I've had a successful restaurant, without BRY but the the host, cook and server were all family. Keeps wages low. First day the business made $1000 and has been growing since. Only employed servers, since the playables ran everything else. BRY makes it easier though.

I would like to second how wonderful this mod is.
However I am getting the same experience as cascaneda, I have exported Angela and Lilith Pleasant, after making new modified clones in Bodyshop I have tried to sim surgery them.
When I first click load the saved sims folder comes up. I select the newly created sim. When it returns to the simsurgery screen it has the file name correct, but once I click on use, it goes to the thumbnail and name of the patient sim.
I'm running all expansions and all stuff packs inc Celebrations. I'm running SimPe 0.60.2.20832 I haven't had any error messages.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Poll: How do you feel about accidental deaths in the Sims 2?
|

I would love a deadlier illness, and random car related deaths. Instead of teens getting acne they could get ill, and be contagious.
The only "accidental" death in my game was when I had a sim with an influence... prank want do it, her sim husband electrocuted and killed her brother at her wedding.
At one stage, during my apocalypse challenge I was rolling at birth and every age transition for death, either by risky childbirth or a "failure " to thrive.
I know in real live death can be a tragic painful thing, but my game is so saccharine at the moment, I need drama. Maybe not days of our lives drama, but something. -Skadi

To be honest, it was worth it only cause I create.
I'll probably end up ripping the EA textures and remeshing the dresses and stuff.
I don't think it added any new socials or special behaviour, which I would have loved. Like something to make the bridesmaids dress the same, or different cake interactions. The furniture is cheap, therefore doesn't give you any reason to use it. I still think Glamour gave you the most, but this is better than Family Fun and the Holiday pack [just cause you can use it anytime]

No, I forked out 29.95 at Big W for my Celebration Stuff with new and shiny random name feature. I think I would be less annoyed if I had pirated it. Then I would have at least got what I paid for! I have all eps, and stuff packs, all patches etc. No EA link downloads, all discs, never had this issue before, but had played with the clock. *sigh* -Skadi

Well, it didn't work for me, but it did work for someone else on my forum.
I'm off to do the time honoured re-install.
From what I gather about Sara's experience, if you do this straight after installing, before loading it should work. [at least, it did for her].
Is there no limit to what EA can bork?

Yawn. Thanks for the so called wit Hitch. I know that this isn't something new to people who have used mixed packs but whereas there was a fix by changing the registry this doesn't work with Celebration pack due to their being no US-en support files for it to switch too. Been there and tried the normal fix, it didn't work, that's the reason I was asking about a fix for this. Try reading. It normally helps. -Skadi

I was over that the second time they ran to the windows. They will drop everything every single time it snows/rains/etc.
I would mind it if it was only once, like the first time a sim sees snow.
It even does it with free will off.
Grrr.
Willing to test any hack etc. I've had my game going for 2 days now, and otherwise love it.
Maybe a hack to stop the pond freezing over. Its not like you can skate on it or anything.

and if the hygiene score in the home drops really low, enough for someone to get a stinky cloud, then the maid would refuse to "do laundry" and would take a drop in Daily relationship witht he smelly person. This could be fun, just as long as it isn't an expansion pack in itself: The Sims 2: Laundromat Fun and Suds! -Skadi www.completesim.net
