside the standard jealousy, with its indipendent settings. I don't know, though, if and how it's handled in jealousy mods.

Marhis: seriously? Then it is a simple matter of SimPE fixing.
Yup ![Smiley](/smf/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . You can lower their outgoing points to 8, and they will stop (I'm not completely sure if it's 8 or 7, but just try). And that doormat would be really awesome!

It's because of the outgoing personality. If a sim has 9 or 10 outgoing points, will never ring the bell, but will always enter other's homes directly. (in technical terms, they will have the "greeted" bit setted as soon as they fade in in the lot).

I think it's mainly because of different time flow in uni lots; this should be handled by the subhood type, thus you can't have a freezed timeflow (as in community/business lots) in a uni subhood.
There really isn't any meaningful reason for that, either, as community lots do not have timeflow. I meant that Uni community lots have the time flow like in residential lots, for students; timeflow freezes only in non-Uni community lots. If in the game this feature is linked to the kind of subhood, then it makes sense, because if a student sets up a business in a Uni lot, he will have to attend classes, etc. anyway.

Yup, assuming that you have a mesh similar to the skinny one. Create two projects in BodyShop: one from the skinny dress and one from another similar dress (with the mesh you want to use). Go to Projects folder and copy the textures (should be 3 picture files) from the skinny one folder to the other, letting them overwrite. In BodyShop go to the project with the not-skinny mesh and refresh, so you'll see if the texture is correctly applied. If it is, import to game.

I'm not sure if this is related, but I noticed that if I clone a sim before packaging, it will have all his stuff, while if I package that sim directly by the BS bin it will not. (I have only Pets, patched, not Seasons).

Magicmoon, you made me die of laughing ![Grin](/smf/Smileys/default/grin.gif) . Oh, and at least one of the premade families will have a pregnant member; once moved in that family, the newborn baby will have a random holyday mascot as the father, or the yeti itself.

Great idea the slots, it's also maybe the most tested solution so far, in similar issue (think of MUD codes, or MMORPG).
I don't know if it is possible, but granted that the accessories matters for turnon/turnoffs, may one decide if that specific accessory will act as a eyeglasses turnon or not? I think e.g. at hats as accessories, or other similar stuff. If the bin matters, then it should be possible to set their effect in NL and eventually correct.

I've had the same exact issue in the past, with basegame only; the only solution was move out and bulldoze the lot. I've solved with the fix by Crammiboy for portal deletion. After that fix, that glitch occurred no more. The delivery man was a nice ornament, BTW. ![Grin](/smf/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
